Chapter 61: Where do we start? (Team)

Deci senses that there definitely seems to be a fair bit of tension today at this meeting. This being her second or third is not entirely sure if this is a common occurrence at these meetings but hopes that it is not. On another side having nothing that pertains to anything important she decides to keep her fat mouth shut.

Robert looks up at Ryne from his plate. "That...would be me. I'm sorry. I'll fix it as soon as breakfast is done. Or this meeting. Or whatever it is."

*Sierra looks at Avi one last time, then looks away with a deep sigh and a shake of the head. she's clearly had enough of the dumb commentary.

'right, lets see. Arc is or was one of Wraith's goons. i kinda lucked out and got onto his good side. he stated he 'quit' Wraith's group or the group that works for the Mayor. Either way . . Wraith is a bad cookie that has plans and has been sanctioned to take Meta's off the streets for whatever reason. he takes them to some stronghold and who knows what happens then.

'the only reason i know this much is because i arranged for Arc's family to be moved and they'll stay mobile for a while longer until Alice and Isamu decide to sanction the protective custody or not. i went over their heads and got the family moved out fast and they've been gathered. Arc will contact me later, but for now, they're mobile and most likely will stay that way until i get in touch with who's giving them shelter.

'and to think, i never thought my contacts would be of help. yeah Ryne, the same Arc from the rooftop. just glad i got you away from them . . anything else? oh right, how did i know? . . lets see Kristian and I were at the Cityhall looking or watching for clues and he left in a huff and we followed and arranged a meet. thats about it . . .

Isamu slowly wakes. He raises slightly and watches Ashley sleep for a while. As her symbiotes begin to fidget he knows she will soon be awake herself. He leans down and kisses her on the head and whispers, "Ashley my love. It is time for us to rise. I can smell MacCoulter in the kitchen. He must have planned another meeting."

He gently rubs her shoulder occasionally squeezing it gently until she wakes.

[Mierin]

Alice starts packing her clothes for her upcoming trip with Jason back home. She is a bit nervous, figuring she should be honest with her family about her abilities. 'They should be ok with it' Alice thinks to herself, 'though I'm not sure if grandmother told them about her abilities.' Alice remembers what William said and thinks 'I hope he was wrong about how she would react' Alice then heads downstairs to meet up with the others and get some breakfast.

Jason watched Alice as he lay in bed still. The idea of the clones in the cells bothered him, but he wouldn't admit it. As she headed downstairs, he spoke up," I'll be down in a couple."



"Mmmm, " Ashley groaned, rolling around to face Isamu, a groggy smile creeping on her face as her Symibiotes settled. "Morning. Think we could get away with skipping it this morning, don't you?" she grinned as gave him a quick kiss," Oh right, it would be poor form for one of our team leaders to blow off a meeting." She giggled and started to get up.


As Alice entered(in time to overhear Sierra), Ryne was done loading up a plate that needed sideboards. He looked at Robert and smirked, " Just messin' with you, bud. No harm done."

Avi pipes up," So this Arc could be our ticket to taking down Wraith once and for all. Sounds like a good way to hurt the mayor's schemes if we take his goonsquad out of the picture."

Beth offered," I can do some digging. If they have a holding facility, then there must be a paper trail on it somewheres."

Mac scratched his chin," With Jane out of the picture for the time being, we could use some logistical help. Thank you Sierra. Anyone else have any suggestions?"

Beth glanced over at Tom, a pleased smirk on her face.

Tom returns the smirk.

[Dome]

Isamu smiles at her, "I wish we could. Unfortunately I doubt that would be possible," his face turning into a frown.

"Perhaps we can finish it quickly and just take some time for ourselves," he says as he still lays in bed and watches her as she gets up. His smile returns as he puts his feet on the floor sitting up, "I think we should start with a shower. To conserve resources I think it may be best to share one."

[Mierin]

Alice shakes her head as she overhears Sierra, "I have no problems with the deal you made with Arc." Alice then scoops some eggs onto a plate and puts some bacon on the side and pours herself a glass of tea and sits down. "When I spoke to Isamu about it, I didn't get the sense that he was opposed to the deal, but he can confirm that when he comes downstairs."

"Just like you thought we should stay close to conserve body heat last night?" Ashley grinned mischeviously. " Come on then, before someone comes looking for us." Leading the way, once the water was on, Ashley made it clear washing wasn't what she was concerned with.


Mac nodded to Alice, " Good, then I suggest we use this Arc as a means to get at Wraiths's team. Tom, can you get Beth situated in the war room later? Once we have contact from Arc, Sierra, you'll have to help take the lead while several of the others will have to provide security for a meet when it is set up." He looked at Alice,": Your flight leaves at noon, okay?"

Deci listens to the plan of attack and can only really add nodding having nothing really to contribute. She knows that she will probably wind up being one of the security people. With that she lets out a very soft sigh and continues listening in on the other plans that open up on the table. Well looks like we get to make trips home after all. Which is nice. Might mean I finally get to see my mother and fill her in with all that has happened. I should probably call her actually one of these days.

"Alright. Sounds good G-man." Tom throws off a salute.

[Dome]

Isamu makes sure that both he and Ashley enjoy their shower, before turning the water off. He climbs out of the shower taking the time to dry off himself and Ashley. He then dresses and waits for Ashley to be ready before leading them both down to breakfast.

As they finally got to the kitchen, Ashley couldn't hide the permanent smile on her face. With a " Morning", she took a generous portion and an empty seat.

Mac scowled," Please refrain from calling me that, Tom. And nice of you to join us, Isamu, Ashley. Isamu, please explain your connection with Mayor Siang so the others will understand. Also, I'll need someone to take Robert to collect his things." He looked right at Robert," That is if you intend to stay? Alice, Jason will be joining us at some point I assume?"

Ryne leaned close to Deci," There's your chance. someone has to go with Robert."

Tom smirks knowing he got under Mac's skin.
