" Yeah, that gives us a place to start." Kristian nodded. "Glad you're okay, now I don't have to figure out what to do with that clunker of yours." He grinned, but it faded quickly as distant sirens filled the air. He ushered her away from home. " Lets take a walk, if one of those gangbangers recognize either of us with the police around, our lives will get real interesting. Doesn't matter what happens, it's always the metas fault around here."

'oh? ... is that what we are? .. metas?' *sighs and slumps the shoulders as she walks with Kristien 'you know what i'ld like? .. one of these ice cream things. never had the chance to actually sit and eat one. where do i find a DQ? .. i want to try a *names one of the specialty items that is on the menu*. my treat? ... '
*then looks kinda worried 'it is okay for me to do that .. right? .. buy an ice cream for you? .. girls do that. right? .. or .. uhh ... ' *looks nervous now as she tries to explain her stumbling block here, about her lack of knowledge in that regard.

" You really need to relax a bit, but yeah, you can buy me an ice cream if you want." Kristian chuckled as he put her arm around Sierra's shoulder as they walked. They walked a few blocks quietly, until Kristian stopped at the sound of an approaching siren. He pulled her near a storefront and held her close as a pair of patrol cars wailed past. He released her as they turned the corner. " They didn't even notice us. We should be in the clear now. The DQ is just around the next corner and down a couple blocks."

*blinks as she's 'man-handled' .. 'oh. thats good. i'm sure there was a reason for that. uhh .. not that i didn't mind, just would like a warning next time .. oh jeez. i really do need to know more things about life.

*blushing and silent the rest of the way .. she can't think enought to respond to his last comment about her look. her mind is focused on the arm about her. comforting, but a bit different from what she's used too.
'oh wow. you're right. its not that far .. so waht did you want? *gets in line and when its time orders a *ice cream treat* 'oh and his too .. *grins at Kristein and waits. after paying watches as its made, the eyes going wider with each additional item that goes on 'wow .... this is gonna be so good .... '

" You tend to what?" Kristian laughingly asked as he led her to an empty picnic table. He sat down aside her so both of them could look out over the beach acrossed the street. He sat quietly next to her, eating his ice cream. He seemed almost uncomfortable as he asked. " Are you okay now? With what happened and all?"

*grins and nods 'yeah ... i think i'm okay. didn't think everyone was so ... you know ... cold. well, not cold cold, but cold as in not caring about trouble happening. it never happened before. guess i am kinda .. dense about the world huh? ...
*sits and starts to eat the icecream she ordered and closes the eyes .. and 'mmmmmmmmm ... soo good. i'ld see pictures, but never had one .. now i've had one? .. the pictures lied .. this is sooo much better'

*shrugs and continues .. making sounds of delight as she eats and finally looks at him. 'yeah .. its one thing to live in a travelling family. sometimes one step ahead of the law for one reason or another .. but its another if you got .. cavies in your mouth .. oh .. cavitities. cavies are those animal things .. guinea pigs.
'so yeah .. i wasn't allowed th sweet stuff like caramel apples or cootton candy, didn't like it anyways .. too sweet, but this? .. i always wanted one .. and now? .. its ... *shrugs and finishes* ' .. its heavenly'
