Hmm you inspire a thought I had a while back, Renekin.
The idea was that Mythical beast were brought back to life. Ones that required specific Mythical heroes. the Like Cuchulain..each hero assigned to stop there counter part beast, Grendel and Beowulf that sort of thing. Most of the heroes had vital and possibly deadly curses that would get them killed in the process possibly. the end reward was the heroes curse or affliction being lifted if they succeeded.

Everyone knows Chaos Earth actually occurred on Macross Earth (about 60 years after the last invasion by giant aliens). PB was just too bound by copyright issues.

Problem (like many of my better ideas) is they have very dark themes and often have the hero needing to sacrifice something. In the case of that there is a possibility of some the heroes not surviving. one I'll post a a couple items I whipped up for Rifts I intend on using in Dark new world should it ever take off again.
I posted the items as the Merrek Valor and Deathwing squadron. both were ideas I made on the Forums of the Megaverse so forgive the cheese-factor.

Rifts: Dream Teams
Players get a team of four PCs, Final Fantasy Style, and compete for contracts, money, love and... Money, I guess. Though, the more powerful OCCs, such as Temporal Raiders, Mystic Knights, and dragons would count as two slots.
