Flip looked like she punched him in the gut. When she said Jess too, he had a feeling, but now she confirmed it. He tries to hide his true feelings and says, "I am who I am MJ, Can't be anyone else. Would it be easier if I was upset? Yelled and screamed? Probably won't happen sorry. If you just want to be friends, then thats fine, whatever you want, its your life your choice MJ," he says a little anger licking at the end of his statement.
"I like you regardless of your past, and whatever happened with you and Jess, but if you don't think we can be more than friends I'll learn to live with it. The captain has done a pretty good job of keeping us apart anyway. Don't think he likes the idea of his crew getting together. Its up to you MJ. If you change your mind, I'll be here. If not, I'll still be your friend."

On The Galaxy Bridge
Mensk coughed from the workstation on the lower level of the bridge. "You know I can hear you guys." He said. "And can't help but feel a little left out."
The Inside Joke Receiving Area
The guard eyed Jessica suspiciously, for a moment. He probably knew something about her, by the looks of things.
Tawfeek leaned over. "You didn't actually bring more, did you?" He whispered.

"Then why don't you go do something constructive like check the engines or something," Flip barks down at the engineer who seems to show up out of nowhere at the most in opportune time.

Jessica's expression turns serious as she says to the guard and Tawfeek, "I give you my word that those are the only weapons I had on my person."

McKenna looked at Mensk," You can have the captain all to yourself, okay?"
She turned back to Flip, picking up on his anger. " I'm sorry, okay. And the Captain has probably done it for our own benefit to keep this from happening. Look, when we have some free time, why don't we sit down and talk things through. to be honest, I don't know what I think." She admitted.

"Just ignore him," he says waving off Mensk. "and you have nothing apologize for MJ. You are a smart beautiful strong independent woman. You can make your own decisions. I respect you for that and its why I like you. If I didn't then we wouldn't be having this conversation."
Flip smiles and says, "lets just slow down. MJ, lets just be friends. Thats it. if more develops, it develops. No pressure. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

The security guard was about to say something when his earpeace interrupted him. "Right this way." He said, waving them out the door.
On the Bridge
"If you're ignoring me," Mensk says, "Then you won't have to explain how you helped catch the mouse in one of the crew quarters. I don't explaining how I did it. But you would have to explain how you ignored me for your little hallmark moment... On duty, on the bridge, where even the ship next door can see you."
He got up, walked by the pair and to the door. "Just looking out for you guys." He said. "You coming?"

Flip grits his teeth shakes his head and says, "nope. I don't do mice, the Captain never mentioned one anyway. And as you are so quick to point out, I am on the bridge on duty. If we need to book in a hurry which seems to be how we roll lately, then I need to be ready to go. You go have fun playing with your mouse," he says obviously angry at the Engineer.

On the bridge
Mensk leaned over and keyed a monitor to show a layout of the second deck. There was a small heat signature, between Foreman's room and an empty room.
"Sure. If you say so." Mensk said. "I'll try not to break your wall, Foreman."
With a polite smile, he headed out.

As Mensk walks away, Flip waves at his back with one finger. Looking at MJ he says, "its not my ship its the Captains, he wants to take out walls to get one mouse, its on him. Walls are a luxury, I used to sleep in a barracks with 30 other guys," he shrugs.
"So what do you think of this possible mission?"

There seriously is a mouse?" McKenna visibly shivered. " Umm, maybe I better go with Mensk and help get rid of it?Last thing we need is a ship full of vermin, one engineer is enough." she smirked

Jessica smiles politely at Baron and shakes his hand as well before listening to his description of the proposed job. When he mentions its a matter of getting them to the right person, Jessica asks, "And to whom will the good be delivered?"
