Ashley nodded to Will as he departed and started towards the lodge.
" Look, everyone of us went through this at on point or another." Felicia replied warmly as she took a seat on the edge of the bed. She placed a hand on alice's shoulder. " And if it makes you feel any better, I'm a little confused about what exactly is going on too. Now Jason and Ashley on the other hand, I know exactly what the story is there." She sighed, as if she's told the story once too often already. " Jason's a flirt, you already knew that, but he used to be alot worse. Ash had a crush on him and he was starting to warm up to her, but when she broke his spine with a guardrail by accident, that ended any future together from his point of view. I guess she thought they might patch things up or something, who knows, but he wants no part of her. That clear things up?" She turned to look at Ashley in the doorway.
" Sorry to interrupt. " Ashley said forcibly calmly. " I just wanted to apoligize for the way I acted earlier, Alice, and thank you for you quick thinking when I slashed Trevor up earlier. It's good to have someone around who knows something about first aid when Ty's running the roads." Trevor passed by behind her, poking her in the ribs to make her jump as he did, causing her to jump. He laughed as the door to the room next door closed.
Jason met Eric just inside the front door. " Those were some pretty fast moves out there. I'll have to come up with something a little move challenging for you. ."
Ty glanced over at Maria, taking a deep breath to calm himself." I'm sorry about your puppy. Maybe we can get you a new one or something once things settle down. I don't have anymore stops, so we can head back. hopefully they haven't killed each other yet." He forced a smirk before glancing in the mirror to see what she was watching, surprised nothing was there out of the ordinary. As they reached the outskirts however, two nondescript sedans followed them at a distance, making each turn Tyler did. He glanced over at her. " Any ideas how to ditch them?"

Nodding at Felicia, Alice nods. "Yes, it does, thank you."
Alice gets a look of surprise at Ashley's thanks and nods "It was nice to be able to help. I was beginning to think I was only in the way and was useless." Alice slips her shoes back on, "I will be fine." she says to Felicia, trying to convince herself of that fact. "I have had a rough couple of days and it caught up to me." She grabs another kleenex and puts it in her pocket. Easing her way past Ashley, she leaves the room and heads for the back door intending on going for a walk.

William simply continues flying low among the trees, when he sees Alice stepping outside. For a while, he decides simply to watch her, since she wouldn't have snuck out the back if she wanted a lot of company.

" If you want to talk, I'm pretty easy to find." Felica called after Alice as she left. As she moved further away, she overheard Felica and Ashley talking. " You need to talk to Trevor."
" I know, I'm going there next. Will wanted me to talk to Alice first." the rest of the conversation faded as she walked away.
From his vantage point, Will caught something moving in the corner of his eye. When he looked, he saw Michael slip into the shed.

Alice heads outside and towards the woods, making sure to stay on what looked like a main path so she didn't get lost. Finding a nice place to sit, she does so and leans back against a tree, hugging her knees to her chest. She finds that she's crying again, and gets annoyed with herself. She scolds herself lightly and tries to get herself under control feeling glad there was no one around, although a small part of her admitted that she could really use a friend she could trust, like Jane, right about now.

Noting that Alice looks clearly more emotionally distraught than Michael, William decides to see what's up with her. Landing quietly, he says "Alice? Is everything OK? Did Ashley not talk to you?"

'don't worry about the puppy. don't think one would be safe about me if i do something strange and grow wings or something worse than the sizzle or crackle now ... ' *then goes quiet as she finally realizes that the two cars were there and turns to the front again
'as for them? .. how dirty you wanna get? there's the drainage overflow ditches .. a couple of racetracks .. and thats in this direction .. or take them west about three blocks and make it look like you turned into the underground parking lot, but go next door to the motel's drive thru and swing behind them ... ' *giving rapid directions to each of them, so the choice remains with the driver .. somehow glad that her knowledge of the city streets now coming in handy.
'hope you got a city map out there .. cause i think i'm gonna have to show you some things on paper if you gonna be driving.

Alice looks up and says "Yes, she did. She thanked me for helping with Trevor and apologized for behaving badly, which was nice of her. I was beginning to think she wanted me to leave." Alice sniffles and takes the kleenex out of her pocket. "I don't know what's wrong with me," she says, "I just can't stop crying." She sighs and says "I don't think I can do this. Maybe I should leave." William can see she looks confused as she hugs herself tighter.

William sits next to Alice, but still tries to keep an eye on the shed. "It's stress. It happens to everyone. As you get used to it, it gets easier. I used to cry when I was first taken into the army. Very hard experience. A couple of barracks destroyed out of stress-rage... Fun times." *reaching out with an arm, and giving her a fatherly hug, he says "Don't worry, things will get better. Maybe not in the next five minutes, but they will. Just gotta be tough and stayt the course. Right?"

Alice hugs William back, feeling glad for the fatherly comfort. "Yeah, I guess so." She blows her nose. Noticing his glance at the shed, she asks "Whatcha looking at?"

"Oh. I say Michael sneaking into the shed. Care to do some investigation? I hear you journalists are good for that." William gets up and then helps Alice up, leading her to the shed, giving the "shh" signal.
Once they get to the shed, William'll pop his head in to see what he can see.

Alice grins at William and says "That sounds like fun" When they arrive at the shed, Alice peeks around William, trying to see what is going on.

As Eric approaches Jason and Jason speaks to him Eric replys with a blown off "Yea...." Eric takes a seat across from him and asks him some questions. "So why did you have Felicia grab me and Ice? What did you want with us? For all we know we have nothing to do with all this. I was just trying to find my friends. Speaking of which I should really get back to that." Eric waits for Jason's reply before getting up.

Inside, Michael is rummaging thru the odds and ends that have been piled up over the years. A small pile of pieces lay on one end of the bench next to a battered radio as he stripped the inner workings of a vcr and tossed the tape loading mechanism onto his pile. He was too engrossed to notice the pair's approach.
" That wouldn't be a good idea." Jason replied. " In case you hadn't noticed, the ones who showed up at the library weren't looking for felicia or me and Alice. Whatever you and your friend were up to drew them after us. So whatever is on that disk is important to disrupt the lives of anyone who might have come in contact with it. We need to find out what it is, but if you think you have to leave, I can't stop you. But I can tell you that those goons will come after you again until they get what they want. If you stay with us,we can work together and figure out why it's so important." He grinned. " Plus, we could really use a speed demon like you on our side."
" Show me things?" Tyler said in disbeleif, his angry tone softening. " Next you're gonna tell me to let you drive." He listened to Maria's directions, and seemed surprised they were dead on. He pulled into the drainage ditch and accelerated despite the deep puddles throughout. He glanced in the mirror, his teeth clenched. " We're never gonna lose them his way. We'll have to make a stand. Besides, " he grinned as he brought the suburban to a halt. " Besides, two on one are fair odds, Let's go kiss some butt." His door slung open and he stepped out. The pursuers were already doing the same.
