"Well Neal's last name is Franklin and Dan's is Johnson. I think Neal's dads name is Leon. I still have the disk. Do you recognize any of their names?

" I don't know what you mean?" Trevor asked, looking at the glass in surprise before taking a drink. He paused to catch his breath against the burn of the liquor. " Gah, I don't know how you drink it straight like that. And Ty and the others have accepted that I only use my powers in desperate situations, why cant you? There are lots of other thing I do besides fighting evil."
Tyler reached out and placed an arm around Maria, bringing her to his sidewhen she neared. He addressed her victims. " Tell MacColter to stay away from us, or next time I won't stop her." He held out his other hand and let loose an arc of lightning that leapt from his fingertips to slam into the remaining agent as he turned solid and attempted to help his colleges, sending him sprawling.
Backing away, he let Maria get in first before getting in and pullung away. " Great job, kid. You handled that like a pro. But from now on, never let someone know you didn't do it on purpose. We can deal withthe consequences afterwards, okay?" He glanced in his mirror, satified there was no prsuit.
Ashley Loooked at Alice, for a moment before starting. " I justed wanted to clear things up. Felicia told me she told you about what happened between me and Jas, and I wanted to make sure you knew that I won't get in you're way. I was kidding to think there was any chance we could work things out, and when he showed up with you... " she shrugged with a smirk. " Guess I should have seen it coming eventually. I'm sorry for how I acted."
" Leon Franklin? Are you sure?" Jason looked like someone had blindsided him. " He's no businessman, he's a clerk for the mayor's office. and he was supposed to meet Shroud, he had something to give him but he never showed up. They must be looking for whatever he had and grabbed the kids thinking they might ave it."

"Drinking it gets easier after the first couple. Plus, this is cask strength. A bit syrupier, but by no means worse." William grins, refilling their glasses. "It's not about going off like Superman keeping Lex Luthor from using his next kryptonite-fueled plan at bay." William says, his tone tunring genuine as they drink. "It's about you being willing to use your abilities to defend yourself at all times. Not just when it's most dramatic, or your life is threatened." William takes a sip, and swishes it. It was chaulky for a second. Then swallows. Picking up the bottle a little hard to swish it, William reads the label. "Hmmm. I'll never understand how they get a creamy flavour out of peat-smoked barley." He says.

Alice listens to Ashley, and nods "I appreciate your apology." Alice doesn't bother to tell Ashley that Alice herself doubted that Jason was seriously interested in her at all, as she didn't want to give Ashley false hope. All she says, with a quiet smile, is "I really do hope we can get along and work together to figure out what is going on."

*turns the eyes to look at Ty, they are full of remorse and sorrow, but she nods. 'gotcha .. i just hope that the ghost man there understood. he scared me in the tunnels.. and i thought i had him ..buthe went ghost. i ... '
*then turns the attention to the front and gives a couple of directions and gets them out of the aquashed and near the outside of the city. 'i think we should get some tape and then alter the plates a little .. maybe get a few coverups in case.' *then at Ty's strange look, explains the false plates that are easily removed and replaced with false plates over the real one* 'street shows more than it lets on ... '

" Creamy? It tastes worse than paint thinner." Trevor exclaimed as he finished his glass with another swallow and gasped against the burn. He set the glass down. " You make it sound like it's wrong that I don't want to hurt anyone and I'm sure I'm not the first to hate whut they'vve becumme." His speech slurred slightly as his eyes bugged. " I shuuden't be drinnking thiss after I tuk those painkillurz."
Ashley nodded. " That would be a first, but we never seen anything this big before. It's like the whole city has turned against us." She looked about to continue when something black beneath her skin passed into view on her neck before she shooed it from sight. " Sorry, they're a little restless today. Must be bored or something. Either that or my frustration is contagious. Anyways, thats not what I wanted to talk to you about. You might have an inside track on who set up Will in the park. Do you have any idea how to find Dimitri? someone said you know his girlfriend."
" I'm pretty sure he won't mess with you." Ty replied as he turned into an alley after following Maria's directions. He reached acrossed in front of her with an " Excuse me" and opened the dash. He routed around until coming out with a roll of electrical tape." This work?" He handed it to her and sat up. " Not a bad idea. Should at least be enough to get us out of city. Guess you picked up all kinds of tricks on the streets huh? Probably even teach me a few."
He looked at her, his tone getting serious. " I just want to make sure you realize what you're into. Those guys will play for keeps from now on. You caught them off guard this time, but they'll expect it from now on. Thats why I called you by your nickname. I didn't want them to know who you really are. It's safer for you that way, and most of the others do the same thing. Well," he smirked," except me and Jason since they already know us, and Will too. Speaking of which, lets get to your idea so we can get home. I need to have a long conversation with Will."

Alice nods quietly "He's dating a close friend of mine. I don't know much about Dmitri, but if I called up my friend, I'm sure I could arrange a get together with the two of them. Why? What did you have in mind?"

"Neal's Dad works for the Mayor? And who's this "Shroud" character? I've never heard of him. Does he work for the Mayor?" Eric lets his brain start to piece together what little information he has. "I have to find out whats on that disk." He says in an almost inaudible tone. Eric gets up "I'm going to get my laptop"

*nods .. and when Ty pulls over, slips out to alter a couple of the digits on the plate. a 0 is turned into an 8 .. the D into a B and then mind takes over and alters a couple of the others .. just in case. standing up and setepping back looks up 'better, we can go now .. and i want outta here .. always thought i'ld be safe if i left people alone. thats not gonna happen now. lets get this done, and maybe then i won't feel bad if i gotta kill someone. they won't be jackie .. no one will be.'
*then gets back into the vehicle and slips the tape away and buckles up. looking at the bos comments 'guess the person's dead now? ..wonder how hard it would be to kill me? the maria me i mean .. the person i was, not really kill me. just to make it look like i died, then they'll leave me alone, right?'

William puts the bottle down. "Yeah. You're probably right about the alcohol." He reaches over and takes the glass back. "But your ideology will get you killed son. It really will. These aren't comic book villains. I can't count the number of times I've been shot at, attacked and..." William stops, and looks at his nearly-empty glass.

" He was part of the assassination, or so Maria said. And he was there yesterday in the alley, the big coppery guy." Ashley explained. " We have to start somewheres to figure this out, and Dimitri is the only lead we have. Are you up for a field trip?"
" Disk? What disk? Is that what you two were up to at the coffeeshop?" Jason called after Eric as he left for his room. He was still at the table when he returned. " Shroud is a friend of Tylers from back in the agency. Don't know the whole story, but it had something to do with the mob up north. C'mon, lets see what this disk is.
" You won't have to kill anyone. " Ty replied somberly. " I won't let it happen. That's the only rule I have. Anything else happens, well, it's and fair game, but no killing." He looked over at her, and shook his head slowly. " It doesn't work. They know about you now, so it's no point trying to hide your past. Luckily, as long as noone tells them, they won't find out who you were before. " He turned back to the road, driving a little more conservatively. " Crap." He muttered after a few minutes and pulled into the first gas station he saw. After slipping out to fill up, he walked inside. As she glanced around, Maria noticed the biker she'd seen before, staring at her.
Trevor nodded in an exaggerated manner. " I know, but maybee thad be beddur. Look, I don't feel so gud, can we talk about dis sum udder time?" Trevor turned, headed for his bed. " I beddeur ly dowwn." He made it to the bed, but not in it before flopping down.

As Trevor slumps into the bed, William checks Trevor's pulse to make sure it's not too slow. As the effects start to dissapate, William hefts Trevor up into a fireman's carry, and sneaks him out the back door. Eventually, William makes it to the shed, and gets all the rope he can carry, and begins his plan to tie Trevor to a nice, high, solid branch.

Alice pales at the mention of Dmitri's role in the mayor's assassination. She thinks about how, when she talks to Jane, she needs to warn Jane about Dmitri. 'But what would I say? she wonders to herself 'Sorry Jane, but the guy you're dating is part of a big conspiracy that murdered the mayor. Oh, and he's a mutant. How do I know? Oh, because I'm a mutant too'
Alice nods "I saw Dmitri in the alleyway as well. I was pretty shocked when I heard him talking to Will." Alice pauses for a minute before asking Ashley, "What kind of field trip did you have in mind?"

*does a double take, then rolls down the window and calls out to the biker, "deth is lookin for you. better get lost" .. *then looks down at the lap as the hand starts to flicker a little.
*a strained frown gets it to settle down and wink out, but glances out the corner of the eye to see the result of her warning. taking adeeper breath, notices that the biker is moving off now and out of view and thinks ...o0( come on dude .. we gotta git outta here while the gettin's good.. gotta tell you about .. )

The woman on the bike simply rolls away slowly, watching Maria the whole time until she cruised down the street. Moments later, Tyler slung the driver's door open and climbed in, starting the truck . As he pulled back onto the street, Tyler glanced over at her. She could tell something was bothering him despite attempts to hide it. " No more stops. This time I'm almost sure." He forced a smile before returning his attention to the road as they neared the city's edge.
Trevor didn't stir despite Will's less than gentle approach. He merely snored as he was tied into the ropes and hoisted up. The only signs he was even alive was the raspy breath sounds he make as he hung limply from from the branch.
" We need to talk to Dimitri. " Ashley answered. " I don't think he'd be involved with something like this by choice, but I've been wrong before. hopefully he will give us some info to help us without having to force it out of him." She smirked. " Transit's just a big metal Croatian teddy bear once you get to know him."
" Yes, I used to date Dimitri," she explained before Alice could ask, " but there wasn't any chemestry there and we broke it off after a couple weeks."
