Spider-Man puts both bombs in a websack, swings to the top of the nearest building and when there is only 5 seconds left on the timer, throws the sack as hard and high up as he can.

A large boom echoes over the streets as you get the bombs clear. You have no time to catch your breath as you hear a PLOOP sound, turning to find Captain america sailing off the edge of a 7 story roof. Lacking your abilities, it appears Cap chose to dispose of his bomb by drowning it in a roof top pool, but the shockwave has sent him hurtling towards the street below.

Spider-Man webswings as fast as he can to intercept Cap before he hits the ground. "So...you come here often?" Underneath the mask, Cap can see the wiggle of eyebrows as they make their way to the ground floor.

Cap's expression is completely calm. "Good catch. Let's head back." You can feel an unusual tension in the man, something is unsettling him. He looks back to you. "You realize of course, that they'll have escaped by now."

"Well, they're bad guys. That's in the job description, right?" Putting the man down on the ground, Spider-Man asks quietly "Everything alright, mon Capitan?"

Spider-Man and Captain America return to find that the villains have indeed escaped. Wonder Man has leapt back to the studio and is helping to sort the rubble. Captain America moves towards him and to check and see if any other civilians were hurt.
However, your attention is drawn when you see a familiar figure in a nearby alley - it's MJ, still in her costume, her back against the wall and her hands pressed against her face, her fingers covering her eyes.

Spider-Man runs over to MJ and puts his hand on her shoulder. He quietly says to her "MJ, what's the matter babe?"

MJ simply shakes her head. "All of it. Job's done. No money. And I...oh god...I tease-flirted Captain frickin' America and probably cost you your Avengers membership." She sinks to the ground. "Go away. Dying of embarrassment now."

Spider-Man kneels down in front of MJ with his hands on her shoulders and says "Hey. Everything is going to be fine. I think you're the only one who could possibly make Cap blush like he did. Don't worry about the money. I'll go talk to Wonder Man over there and see if he can help straighten this all out."

Captain America gestures to Spider-Man as he's talking to Wonder Man. "And this is one of our newest members."
"Geez Cap, have standards gone down that much on this coast?" Wonder Man smirks. "Well, guess I owe you for handling this new Goliath at least." He extends his hand to Spider-Man.

Spider-Man cocks his head to the side. "Oh, it's Goliath's missing football I was looking for. Glad to see you're alright. You just let me know any time you need someone to save you, I'll be right there...Wonder Man." Spider-Man spits the last two words out with venom. He doesn't mind being talked down to by the public, he doesn't mind being talked down to by real heroes. But TV loser heroes? Not alright.

Wonder Man's eyes flare red for a moment before Cap puts a hand on his shoulder. "Simon, thank you for your help, but I think it's best you assist Damage Control in their efforts to clean this place up - and I think your insurance will be speaking to you as well. I've already given my statement to the police, and you should do the same." Simon locks with steely gaze. A few minutes ago, Steve was cringing while Simon was preening in the spotlight of the cameras, but here the position was clearly reversed. He backed away and began removing rubble.
Captain America guides you well out of earshot of the others, giving you a cautious look. "That woman in the alley who seems to be crying? I gather she's....special to you? I saw you two together earlier." he emphasizes the last word. "Perhaps I can help?"

Spider-Man hangs his head for a moment before coming back up. "Yeah, she's special to me. If you could maybe give her one of those famous pep talks you're so good at. I think she needs it. She really needed this job and I think that this whole to-do may have ruined it for her."
