A quiet croak of a voice catches Alice off guard. " Hey you, couldn't bare to be away from me?" Jason asked grogily.
" I've only got one psychic, and I need her with me." Mac shook his head. " Ryne you can have if you need him, but I'd sooner give you Avery. He's a little more versitile and needs some field experience. He's good, but needs some tutelege. And I think Kerry can help you out too." Dylin smiles as William speels. " Slow down old friend. Let me keep up. No, I don't know anything about intangible asian kids, I didn't know Tyler had any kids and I guess Wraith makes sense, or at least as much as he ever has. And what is this bloody disc you keep bringing up?"
Ashley nudged Isamu, and then whispered in his ear. " C'mon, lets step out so we can talk." She looked at the others as she took him by the arm. " We'll be back." and dragged him from the room. Finding an empty exam room, she nudged the door closed behind them. " Is, we have to talk. You have to stop putting yourself in my way when I change like you did at the firehouse. One of these times I won't be able to restrain myself."

Alice looks up and smiles at Jason gently. "Something like that." she replies as she gives him a kiss on the forehead. "How are you feeling?"

Alice smiles "The doctor said you were going to be ok. They're keeping you in the hospital overnight for observation to make keep an eye on you to make sure." Alice smile fades and she hugs him gently. "You really scared me." she says quietly "Please don't do that again, k?"

Alice is quiet for a minute before answering "Mac is here, and so is Trevor." Alice pauses before adding "And Alexi was here. He had planned to kill you, but he was stopped. There was this guy named Avi, and Ryne helped, and well, I stalled him until they got here." Alice wonders how badly bruised she may look and hopes most of the bruises are gone now from when Alexi hit her.

"Alexi!" Jason looked panicked at the mention of his name. " Are you sure he's gone?" The monitors hooked to Jason began to sound alarms as his stats began to rise. " He'll be back, you've got to get me my suit before he comes back, Alice." Her bruises heal by her powers , alice sees a side of Jason he keeps hidden deep inside as he struggles, trying to sit up. He seems to have not heard anything since she said his name.

Alice does her best to try to calm Jason down and takes him by the shoulders gently "He's gone, Jason, calm down. You need to recuperate from your surgery. You can't over exert yourself, or you'll be helping him kill you."
If he doesn't respond, she'll climb up on the bed sit on his legs and push him back down so she can look into his eyes "Look at me, Jason." She'll whisper into his mind 'Jason, listen to me. Calm down. You are safe. Shhhh, calm down, you are safe' She will keep doing this, stroking his hair gently until he calms down.

"Ashley, you have told me how bad you feel about hurting someone when you are in that state. We have already gone toe to toe and I survived without even a scratch. If I can help you keep from hurting someone else, then I must. Besides, I thought that because of our...umm...connection that the emotional response would help you gain control over the creatures. It was a gamble, but one well worth it I think."
Isamu walks around the room for a second and then looks back at Ashley. "If I had it to do over again, nothing would change."

Alice's voice in Jason's mind seems to stir some sense into him and he begins to relax and stop struggling. The alarms stop ringing as his stats begin to drop into normal levels. With a deep breath, he rubs his hands over his face. " Sorry, just Rags is the last thing we need right now. Hate dealing with that mongloid on my best... did you say Avi is here? And what do you mean, you stalled him? Him who?" He got a half annoyed look on his face.
" It worked this time, but I can't guarantee it will always work." Ashley grinned as she pulled him close. " I feel a connection to you too, but I want you to promise me something. If it comes down to it and I really do lose control, you won't just play with me like you have and you'll keep me from hurting anyone. " She looked him deep in the eyes. " If you say yes, then I'm going to hold you to it."

"It's ok," Alice says softly, still trying to be comforting. "He's really scary." Alice looks hesitant before asking "What happened? You've fought Alexi before, I'm guessing."
Alice looks down, and then quietly admits "Alexi. I stalled Alexi so he wouldn't find you. I wasn't going to stand around and do nothing while he killed you." Alice gets a guarded look on her face, unsure of how Jason will react to this.

" Are you [explicit] mental? He could have squashed you like a bug!" Jason raised his voice, getting agitated. " What the heck were you thinking? I think you've fallen for me as bad as I have for you, but for cripes sake, you gotta think things through. Your healing powers are no match for Rags. I've seen him pull the engine out of a car and use it like a club. He even through a garbage truck at me once. What the hell were you thinking?" Despite looking pissed, he pulled her to his chest and held her as he spoke lowly. " don't ever do anything like that again. At least not until you know the kind of people I'm used to dealing with."

Alice recoils from Jason when he starts yelling at her, starting to feel defensive and is surprised when Jason pulls her close, she hugs him, trying not to hurt him "I couldn't just stand there and watch him hurt you." She says, her voice full of emotion. "I'd have never forgiven myself if I didn't at least try to help. I care about you too much to do nothing."

" I know." Jason replied. " I'll be okay now. Why don't you go find the others and maybe get something to eat. At least find out what's going on. And if you run into Avi, tell him that's one less he owes me." He smirked. " Or I guess you could just watch me sleep and drool on myself. Oh and I snore too." His smirk grew and he winked.

Alice nods "I guess I should get something to eat. I haven't eaten much today." Chuckling at the last comment, Alice returns the grin and the wink "Well, no one's perfect." Alice gives Jason another gentle hug and a quick kiss before getting off the bed. "I'll come back to check on you later, ok?"
