Ch. 59 The Break In

[Mierin]

(December/Sierra)
As Sierra enters the basement, she finds December watching the prisoners. The prisoners aren't talking, but are just staring at December almost looking bored as if they're waiting in the waiting room to see their doctor, rather than in a holding cell waiting to be interrogated. As she heads downstairs, Sierra hears Alice calling to her, "I'll be down in a few minutes to help, Sierra."

(Tom)
Beth nods at Tom as she says, "Yeah, that's another possibility." Beth goes to grab her camera and finds a place to sit down. Looking up at Tom, she asks, "Did you want to look over the pictures with me?"

(Isamu)
Alice nods at Isamu and says, "OK. I just want to go over some paperwork with you and make sure you're ready for when Jason and I go to visit my folks."

(Robert)
Ryne nods at Robert and says "It is a nice place. I hear the last place they were staying at burned down." At Robert's request, Ryne says, "We should be able to find a place for you here. It's plenty big and it shouldn't be a problem to head back to your place so you can grab some of your stuff." Ryne pauses before asking, "Pets? What kind of pets do you have?"

[Dome]

Isamu squeezes Ashley in a hug, and then releases. Standing he nods at Alice, "shall we do it now?"

Tom wheels over, smiling. "Sure, if that's alright."

[sasqaricious]

Deci just continues to stare at the creatures allowing Sierra to comment first if she wishes, but otherwise sees what she can learn from visual cues. But after hearing interrogation, she whispers, "I am not being a part of that!" and turns to sneak out and back upstairs.

[HSummers]

"Just a black lab and a canary. Nothing too big. Thanks Ryne. I think this team thing might be a better plan than my solo vigilante career would have been." Robert continues to look around the base for anything of note.

[dakota]

Ryne smirked," solo careers tend to end in disaster, and they don't pay as well as this. we'll swing by your place tomorrow and pick up your friends and you can gather some things that fit. (Ryne's clothes are baggy on Robert) all right, let's find you an empty room." The bigger man said and started down the hall. He stopped at one that looked like an unkept dormroom and walked in. " Okay, Avi is a bit of a slob, but he's a good guy. He opened the side door after stepping over video game controllers and empty beer cans. Inside was identical to Ryne's, minus his personal belongings. " All yours, you just have to get your roomie to clean up."



Kristian caught Deci's arm as she tried to retreat. " Wait, it's not what you think. We just need to ask questions. Nothing else." He turned to Sierra as he let go," Right? Just questions?"

The four prisoners had not moved since being brought in.




Alice felt the air shift from something behind her before Jason slid his hands around her waist to kiss her neck." See, home without any incidence. Except the dent in Ryne's fender, but I can fix that at Tyler's."

Ashley shook her head as she released Isamu's hug. " come on speedy, we need to talk while the leadertypes have a powwow."

"We do?" Jason asked.

"Yes, we do." ashley replied. " So shut up and come on, you can maul her later."

"ohhkay." Jason mock sulked as he followed, to leave Isamu and Alice alone.



Beth plugged her camera into her laptop and the pictures uploaded quickly. most of them were from the fight cruise, many of them taken discreetly. " I guess maybe someone on board didn't like their picture taken." She replied to Tom as she went through the pictures one at a time.

(Tom needs a perc check)

"Some people are very self conscious I guess." Tom replies

"If it is questions then that is fine. There is never a problem with questions after all." Deci answers back, hoping what he says is true. She is prepared to act if it is not.

[Dome]

Finding him and Alice alone in the room, he arches an eyebrow at her and says, "is everything all right Alice?"

[HSummers]

"That sounds good Ryne. Thanks man." Robert looks around Avi's room with disgust. "I guess I'm gonna be doing some cleaning soon."

[Mierin]

Alice smiles at Jason and leans back into him. "I'm glad you're ok."

Alice nods at Isamu as she replies "Everything is fine. I just want to make sure you're up to speed for when Jason and I leave for London tomorrow." Indicating the paperwork Sierra gave her, she says "Sierra made a deal with Arc to keep his family safe if he helps. We should review that before I leave."

[Dome]

Isamu nods and says, "Ok, that sounds fine."

Isamu sits at the table but frowns for a moment. He looks up at Alice and says, "congratulations again Alice. I am very happy for you. I hope your family visit goes well," he says with a small smile. He then says in a sad voice, "I do not think Ashley and I will have a similar opportunity. I envy you and Jason in this."

[Mierin]

Alice looks over the paperwork Sierra gave her and says, "It looks like a deal that will help us, provided Arc is being sincere."

Smiling, Alice replies, "Thank you. It's.. a good thing and a scary thing, if that makes sense. I didn't really think I'd meet anyone here while I was in school." Hearing the sad voice, Alice tries to be encouraging as she says, "You don't know that. It could be possible." Alice pauses as she asks, "Or is there something I don't know?"

[Dome]

Isamu offers her a weak smile, "I understand completely and it does make sense." He pauses and then says, "I do not think there will be an opportunity for her family and I to meet. I would not be accepted and they will only make the situation more difficult for Ashley. As it is, I fear a relationship with me will be the end of the one she has with them," he says as his voice begins to quiver.

Turning his attention to the paper work obviously to change the subject he says, "we are offering him protection, what is offering us?"

'so .. how come you all look like ugly dogs that run wild in the back streets?'

*she treis to keep an ear out on their powers. and tries to see who's the first to react to that comment? she can't do much more than figure out who reacts first
