After a few minutes of quiet, Alice leaves her room and goes back downstairs. She starts to go down the stairs, and hesitates for a second, wondering if she should re-join Ashley & William in the living room or not. In the end, she does, remembering that she was the one who went to William and asked to be taught how to use her powers. Alice quietly enters the living room, and sits back down on the couch and asks William "What's next?"

'backup? jeez .. those are ancient .. aren't they?' *taking a long look at the tattered skates that ty's holding .. then chuckles and shakes the head 'backup? .. you got it .. one thing .. on skates i tend to come in fast and vanish hopefully while their still trying to pick themselves up off the ground .. '
*changing footwear once again, slips out of the truck and transfers the various bags to the inside of the truck 'less likely to loose it this way .. its how i survived one winter. lots of boxes with pretty colors .. then i recalled that it was christmas .. about 3 weeks after the fact. but i had food and warmer clothing. and the first pair of skates.'
*then looks sideways at Ty and gives a little shrug and loosens the sleeve covering the slingshot and nods 'ready when you are' *and closes the door and slides backwards about 15 feet and *blends* with the clustered people nearby and starts her job of tailing and backup.

William looks around. "Tyler mentioned a quarry nearby." He says. "When Trevor and Ashley are ready, we'll move there." He starts to rise from his chair. "I want to see all of your levels of control."

" Look just because they aren't brand new like yours..." Tyler replied to Maria as he put on the well used skates. " Just keep an eye out for trouble okay? This shouldn't take long." He glided off with a skating style that seemed odd on roller blades. He made his way nearly a half mile along the busy boardwalks until he met a man in a suit at a newspaper stand. Out of earshot, Ty's body language is agitated as the other man handed him a fairly large package. " The suit's backup is easy to pick out of the crowd in their similar attire despite the warm day. As they seem to be finish up the exchange, movement in the corner of Maria's eye grabs her attention as a pair of bicycle cops home in on Tyler.
Felicia, slightly miffed, got a devilish look in her eye. " Lets really test Alice. I'm supposed to take this out to Jason. ." She held up the duffel bag and held it out to Alice. " Think you could pull it off, other than the extra arms? Unless you can do that too, just slip on my jacket, he'll never know the difference. " She picked up the trenchcoat and held it out as well.
Ashley grinned ." I gotta see this."
At nearly the same time, the door slung open and Trevor stepped inside, seemingly calmed down after his display. " He glanced at the others. " Why do I get the feeling I should have stayed outside?"

"No reason." Says William. Turning to Alice, he says "You're free to try and mimic Felicia for Jason, though I am unsure how Jason will take it. As for you two." He says, looking between Ashley and Trevor. "Quarry, now." And he saunters towards the door.

Alice looks uneasy as she says "I guess I can try. I don't think I can grow extra body parts though" She glances at William as he walks towards the door before turning back to Felicia. "I will need your clothes before I can make myself as tall as you, as I don't want to wreck my clothes." Smirking she adds "Unless you suggest I go out in nothing but your trenchcoat."

*the eyes narrow with distrust, then in a heartbeat has picked up a branch from the ground and is moving. glad to be wearing gloves, sliups up behind the rear bicycle and inserts the stick into the back wheel and slides to a stop with some other "local color" kids taking a break on the path. thinks to herself as they make assorted groans and whimpers of pain while getting to their feet ...o0( now i know that had to hurt, but they're still moving .. was that enough for you ty? )
[nat 18+ to do the stick attack on the innocent bike - is so nasty at times i astound even myself at times, and this is one of them .. poor officer, feel sorry for the guy. not mortal damage, just the pride and bike thing]
*watches as the second officer wipes out and over the handlebars and into his/her partner's back wheel. the eyes stray from the tangle of limbs and bike parts to watch the 'backup' of the man in a suit.
*arming a marble in the slingshot, continues to hold it at the ready, and from the cover of the laughing teen gang, takes careful aim on the backup as the body's instincts start checking for a second backup in the immediate area.

" Maybe it's better we don't pull that on him." Felicia suggested at Alice's trepidation. " But you should tell him exactly what you can do. I'm pretty sure he's got a... " she stopped midsentence and looked at Ashley.
" It's okay Fel. I know it's over between Jas and I. I was just holding onto the past." Ashley's calm tone didn't match the hurt look in her eyes. She grabbed Trevor by the collar as she headed outside. " C'mon, lets go see what Will has in store." Trevor started to protest, but never got a chance as she hauled him outside.
" And I have to get this over to Jason." Felicia stated and headed for the other door, leaving Will and Alice alone.
Felicia retuned and handed Jason the duffel bag. Jason grinned as he pulled out a wicked looking paintball gun and began loading the hopper while smirking at Eric. " Not sure if you've ever been hit by one of these, but they sting. I've got a range of about 200 feet and a hundred round. You're test is to use that speed of your to avoid getting hit without going outside of my range." He pulled the safety lever to load his paintball gun. " You better start running."
The cops mistakenly think the local youths were responble as the get to their feet and give chase. The backup's started to go for weapon hidden beneath their coats, but never drew them. Ty and his contact looked up long enough to see what was going on before finishing their exchange. Handing Tyler a fairly large box, the mob soldier spun on his heels and left. The backup gunmen waited a few minutes before following after the first. tyler skated over to Maria with the box in hand. He looked at the wrecked police bikes. " you can tell me later. Let's go." He led the way back to the truck and unlocked it. " So you just passed your first test with flying colors." He changed his footwear and got in, passing Maria the box as they pulled away. " so, fill me in, what happened with the cops? Oh, you wanna open that?"

Alice's face falls a little and she asks Ashley "What do you mean?" but Ashley is out the door and doesn't answer. She turns to try to ask Felicia, but Felicia's gone before she gets the chance. Alice tries not to automatically assume that Jason had lied to her, but finds it hard to keep her mind from wandering in that direction. Trying to hide the hurt and confused expression on her face, Alice turns to William and says "I guess we should head out to the quarry now."

William nods. "It wasn't all that appropriate of Felicia to ask that of you. Whomever Jason was interested in, he's interested in you now. And, more clearly, so are you." He holds out his arm to direct her out.
Outside, he walks with the others down into the pit. "Yes, this should give us about a week."
Turning back to the others. "Alright. Who wants to learn not to kill whom?"

As Jason pulls the paint ball gun Eric has a slightly questionable look. "Are you serious." Eric starts backing away from Jason never taking his eye off the gun. "Let me get this you get to shoot at me and I don't get to attack back?" Eric backs up to a tree and snags a small branch from it. "This is make it a little more... interesting. How about you try not to let me tap you with the stick. It'll be good for the both of us." Eric makes graceful movements with the stick as if it were a sword. (the twig is about 3 feet long and strong enough to support its weight, but nothing to damage someone with). "when your ready." Eric says as he salutes Jason with the twig and takes off running. Eric runs in a circle about 150feet around Jason.

Alice has a small, sad smile on her face as she takes Will's arm. "Yeah, I guess you're right." she says quietly as they walk to the quarry. She blushes a little at the realization that her feelings for Jason weren't as secret as she'd hoped. Alice sighs and wonders, not for the first time, if an arranged marriage wasn't the way to go as dating was so annoying and confusing sometimes.
Alice smirks a little at Will's question, as she answers "Well, I already know how to not kill someone, so I'm out." She stands a little ways apart from Ashley and Trevor, feeling a bit awkward after what Ashley had just said.

William grins. "OK." He begins. "The goal of this excersise is for Trevor and Ashley to spar, without killing each other." He steps away from Alice. "Or myself, or Alice. Well, Alice anyways."
