[Sparks]
From her position, Sparks can definitely recognize the fairly regular reporter from newscasts. She glances over her shoulder , motioning to her cameraman as Silverfire touches down in the background. She turns back to the camera and begins another update, but looking past the camera, almost as if staring at Sparks with her cheery camera smile. After a few moments though, the smile was replaced by a much grimmer look as she spun to stare into the park. She composed herself and turned back to the camera, never missing a beat.

The area around Khris' fallen body has been quardened off for the crime scene investigation team, and a now blood soaked sheet covered his body. Other than a few officers keeping watch from a distance, the area has been cleared and most of the police are forcing back the crowds of rubberneckers or drawn away to something else, presumably the apartment building.
Just as his feet touch the ground, an officer hollers in the distance to get away from the crime scene. At almost the same time, there is a slight stirring of the bloodied sheet, acompanied by a faint grunt.

*looks to see if anything blurry is moving the sheet, and grunting, ignoring the cop. Then looks to see if it is the person under the sheet moving the sheet.*

*then backs up further away from the alley entrance, and rolls away, quiet in the shadows and then hides further down the alley to watch for a bit for the blurry one .. before heading off to her place

Sure enough, something blurry is moving the sheet from beneath it as Khris begins to crawl away from beneath the sheet covering him. His voice strained and cracked his spoke lowly from his creep, barely noticable at his slow speed. " I should have known you'd be handy. I've got to work on my timing."
He stopped, and the blur turned , betraying his turning to look up. " I guess this was all too much for your partner. She just bailed on ... Ah bollux, Mara's leaving too. I think she's following the kid."

The alleyways are clear and empty as all the locals are busy gawking at the park, allowing her to make pretty good time. Or so it seemed until she rounded another corner and nearly bowled over a couple of hispanic guys roughly her age. The largest of the quartet looked at Sparks as he stood from his seat on the hood of a decked out classic convertible. " What do we have here? "
Another one got out of the passenger seat of the car. " What's your hurry, Chika? Why don't you hang with us for a while."
The other two exchanged a nasty look before turning back to Sparks.

*glances at the 4 from under the brim of her cap .. and thinks fast 'just trying to get away from the cops .. cop got killed and they're taggin anyone for the colar .. didn't want it to be me ..
*judges how much space she has between the wall and the car and then slowly starts to back up on the blades
''and as for me? .. i think something is following me .. something or someone .. it killed a friend of mine ...o0( is Khris really a friend of mine? ) 'and i didn't wanna be next .. so if you couild stop whatever is coming .. ? ... *gives a shy smile as the eyes narrow with the now developing danger in front of her

" Sure, we can look out for you, chika." One of them motioned towards the car's open door that nearly blocks the alleyway. " Get in, I know a good place we can take you to hide you." The all seem to snicker and look at each other as two of them circle around to avoid her escape route back the way she'd come.

Though camoflagued behind his namesake" shroud", Khris' slow pace still left a bloodtrail as tried to crawl off. Through obviously gritted teeth, he replied without stopping. " Past the the news trucks, but their both out of range now. Go, find the kid before Mara does. She's up to something, she's never missed an easy kill like that." He groaned as he kept moving at a snail's pace, crawling back towards the center of the park.

*slowly turns as the 2 go to behind her and then looks back at the two near the car 'im serious .. something bad's coming ..
*slips a hand into her marble pouch and pulls out a couple .. just in case .. then moves towards the front of the car, with a long searching look back along the alley

*Silverfire worldlessly zips up, and flies over the newsvans into the ally, not pausing to pay attention to the new crews. Oh for the days when this kind of stuff was still censored. He thinks to himself. Eventually, he comes up behind the kids blocking Sparks, and touches down gently, more looking for Mara than concerned for the kids.*

The two facing Sparks eyes grow wide with disbelief at Silverfire's arrival, spurring the other two to turn and face him. One starts to go for something under his shirt, but is called off by the tallest of the quartet, the obvious leader. " Don't do it man, just get in the car." He turns to Sparks as the others get into the converible. " No harm done, chika. Maybe next time."
The throaty rumble of the engine coming to life echoed off the walls and backed away leaving the pair alone in the alley until the returning quiet is broken by an accented voice Sparks recognizes. " Isn't that sweet, the hero chooses his sidekick over everyone else. Turns my stomach."

*Silverfire glances over his shoulder as the other punks drive away.* "Well, I know that the young Miss has her priorities, but she just couldn't leave me behind." *Turns to Maria* "But, I'm sorry, we're not doing any interviews right now. We're busy looking for an incomeptent spy who has delusions of grandeur." *During all of this, Silverfire's checking if it'ld be safe to get all firey, or if he'll do more damage than he already has.*

*the slope of the alley allows sparks to move behind Silverfire and gets her slingshot ready with a click thats barely heard and then charges one of the marbles up and gets ready to fire .. and uses her street sense to figure out just where the woman is exactly
[rolling - 54/20 -oh man .. i really suxors at that it seems ..]
*not knowing exactly where she is .. cancels the charge, and sucks and rolls backwards and fires it blindly, trying to peg her with the regular marble
[rolling strike - 17+1 strike -=- 1 point of damage]

" I could care less about interviews right now, Mr. Black." The voice replied from her hidden place. "I.." she started again, but was distracted by the smack of the marble impacting the brick wall of one of the buildings, " now, now, no need for this to get violent. I only wanted to say goodbye and thank you before I left. Thanks to the pair of you, my job is done.
