Ch. 58 Here comes da Judge (Robert)

Seeing everyone else cut loose with their powers indicates to her to start using them as well. First off she creates some armour of ice while floating into the air before throwing a simple bold of cold. (Lower damage so not to kill any one but still with numbness)

Robert tries to dodge the brass knuckles, but manages to catch the blow all the same (Dodge: [dice=20+1]). He returns the favor with a right hook to the side of the mobster's head. (Strike: [dice=20] Damage: [dice=4] [dice=4+22]) He turns to the mutants he's pitching in with and asks "Who the hell are you?"[rand=658118306261122162880259415530030116058430795898954094595602185249]

Deci incapacitates her target with ease. None of the mobster's goons are able to get at her, so they turn their attention to the other three.

Robert felt the blow land [dice=6][dice=6+6], but other guy wasn't so lucky as he went down in a heap.

"Deci, get Avi out of here." Ryne suddenly took a commanding tone, " I'll catch up."

"You sure?" Avi asked.

"Unless they've got a tank hidden in the next room, yeah. Go." Ryne said.

Avi nodded," I got the directions, Deci."

Ryne looked at Robert as he backhanded another of the attackers out of the way between them. " Beleive it or not, we're actually government agents. why, looking for a job?" He smirked

Robert was spun around by someone behind him. He came to face Domichelli's bodyguard, his fist a spiked maul coming straight at him [dice=20+4][rand=6286782638717137774861481222528505203512779051818161032506260177]

Deci acts on Ryne's words, but not before she hits one more with the ice.

"Well, I am now. You guys just ruined my payday!" Robert tries to duck underneath the blow (Dodge: [dice=20+1]) but definitely gets the whole thing. "Oww...That damn hurt."

As Deci picked up Avi and flew out one of the doors Ryne had conviently used an attacker to smash, Avi gave her the directions, " I'm not a baby about flying like Ryne, but I'd prefer if you don't drop me, okay?"


Robert saw stars for a moment as the bodyguard struck [dice=6][dice=6+20]. The man grinned wickedly and was starting to wind up again when he was knocked aside by one of his companions sailing through the air. The big man called Ryne stood next to him, staring down the few remaining combatants, the few still vertical backing away. " Time to go. "I will not drop you. At least I hope not." She says with a grin although she imagines he can not see it. She does open up all speed to head towards the area that he indicated and follows his directions to the best of her ability.

"All right, I'm holding you to that. Otherwise I'll tell everyone how you were checking out that boxer back there." She couldn't see it, but Deci could hear the grin in Avi's voice.

Deci not having an actual rebuttal starts by saying, "You do that and I will," She pauses for a second as if thinking, "I will....OK I got nothing. But if you do that you will regret it." She then mumbles to herself knowing that Avi had won this round.

Holding his head after that last blow, Robert is still on the defensive when the giant bodyguard gets knocked over. "That sounds like a deal, my friend." Robert follows Ryne out of the building.

[dakota]

"We'll get you patched up soon enough." Ryne said as he led the way to where they had parked. " Just hace to...., crap, Deci still has the keys. Oh wait."

As he bent down to the side of the car, Robert could hear Nilo yelling at him from the doorway, where he stood pointing," You'll pay for this, I promise you. no one makes a fool of me."

"funny, I thought we just did." Ryne said as he stood up with a pair key holder. as he unlocked the door and got in and started the car. He offered a handshake as he peeled out of the lot once Robert was in," Name's Ryne Malloy by the way, though I 've been tagged Atlas for some reason."


All Avi could do was chuckle. Way in the distance they could see the energy trails made by Dmitri's flight powers " that must be them."

[Deci move to Ch.59 with rest of team]

Staring back out the window at Domichelli, Robert barely pays enough attention to respond. "Oh, um... Robert. Robert Mowglin. You can call me Judge. Thanks for the ride."

"Judge? As in Jury and Executioner?" Ryne asked as he drove on. " don't worry about Domichelli, I've made a fool of him plenty of times. Of course he doesn't know it though." As they drove, Robert knew they were heading into the suburbs. " Gotta make a side trip to see how the others are doing. Uh, should warn you, most of us are meta humans, or what you'd call freaks or mutants." ryne said it in a matter-of-factly manner that made it clear he wasn't offended. He was also driving like a maniac, clearing 70 on fairly busy streets.

"Heh, then I'll just have to work that much harder to earn my keep, won't I?" Robert sits coolly in the passenger seat through the crazy driving. "What the hell did I just get myself into..." "Do you have a spare shirt lying around? I left all my clothes back at the fight."

" Uh, yeah, we'll work something out. should be some sweats in a gym bag if you fold down the back seats. " ryne said as they took a corner hard enough to force Robert into the window. " Hold your breath when you open the bag."
