Issue 14: The Mistresses of Evil

Tally in frustration from remembering that turns around, stomps all the way to the window opening it and turning and stomping the other way. Especially seeing she is too angry to look X'eeee in the eye.

"Tally wait for a second" X-23 is a little worried what her friend has gone through she is acting strangely " Sometimes my work takes me away but I am back now and trying to figure out what you are doing in this place"

Tally spins on her feet turning to X23 to look clear in her face. "NO!!! YOU ABANDONED ME! JUST LIKE MY MOTHER AND FATHER. I HAD TO HEAR IT FROM TABITHA THAT YOU LEFT WITHOUT TELLING ME." Now that you see her face you can tell she is massively and very visibly upset.

"Your Parents?" X-23 look quite confused "I Found you wondering down a road naked, what is this about your parents?" maybe taking side jobs and leaving this girl alone was not the best ideas.

"That still does not explain why you left! No word. Obviously I was too much trouble for you." Realizing there is nowhere she can go save her room she decides to head there so she can take a time out and calm down. But realizing that may seem like she is a spoiled she stops herself and waits to see if there is an explanation.

"It is not like that Tally" 23 tries to find away to explain that sometime its just safer for her not to be around others, that people hunter her like an animal and that people she cares about die when around her. “And it is not like I forgot about you I did come back once I found out your location.” As soon as the words left her mouth she new it was the wrong thing to say turning it back on Tally and making it sound like it was her fault.
The old man could say something anytime and stop me from putting my bladed foot in my mouth.

X23 slumps feeling kind of bad about what she just said.

X23 is correct with how she interprets what she said, but instead of running off, her eyes just well up with more and more tears. She had learned from her last adventure that running only causes problems and that she has to stand sometimes. As such she tries her best to dry her eyes and not move, even though the sniffling is still evident.

X 23 slips through the window and walks slowly towards Tally

“Look I did not mean for that to come out the way it did” X23 lets out a long breath, debating what to say next,

The professor always told her the truth is the easiest way to go.

“I” she pauses and then starts again “I had to go away just for a little, but if I have to do so again I will tell you myself when I am leaving and when I think I will return”

Not that I always know how long I will be gone.

X 23 stops 2 feet away from Tally taking note that the girl did not run, showing Tally has grownup in the time that she has been away.

“But I do think your have learned a lot and grown up quite a bit in my absence”

Snorts, snapping out of an uncharacteristically deep nap, blinks, seeing Tabitha and X-23, lets out a snort, a sigh, and gets up, heading to the kitchen muttering about a cold one to deal with this.

DD smiles behind the dark sunglasses, "I would love to join you for some coffee. Actually, I could go for one right now if your not busy."

"Well I see my Father is being his normal charming self" X23 looks daggers in Logan's direction
"Hey OLD MAN want to grab me a beer if your going that way" She raises her voice but not to a yell Logan;s hearing is more then good enough for that.

Says loudly from the kitchen, "Sure you don't want something more lady-like? We have the fixings for martinis."

"I am your child father I will have a beer as long as its Canadian" x23 cannot believe he offered her a martini "Well at least he did say I could only have chocolate milk" she grumbles to her self

Songbird glances at Hawkeye, a little puzzled, then back at Vision," Ohhkay, but I'm pretty sure you were with." Her tone makes it clear it isn't a topic she particularly wants to talk about and looks releived as she replied to Cap. " Right away." and she headed towards the War Room.

"If you want to join a conversation, that's fine, Vision. But please keep your facts straight." Hawkeye replied, then turned to Cap," So, where are we off to?"

Just as Logan reached the fridge, Songbird stopped in the doorway. " Better hold off there Logan, Cap just asked me to call in the troops. Something's up and," she paused as if she didn't want to say anything," can you check with that sniffer of yours, I know Vision just got here, but he's acting... funny. Asking questions he already know the answers to."

Both X-23 and Tally can hear Logan talking to someone as the two try to reconnect. Dr Foster entered reading something, glancing up as he realized someone was in the room," Oh we have company?"

[Law Office of Nelson & Murdock]

Tabitha's smile beamed at Matt's reply even though she stammered slightly," R-really? Okay, that'd be great, but....., I really don't know my way around the city that well yet, so I guess you'll have to pick a place." She signed the release form and handed it to Foggy.

"Okay, it's all yours." He turned to Matt with a trace of envy in his voice," I guess I can lock up the office tonight."

Tabitha picked up the box curiously, then tucked it under her arm. " I think I'll open this later." She said with a little hesitation.

"You'll see shortly, Hawkeye. How about you get Aura and the rest? Vision and I need to co-ordinate some strategy. And make sure Wolverine knows too." Captain America waits for the Archer to leave.
