*turns to look at Tyler .. the strangest look on the face. a look of fear and panic, coupled with a strange look of compliance. 'it's changinbg me .. isn't it? .. oh good grief .. '
*looking down at her hands and then see's the traces of a sparkling of electricity building once again on the arms and now the legs as well. 'i gotta go .. i don't wanna hurt anyone ... not again, i won't hurt an innocent like last time. i killed a good friend when i changed the last time ... '
*gets out of the vehicle and then starts backing away from Ty .. eyes going wider with panic, then doubles over in pain as the area about the bent body erupts into a bubble of static electricity. the varied colored arcs of color dancing and arcing out to touch other metal about her. the low quiet moan of pain builds as the body straightens up and then collapses onto the back and twitches a couple of times before everything goes still. the random flash of energy still moves like quicksilver over the body in random directions.
*the quiet whisper from the half stunned sparks comments 'oh god, leave me .. i don't wanna hurt anyone ... oooooo ... ' *as they start coming quicker once again, then stop.

As Eric notices what Jason is doing he makes a mad dash towards Felicia. A bust of air erupts from behind Eric as he moves into sonic speeds. Everything moving in slow-motion Eric picks the paint out of mid air (Strike 19+9= 28) and dive-tumbles past Felicia holding the still intact ball. Less then a second later an almost deffening sonic boom follows him. Looking down he is amazement that he actually was able to catch it. The looks of awe is apparent in his face.

Trevor looked up at Alice and Ashley, surprisingly calm despite the gashs deep in his shoulder. " I told you I wouldn't fight you."
"Shut up." Ashley replied before rising and heading for the lodge, Alice's shouting spurring her back to reality. " Be glad I didn't go for your throat." She glared at William as she passed him, but said nothing as she started to run.
" You think you're the first hard luck story I've heard of one of our kind hurting someone by accident?" Tyler replied, not afraid as he stepped in close to Maria. " Ask Ashley or Felicia. They've both had similar experiences. The difference is they were willing to let their friends help, otherwise you'll end up being afraid of what you are like Trevor and never realize the potential you have." He held out his hand to her. " The choice is yours but, " he smirked warmly," if you leave, I'll return the skates."
" Very nice Eric, you're faster than I thought." Felicia sounded surprised. She was about to say something else when Ashley ran past, rubbing her eyes. " Trev is hurt, where's the first aid kit?"
" Under the bathroom sink. What happened?"
"No time" Ashley replied, running inside. She reappeared on the step a moment later with the kit. Trev needs this right away."
Eric realized Jason had rolled up next to him. " Here's your chance to put that speed to good use." He suggested.

Alice continues to put pressure on Trevor's shoulder in an attempt to stop the bleeding. "Not fighting her is one thing," she scolds Trevor "but just standing there was just bloody stupid. You could have ducked or moved out of the way." Alice shakes her head "I'm begining to think that the lot of you need professional help. Why did you just stand there? Why are you trying to get yourself killed?"

*the eyes open as Ty's voice gets stronger and he bends over to lend a hand* 'i'm sorry .. it... i .. i don't know what's happening .. last time .. .. ' *getting help to stand, and then shudders a little more*
'it took .. jackie died .. i .. i don't .. i hid for a month before i could control it .. ' *sad and helpless half chuckle as the fear filled eyes met Ty's again* 'i .. i just don't wanna hurt anyone again .. jackie was the best friend .. and i killed him. i didn't mean too .. i threw .. he caught .. dead .. ' *then seeing the lights start up again, across the hand 'oh god .. stay away .. i don't wanna hurt you'

Eric nods to Jason and runs into the house to get the First Aid kit from Ashley. "I'll bring it to them..... and don't worry he'll be fine." With that Eric heads outside and to the ravine. When he gets there he hands the kit to Alice and watches he apply the bandages.

Alice smiles at Eric and says "Thanks" as he hands her the first aid kit. Taking out a pair of scissors, she says to Trevor "I hope this wasn't your favourite shirt." as she cuts off the sleeve of his shirt in order to put bandages on his shoulder. Getting out a few bandages, she starts to apply them to the gashes in the hopes of slowing down the bleeding. Alice then takes the medical tape out and secures the bandages.
Once she is satisfied that the bandages won't fall off in the next few minutes, Alice asks Eric, "We have to get Trevor back to the house. Can you take one side and I'll take the other. I don't think I can do it by myself."

*thinks to herself as the eyes fill with unshed tears* ...o0( jackie .. i miss you so much. i haven't thought of you in so long, i almost forgot about what happened. poor little puppy. you just wanted a friend like me. )
*then realizes something Ty said* 'can't return the skates. sale and they've been used now. no refunds, the wheels are well used' *then looks at him again as a sad smile crosses the lips*
*the image of jackie's death play in the mind like a broken record. 'i'm ready to go now. deep breaths. i can handle this, just like before. no one helped me then, but i learned to control it. this time it feels different. how hard can it really be?'

Ty walks in close, seemingly unafraid of her ability manifesting itself, and he clamped a comforting arm around Maria's shoulder. " don't worry, we'll get you through this. If anyone gives you any flack, ask Jason what happened to his mom's station wagon when he was trying to learn how to control his aim." He led her back to the truck and opened her door.
" How can you be so callous?" Ashley asked , staring at Will. " I could have killed him, and you're like oh well, we'll try something else later."
" I can walk myself." Trevor said defiantly as he started to get himself up . He staggered slightly, but he quickly caught himself and started to walk slowly towards the lodge. " Are you two coming, or are you going to stay here and play?"

William continues walking as Ashley came to him. He looks rather calm, given his outburst earlier. In a fairly soft voice, he answers "There's no reason to help anyone who refuses to help themselves. To do otherwise only reinforces their status as a victim, even legtimizing it." And he continues on to the cottage.

Alice shrugs at Eric as Trevor starts to get up. "Fine," she replies "just trying to help." In her head, she thinks 'wanker'She watches Trevor almost fall and has to stop herself from trying to help him, as he obviously didn't sem to want any help. "You go on ahead," she answers as she starts to pick up the fallen pieces of tape and bandages. "I have to clean up here." She glances at Eric and softly nudges him to follow Trevor to make sure he didn't faint on his way back to the house.

*gets helped into the vehicle and sits there quietly as they get underway before saying anything. 'ty? .. why you bein nice? .. how come you ain't running scared of me just now? .. others did after .. .. ' *stops and shudders with a single quiet sob before muttering to the floor 'before .. jackie .. his head .. it ... he ..i remember him barking .. happy and moving about on three legs .. then nothing after the stick blew up ..'
'i .. i killed .. my only friend .. i .. i .. ' *whispering the last part, then goes silent as the tears fall quietly with no sound. guilt still eating her alive, and still caught up in the last moments of the stray's last moments of life and death.

Eric nods to Al and walks over to Tevor and starts to ask him some questions. "So what was "the Great Will" trying to teach you over here? How to attack eachother? Or just how to make a poor girl like Ashley cry? But seriously what were you all doing? My "testing" seems a lot easier. they just shoot paintballs at me and I run away." Eric looks to his now bandaged body. "Atleast mine didn't have any painful side-effects." Eric trys to keep the conversation up till they reach the house.

Tyler glanced over at Maria. " Do I need a reason? It's like this. You got pulled into this mess by mistake. The same people causing trouble for us are responsible, so it makes sense for us to stick together. Plus, we've sort of got something in common. " He held his hand out the window as they came to a stop sign, and an arc of electricity shot from his hand to erupt against the back of a sign, causing pedestrians to jump. He grinned as he passed threw the intersection.
They're not all that bad, and they're alot better than the alternative Mikey's voice popped into Alice's head as the others were almost out of sight. He stepped down from the rock hewas standing on and walked closer. The Brethren are alot worse. So what happened, Eric almost ran me over
Trevor grimaced as he moved the wrong way. " He wanted me and Ash to spar, but I wouldn't and I thought Ash could catch herself. I guessed wrong. So now he's pissed at me, she's probly pissed at both me and him, and Ty's gonna blow a gasket before he patches me up." He winced again. " Don't sell Jason short, he's only sizing you up."
" You arrogant jerk!" Ashley snapped at Will. " I could have killed him and you don't care." She started to get upset, her eyes turning beastial and her voice started to growl as she continued. " All you care is that the ends justify the means. I bet you could care less if any of us came out of this." Her breathing began to be deep and rapid as the accusations continued. " Why even bother with us then? Maybe you're not even with us at all."
