Kitty ooffs as she tumbles back against the wall, pinned briefly; as the puck is moved away she slides to the ground, off-balance. Muttering darkly, she pushes her self to her feet, then offers the Captain a nod. "I'm fine, thank you Sir." she replies. "Was getting tired of dodging that thing, so I figure'd I'd try to stop it myself.." she adds, a hint of amusement in her tone.

"Always biting off more than you can chew," mutters Logan. "Right on time, as always Cap."

As the team recovered, the blockers lowered back into the floor and a familiar voice (to all but Aura) came over a hidden PA system. " So the Mighty Avengers themselves have come calling, with the X-Men for back up. I should be flattered." Arcade cackled. " No matter. The chances of you getting to your friends in time doesn't look good anyways. And she was so feisty in the beginning." He cackled again before the voice faded out.

Aura looks around confused. "Who is that? Although I am guessing the bad guy!" Still looking unsure of herself at the situation and what exactly is going on. "That said I am ready to go if everyone else is!"[rand=933035823470788415570555442052947403352702526872639970698495579626]

"Alright people, you heard the man, the odds are against us. Let's show him how we do with that. Aura, from here on out, any barrier, any thing in our way that's not organic? Burn through it. Wolverine and X-23 on point with her. Spider-Man, you know Arcade best, which way do we go? Scarlet? A well placed hex or two to even the odds please."

DD hears Arcade. He clenches his teeth, and his fists at the comments Arcade makes. And since all but him were dolled out assignments by the Star Spangled Shot caller. He turns and starts to run down the hall in the direction they were going before the walls came up and the puck came out.

He thinks to himself, 'so join the Avengers. Be on a team, then be left on your own to deal with the giant puck, and ignored when orders are given out. I have to get to Tabby, I only joined to spend time with her and she is missing. Once we find her I can go back to Hell's Kitchen where I belong.'

He pauses only long enough to try and see if he can detect Tabitha with his senses.

Hearing Arcade, Kitty lets out a rather uncharacteristic growl, a hint of fear and anger in her visage. When X-23 and Logan move forward, she moves to follow, stride purposeful. "I can scout to the left and right from time to time... might stumble over a side-passage or hidden area." she states, looking to the Captain cooly.

After Daredevil took point on his own, Logan, Aura and X-23 led the rest of the team headed down the corridor. They next found an area that was still under construction, clearly waiting for the crates that were still in the warehouse on the surface. Kitty tried, but soon found there was nothing on either side to check out.

Eventually, the corridor opened up to large room. At the far end of what looked like a giant checker board, complete with chess pieces lined up on both sides. At the far end, they could see two connected spheres of water held in place by an energy field. Inside the spheres, Tabitha and Union Jack were treading water. Both of them looked extremely tired and barely keeping their heads in the small area left above the water.

Behind them and above, dressed as always in a bright white suit with his hands clasped behind his back stood Arcade watching. " How fitting. Captain America and his new Avengers win the chance to play my chess match for the prize of their choice. I will enjoy watching this."

One of the white pawns moved forward.

"...where's Rasputin when you need him?" mutters Logan.

"Never mind that now Wolverine. Intercept that pawn! X-23! Aura! Get those two out of there." Cap smiles as he stares down Arcade. "And as for you, Arcade. There's someone who'd like to speak with you." Cap steps aside to let Daredevil have at him.
