" Then what were you doing sneaking around down that alleyway?" the larger of the two cops asked, taking ahold of Alice's elbow. He looked at his partner, and motioned down the alley she'd come out of." go check it out, I got her." The smaller cop drew his sidearm with a nod and started down the alley as the bigger cop smirked at Alice. " Aiding a dangerous offender like Firefight could get you in alot of trouble, missy."

Alice starts to feel uneasy. She tell the cop "I don't know what you're talking about. I wasn't sneaking around. I was taking a shortcut on my way to my apartment. Furthermore, I don't know anybody named 'Firefight', much less aid them in any way. Now I'll thank you to let go of me so I can continue on my way." Alice then tries to get her arm away from the cop.

" Sure you were." The cop replied with a nonbeleiving tone. He shouted to his partner. " find anything?"
" Nope, there's noth... wait. " he replied, bending down for a moment before reappearing with a piece of Jason's suit. " He went this way alright. We better take her downtown. Maybe she can lead us to his hideout."
The big cop nodded, his grip tightening. " You heard the man, mutie lover, you're going with us." He started to push her forcefully back the way the cops had come.

At this point, Alice starts to get angry. "I've done nothing wrong," she tells the cop her voice starting to increase in volume. As the cop pushes her, she pretends to stumble, dropping her purse. The cop shoves her harder, causing her to fall. "Get up!" the cop orders angrily. Alice grabs her purse, and starts to get up, sitting in a crouch. "Did you hear me?" the cop yells at her "I said get up!" The cop reaches for her, but Alice's instincts have kicked in and she starts running as fast as she can down the alleyway to try to get away from them.

The two cops give chase as she runs. She rounds a corner, thinking she's in the clear and runs smack into the waiting arms of another policeman. " Going somewheres?" He asked, latching on.

Alice really starts to panic now, trying to get away from the police officer. She yells at him "Let me go! I haven't done anything wrong!" As she tries to get away from the officer, she feels her control start to slip, which panics her even more. She shuts her eyes tightly, whimpering "No, no, no! This can't be happening again! No!"

" Again? So your used to being in trouble with the law. Always helps when the perp helps you out." The cop replied, his grip tightening to prevent an escape. " anything else you'd like to confess to? Hey," he smug tone lightened, as did his grip," how'd you do that with your eyes?"

Alices sighs. 'If he said that' she thinks 'then there's no point in keeping my eyes closed anymore.' Opening her eyes to reveal that they are now bright red and glowing fiercly, Alice smirks "You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you the truth, officer. But for the moment, I really must insist that you LET ME GO." To puncuate this, she shoves the officer, hoping to get him to let go of her.

The officer does let go, and stumbles backwards. But as he does so, a look of panic filled his eyes and he fought to draw his sidearm. " You're one of those freaks!" he shouted as the gun began to rise.

Alice gets angry when the cop shouts at her. She yells "Don't call me that! I'm not a freak! I'M NOT!!" She walks towards the cop slowly, feeling that familiar pressure building up in her gut. She shoves the energy at the cop yelling "I am not a freak!"

As the cop is knocked away against the alley wall, Alice can here the other two cops approaching.
"Did you see that?" One asked.
" Uh huh. Get her." The other replied.
As she turns her attention to their approach, she realizes that she'd never have time to stop them both from firing their drawn weapons. Before she can react, a bolt of energy passes near enough past her that she can feel it, and slams into the pair of policeman and knocks them flat. " C'mon, time to go before any more show up." Jason's voice calls from behind her and he steps out of a shadow he should not have been able to hide in and leaned back against the wall to steady the wobble of his legs.

Alice jumps in shock at the energy hitting the cops. Turning around at the now familiar voice, she sees Jason and "You!" Alice grits in anger. Walking up to him, she tells him "This is all your fault! You help a guy up and what happens?" She gestures to the fallen cops angrily, "the cops arrest you!" Realizing that her eyes are still glowing, she turns her back to Jason and does her best to get her emotions back under control. The result is mixed- the glowing stops, but her eyes are a brown-red. Realizing that this is a good as it's going to get for the moment, she opens her eyes again.
Glancing down at the fallen cops, she finally realizes that this time she can't just go home as if nothing happened. Her life, as she knew it, was over. Sighing quietly, she turns to Jason, asking quietly in a defeated voice "Where are we going?"

" They'll be fine in a little while, and they won't arrest me, " Jason replied, pointing at the results of his previous encounter with the police as he steadied himself by leaning against the wall, " they already proved that." He grinned as he looked at her eyes. " Nice look, kinda reminds me of a kid I know, but he just hides his with contacts."
" Hey, don't sound so glum," JAson added, recognizing her tone. " There's no way any of them will be able to give a good desription of you and you can go back to you regular life in a couple of days."
He pushed off them wall to start walking and nearly teetered over. " But you're gonna have to help me home before this thing craps out and I have to drag myself away." He held his arm out to Alice for her to take it.

Alice gives Jason a disbelieving look, but doesn't say anything as she grabs her purse and makes sure that everything is in order and slings it over her shoulder.
Resisting the urge to shove Jason over and leave him as a present for when the cops woke up, she takes the offered arm. Glancing one more time at the cops, she looks at Jason and asks "Where to?"
