"Did she not mention me?" Says William, playing old and feeble as he sat down. "I was sure she would have. We worked together in the war. Well, World War II as you young folks know it. I'm William. And, I saw you in the window, a moment ago and though 'my heavens I see a young memory walking down the street'. So, I had to come see for myself. And who are your friends?" He asks, looking over to Janey and Dmitri. "They seems like good young folks. Your grandmother'ld be pleased to know you have a fine taste in friends." He says, nodding.

Alice shakes her head "No," she answers "Gran never liked to talk about the war. She told me it held too many bad memories for her." Smiling quietly she adds "I've been told I look a lot like she did when she was my age." Alice pauses and then asks "What brings you to Miami, William?"
Turning back to Jane and Dmitri "Oh, this is my friend Jane and her boyfriend Dmitri." Smiling at Jane "Jane's been my friend ever since I moved to Miami to go to school"

*as Maria spots one of the people from the sedan get out to look ahead of the crash and then pull out a cell phone 'oh for .. ' *then narrows her eyes and glares her hatred for stupid people at Fel .. 'would you please get your big fat *** on the move. or you're gonna be spitting babies for that creep there and HIS friends? .. then I can tell Ty that the mo .. that YOU were to flippin stubborn to follow us to safety .. '
*at that point .. taps Dexy on the shoulder and starts to direct her .. turning this way and then down that alley then about and finally emerges on the far side of a tunnel. then as Fel finally passes to lead the way to the cabin, rests her head against Dexy's back one hand trembling as she starts to fight for control over her own power that wants to surge outta control once again.
*dexy is aware something isn't right by the twitching of the arm holding on, as it starts to wiggle and then bounce as Maria's private battle continues, and then sebsides on its own. sadly, Maria knowing her own body and actions, is not at all tricked into thinking she's got it under control. it's only settled to simmer below the surface awaiting release, much like boiling water inside a pressure cooker.

To try to show confort, though it may have caught her off guard, a pair of tentacles sprouted from Dexy's sides to wrap around Maria's waist snugly, more meant as a show of comfort than to hold her on as they cruised into the glades. Finally ariving at the lodge, Felicia parked out front and waited for Dexy to come to a halt. Bike stopped alongside and Felicia got out, glaring at Maria. " If you ever talk to me like that again..." She started, but held her threat at the combination of Dexy's glare and the slam of the front door.
" You guys are back quick." Tyler said, walking down the front step. Felicia's attention shifted and she met Ty at the bottom of the steps. " Let's go inside. I need to talk to you." As they went inside, Trevor stepped around from behind the lodge, setting down an axe he'd been using to slip wood. He wiped some of the sweat from his brow. " Hey Sparks." He huffed. " How'd things go in the city, and who's your friend?"
The look on Dimitri's face gave away he didn't buy Will's story, but Janey did. " Wow, how odd, just running into each other like this? Nice to meet you, William." she said politely. " Why don't you join us?"
" Maybe we should shift tables and let Alice get to know the gentleman?" Dimitri suggested, not taking his eyes off Will.

"Oh. No, no." Says William to Janey and Dmitri. "Don't be a bother, and I certainly don't want to be one, either." William feebly gets up from the table. "I'll juat be up to the counter for coffee, and be on my way." His glance rests on Dmitri, making eye contact only barely enough for it to be significant. And turns his feeble-looking frame towards the counter.
"Good day to you all. And say hello to your grandmother, dear." He says, feebly to Alice.
With that, he feebly shuffles his feeble-looking frame to the non-feeble counter, with the possibly-feeble, almost undernourished 16-yr-old at the counter. With his feeble voice, William orders a small cup of coffee.
Feeble feeble feeble!!!

Alice smiles at William politely "I'll pass your greeting on to my gran when I talk to her. It was nice to meet you. Perhaps sometime we could talk about what my Gran was like when she was younger." As he gets up and goes to the counter, she shakes her head and says to Dmitri and Jane "It's such a small world!"
Just then the waitress brings over their food and Alice eats her french fries. She sends William a message telapathically asking 'William? Is there something I'm supposed to be doing?'

William nods an old man's nod, as he routs for change in a coin purse and thinks of Dimtri and Janey not being at the same place at the same time.

Alice doesn't look in Will's direction as she tries to think of a way to get Janey to go with her. Noticng the jukebox in the corner, she says with a grin "You want to come help me pick out a song, Jane?"

*the grin on the face starts to wilt as Fel comes out of the car and then the eyes narrow as the face and body change as if getting ready to scrap .. 'stick a sock in it next time Fel ... ' *then as Fel and Ty head inside, Maria hollars out at the closeing door ... 'and yer NOT freakin welcome .. you stuck up piece of ... '
*then looks at Trev .. 'uhh .. Trev .. this is Dexy .. she's like me .. well like a sister .. well .. uhh .. ' *as she gets off the bike and looks a bit testy and removes the helmet tries again* 'Dexy is like me .. changed by the same people that messed me over .. 'cept she's cooler than me .. she's got the ten ... got skills .. and she listens to directions .. unlike HER' *making a motion with her thumb towards the cabin.
'oh .. in case you don't hear it from the others .. there was a gunfight and everyone is fine .. so no worries there. i hate Fel as much as she hates me .. nothing new there .. and thats about it .. the others will arrive when they will .. so ... oh .. and Fel's pregnant so i guess thats what they're talking about now'
*looking at he two of them staring the other down and sighs and not thinking starts to open the jacket and yelps 'ohmygod ... no shirt ... eek' .. *then closes it up and holds it in place with a rather sheepish grin on the face .. 'uhh .. the gun shot ... it hit alice and she wanted a clean shirt .. and no one was gonna give her one .. so i gave her mine .. and i think i .. uhh .. i think i'm gonna go over this way .. ' *heading to the side of the cabin quickly, for two reasons. the second becoming apparent as the body lights up like a livewire along with her cursing, and then as she's out of sight, drops to the knees struggling against the need to let it out and to force it into submission

Janey nods and slid out of her seat and followed Alice. " I need to go freshen up anyways." She gave Dimitri a peck on the cheek before leaving. When they got to the jukebox, Janey gave alice a questioning look. " Okay, so what's this all about?"
Once the girls were gone Dimitri shifted his focus to William, but said nothing.
Trevor blushed, then averted his eyes as Maria clamped her jacket shut. Dexy shook her head at Maria's hasty retreat. After what seems like an eternity, she hears footsteps from behind. " When are you going to learn no one can help you when you hide?" Dexy asked. When Maria looked up, she was looming overhead with her arms folded. " And by the way, I think that Trevor likes you. He got all tonguetied after that little flash show you gave him." she smirked.

Noticing Dmitri along, William nods his head for the guy to come over, as he finds his own seat. When/If Dmitri comes over, William says, "So, we find ourselves in a bind, hmm?"

*looks up at Dexy .. 'i ... i don't wanna jurt no one ... i ... i killed .. when i found out i could blow stuff up ... i killed jackie ... i killed my best friend ... ' *then starts crying .. her heart breaking as the flashback hits home again* 'i ... i promised .. myself .. i'ld never do it again .. '
*finally cries out the pain thats been lurking under the surface and after its gone, gets to her feet. the hollow feeling of helplessness is strong, and feels like a strong wind will blow her away. the eyes mirror the vulnerability thats so close on the surface, and then trembles and slowly gets to her feet.
'yer right .. sorry .. i .. i just ..' *the face struggles to not crumple into tears once again, but nods and says 'k .. i'm ready .. but i'll deck the first that bugs me about .. ' *then starts to do up the jacket once again 'oh god .. i don't got much, i .. oh jeez ' *the fuce unchanged, but the actions say it all instead of revealing the blush

" Oh would you give the attitude a rest?" Dexy sighed. " I thought we were going to try to help each other, but all you want is me to feel sorry for you. Give a break, we both got screwed by that french doctor in case you forgot. Okay so maybe you've had a little harder go of live, but you know what, you aren't the first. And that attack on Felicia was way out of line. She's got something bigger on her mind than either of us can imagine, so cut her some slack, okay?" Though meant as a tonguelashing, Dexy's tone stays warm and concerned. " It starting to sound like you don't want anyone's help."
Sliding in next to William, dimitri nodded. " You have no idea." He replied." Please, I want to keep Janey out of this. What is it you want from me?"

I don't want any part in what is going on, but he somehow found out what I am and blackmailed me into this mess. at first it was only to get some woman away from the park yesterday, but then he changed his mind and i'm at his beckon call or he'll hand me over to the city's new anti-meta task force. And I'm sure they'll do worse than deport me. what I do know is Wraith is crazy, and he is not in charge. Someone gives him his orders, but he hasn't said who."
