Alice nods at Jason and falls quiet, hoping Jason would be able to talk them out of a fight, though deep down she doubts they're that lucky.

" Now Herman, let's be reasonable here." Jason said cautiously. " Nobody wants to get hurt."
Von Streisslan laughed, " Are you serious? I don't want to hurt you, Mr. Dexter, I want to torture you until you die for all the greif you caused me. Come on out and play."
Jason loooked at Alice, "Call 911 and tell them exactly what is going on and who we are. I'll buy us some time until the police can get here if you can get the cabbie clear." It was clear Jason's personality was slipping into his old personna, the one he tried to keep hidden withthe rest of his past. To try to reassure her, Jason gave Alice a kiss," Don't worry, I'll be fine."
"You're running out of time, Dexter."

It's clear Alice is worried about the situation as she gets out her cell phone and calls 911. Whispering, Alice says to the operator who answers the phone, "Hello, my name is Alice Weatherby. My fiance and I were just in a car accident and there are men here who are threatening to hurt us. The cab driver is hurt, please sent police and an ambulance." The 911 operator said something peculiar," We are aware of the incident, Miss Weatherby, and help has already been dispatched. Can you tell me how badly the driver is hurt?"
Putting her fist aid to work, she found a pulse and the driver was breathing, but his forehead was cut from striking the steering wheel.
With the other ear, she could hear Von Stresslin baiting Jason, " come now, let's see how quick we reaaly are, Dexter." It was then that Alice noticed the traffic camera watching the intersection.

Seeing the traffic cam, Alice tells the operator, "The driver is breathing but his forehead got cut in the crash. I think he'll be ok though." Alice looks over at Jason, hoping he doesn't rise to this guys bait.

"Oh, I'm new and improved, Herman. "Jason scoffed, edging around the end of the wrecked taxi. " Let the driver and the other passenger leave and I'll come out so we can dance, Von Stresslin.
Jason's ego clearly was getting in the way, but Alice could tell that he was being baited. " what's wrong, Dexter, too slow to face me and save the girl?"

"What do mean, fall for it?" Jason came back to where Alice was, looking confused but sounding more like his reasonable self.
That was when Alice realized the traffic cam could see them, but the others would be hidden from view by the dump truck

Alice whispers "They are baiting you. I was afraid you would react rashly in the heat of the moment." Alice frowns and tells jason, "There's a traffic cam there. It can see us, but not the others." Whispering to the operator, Alice tells her, "There are 3 men here who crashed a truck into the cab we were in. They are hidden though behind the dump truck. The police need to be careful as they may get attacked when they arrive."

"Baiting me? How?" Jason asked, not really understanding. " Look, thirty seconds, I run over there, drop the three of them and I'm back. All they'd see is a blur.
The operator replied, " Thank you Ma'am, there should be police there in less than a minute."
In the distance Alice could hear a siren.

Alice sighs and whispers back to Jason, "I mean, they're trying to throw insults at you so that you'll react without thinking. For all you know they are heavily armed and waiting for you to emerge. The police will be here shortly and we can get away."

"Of course they're heavily armed, he was German mafia, but you know I can out..run.., Jason trailed off, looking at the camera, " that's what he wants, isn't it? For me to use my powers on camera?"
The sirens grew louder as the insults died out and Jason helped get the unconscious cabbie out safely

Alice nods at Jason as they get the cabbie out of the vehicle and whispers. "Yeah and that would cause another set of problems we don't need." Hearing the sirens, Alice hopes they get here quickly so they can make it to their flight in time.

The police and ambulances arrived quickly, and Alice and Jason were ushered aside for paramedics to check them out while the cabbie was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to the hospital. Not long after, Detective Craig stood over the two of them just as the paramedic finish cleaning up Jason's brow. " How are they?"
"Both of them are lucky, but this one should have stitches for the eyebrow, I'm sure the glue will hold it."
"It will be fine. The hospital will make me lose our flight." Jason retorted.
With a nod from Det. Craig, the medic shook his head and left. " I thought I asked you two to stay out of trouble. You sure buggered that, didn't you?"
