The next 24 hours of space travel had proven completely uneventful. Things even began to find a sort of normal: the four European restauranteurs had the galley going, making a fairly interesting set of meals... especially since they were running down to canned goods and protein bars.
As soon as the passengers found out what Foreman had done to save their lives, they insisted on a celebration for it. The hangover still hadn't dissipated.
Mrs. Johnson was more relaxed, with the ship being on the final stretch to Mars, and her husband now stable again.
The young stowaway, Alistair, finally got in touch with his parents, who will be waiting for him at the spaceport. They offered to compensate Tawfeek for keeping their son on the ship, which Tawfeek graciously accepted.
The Jolie kids had finally started to get out of control, constantly moving where allowed to so they can try and get what glimpses are glimpsable of their future home. They were also very exciting pumping Jessica for everything she knows about Mars and Foreman for everything he knows about how to fly a ship.
Jessica’s weapons shop was quietly moved over to one of the engine nacels and stowed, with the ammunitions in Tawfeek’s room. (he offered Jessica his couch, with much fanfare, since he didn’t have any other spare rooms for her, at the moment).
The areas most likely to be affected by the rentry were emptied and sealed off, and then vaccumed, to make sure as little damage as possible was done.
On the Bridge It being Foreman’s shift, he was on the quiet bridge on a quiet shift. Tawfeek was there, helping with the final entry route, clearing a special path with Mars flight control. He wasn’t having much luck, but was pressing for a more circuitous landing route. Something about him flying over an experimental garden kept them wary. Off in the distance, Foreman can see the large tell-tale white dots of an ice shipment. Mars was growing red circle dead ahead.
Generally, on the ship It’s a quiet, tense moment of waiting, where everyone is trying to remain calm, lest they jinx everything and something goes wrong at the last minute, like it has for most of the trip, so far.
In the Galley Anyone there, will see the Jolie kids had moved blankets and pillows into the galley, moving chairs aside so they can keep a vigil on their approach to the planet.

Post here!
Are you sure I should post right here?
Someone looking to get their character syphillus? Actually... hey! That's a great idea, thanks Daks!... *notes to give someone on the crew a contagious disease later on.*

Foreman sits in his chair rubbing his head. A cup of steaming coffee sat nearby. He groans as he tries to focus on the readouts. He thinks, 'I should not have drank so much.'
He ignores the captain's constant conversation with Mars flight control. He toggles comms and calls medical, "Hey Doctor, this is Flip on the bridge please respond," he says into the microphone.

Jessica sits in the kitchen, drinking a cup of coffee. Since she no longer had a room of her own anymore, she was feeling out of sorts. At least she hadn't lost all of her personal belongings or her weapons, which were now stored in Tawfeek's room. However, she does her best to keep a cheerful smile in front of the others, and answers all the questions the kids throw at her about Mars.

"Stop shouting in the intercomm." McKenna scolded as she keyed a comm, having been interupted looking for some painkillers. Her head was throbbing. She had to squint because the lights were hard on her eyes. she hadn't drank that much, but made the mistake of mixing her drinks with was never a good thing. " What can I do for you?"

Mengsk was looking over the ship to ensure all the information for incident was looked over. He triple checked results before presenting. Any sabotage was well concealed, and he wanted make the Computers on board secure as he could.

Foreman cringes when he realizes the doctor is probably in the same state he is in. "Hey Doctor, I am sorry to bother you," he says in a more whispered tone, "I know you are probably real busy prepping to dock, but I was wondering if you could find a moment and bring me some painkillers. My head is killing me, and this doesn't seem to be a typical landing."

McKenna sighed before responding, " Yeah, I can if I leave any. I need to stop for coffee, do you and the Captain want one on the way?"
As she remembered an old medical school trick, she grabbed an oxygen mask and turned it on long enough to take five deep breaths. The pure oxygen and it's miraculous effect of hangovers took hold and she felt better almost immediately

"Thanks but I already have one. The Captain sounds like he is doing just fine. See you in a few minutes I guess," he says before he toggles off comms.

In the galley “No. but I mean…” Eric began again. “Won’t the Earth get smaller if we keep taking stuff from it to other planets without replenishing it? Won’t the Earth eventually get so small it’ll be like Mars, and then Mars will get so big it’s like Earth and then things get all wobbly?”
Joan looked at her brother, perplexed that he would press this for so long. The young Alistair, eating something from the kitchen was looking back at Eric. “It’s relative volume.” He said. “The unreplaced amount is too small to worry about.”
“But it happens.” Eric says. “It’s like the one piece of garbage everyone drops.”
“It… uh…” Alistair looked at Jessica for support.
Any contemplation was interrupted by Tawfeek's voice. "Stephens, come to the bridge."
On the bridge Tawfeek thumped the controls. “They said we should just vulture down.” He grunts. “Vulture down when we’re crippled. The irony hurts it’s so funny.” Vulture down: Descend in wide lazy circles – a slower method, and not guaranteed to a) preserve the ship and b) get the ship assistance when quickly if it needs it. “We should probably considering opening the valves to the open area while on entry, the water will cool things a little and keep the rest of the honey comb from successive blow-outs.”
He didn’t look happy. Tapping the comm on, again, he says "Stephens, come to the bridge."
In Medical Mrs. Johnson looked at McKenna doing the hit of oxygen, a look of concern mixed with disapproval that she would get so drunk.
“I think things are stable.” She said. “I’ll keep watch.”
In Engineering We can safely let go of the idea that the ship was the victim of a malicious act. Otherwise, the system-by-system checks are proceeding normally with no new signs of errors.

"System reads as normal.." he sat in front of a monitor and was holding a hand held, looking between the both. The analysis was that he could tighten some areas of the the security protocol code. small areas mostly that were slaved to secure ones. Now was a time to hit the market. he loved shopping for components. the Black market was a haven for electronics and arms. He was more interested in the electronics and generally avoided weapons.
First they had to land so he monitored systems as they did land.

GM Note to Kurff: While the black market may (or does exist) and may have interesting things, I find it highly unlikely that Mensk would have some kind of connection with them, given that he was a research engineer at a large firm before starting with the Galaxy and not working in an occupation that would have provided such contacts (especially somewhere like Mars which was only recently settled and probably does not have a market, illicit or otherwise, for advanced ship components). Also, the regular market, this environment not being the CS, but something akin to what we face today, probably has a lot of useful, legally available components for the those that can afford them. Lastly, the boss, being Tawfeek, did not ask for new components or upgrades, and made quite clear that if Mensk did not want to spend his working hours on Mars physically verifying every system (not just by what the computer says), as opposed to modifying them, then he and Tawfeek will revist Mensk's employment on the ship.
Though, to be fair, with the above-mentioned consequences in mind, it's your PC, so you can continue on these actions if you so desire.

McKenna nodded to Mrs. Johnson," Okay. If you need anything, use the intercomm to call the bridge and they will find me and I'll be right back. Thanks," she smiled as she put the bottle of painkillers in her pocket before closing up the dispensery and leaving.
She passed through the galley long enough to get a cup of coffee, politely exchanging pleasantries with anyone there before heading on to the bridge. She hadn't been out of Medical since her patient's turn for the worse, so she was a bit out of the loop on ship's going ons.
She raised her mug to Jess," You look like you needs a couple days worth of sleep," she grinned, after waiting to speak after the kids quieted down.

Jess smiles tiredly at McKenna and says, "Yeah, I could use a few hours of sleep." Finishing her coffee, Jess says to the kids, "Well, you heard the Captain, kids. I have to go to the bridge now." Quickly washing her cup and putting it away, Jess asks McKenna, "Where are you headed?"

McKenna held up the jar of painkillers,"Same place as you. I think our pilot has a bit of a hangover." She grinned." Wasn't the only one. why don't you crash in my quarters? I've been sleeping in Medical in case Mr. Johnson take a turn anyways." she took another big drink off the black coffee, then dumped the little bit out before cleaning her cup.
she smirked at Jess," Of course, if you do you my room, that's how rumors get started you know," she winked.
