Issue 10: Tokyo Calling

Tabitha had fight the urge to immediately cross the Quinjet towards the newcomers. Instead she watched them intently, and could hold back only so long. she approached Logan and Daredevil, and immediately embrace Wolverine like a long lost friend. " Am I ever glad to see you." It suddenly dawned on her that this wasn't the Logan she knew, and she slinked back, blushing with embarrassment. " I'm sorry, Sir. You uh, it, ummm, it's really hard to explain."

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Speaking of explanations." Gambit says, looking over to his co-X-man. "What exactly are we going to go to Japan for?"

Stiffens a bit when hugged, which is immediately brushed aside when he inhales, then, from years of an X-Man's odd life, hugs Tabitha back with a smile. "No need to apologize. We have the entire flight for you to explain it." Nods to Gambit. "Short version, I've been asked to go and deal with The Hand, as they've been up to something outside of what's normal for the established clans to do."

[Renekin Skywalker]

"How outside normal, Logan?" Gambit asked. "I've nearly died trying to blow up a spaceship on the edge of time and space, helping a bunch of space cadets fight some evil space pope, and then been healed by a walking tree."* He sat back grinning. "You'll understand if the bar's been raised a little."

"The Hand? I've only heard the name. Where I come from they aren't exactly an immediate threat. Not one Storm and Silver Samurai deemed a threat." she asked. Silver Samurai, Sunfire, x-23 and Psylocke (her universes versions of all 4)were the core team of her team after the fall of Apocalypse. Storm felt a second team would help. With Exodus showing teleport abilities made him the main teams porter.

She was sent to and made part of the training team under Silver Samurai. not a move she liked but one that proved an education..

(Daredevil)

You detect that in addition to Logan, there are 6 other people - you recognize Hawkeye, and the one called Ghostsabre, as well as Blink and Gambit and Tally from yesterday's fight. The only one you don't recognize is Songbird, whom you recall as the former Master of Evil known as Screaming Mimi.

(Logan)

Ghostsabre seems to strongly resemble Kitty Pryde for some reason, and you get the strange yet familiar scent of Adamantium on the sabre in the scabard she's wearing. You also seem to recall a "Blink" as a young mutant girl who was killed by the Phalanx. The young blue girl smells distinctly Kree to you, and there's a sense of something else too....

(Tally)

Songbird points her thumb at Logan's exposition. "I guess we're doing that." She smiles. "So, yeah, Ninjas are evil warriors, and the Hand are supposed to have magic powers or something like that, so we're going to go stop whatever they're doing."

(ALL)

Hawkeye. "Alright, Strap in, I'm going to go Supersonic and Suborbital - we'll be landing in Tokyo in two hours - please enjoy the inflight movie options, which consist of...Yankee Doodle Dandy, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and To Kill a Mockingbird." Hawkeye shakes his head. "That's the last time Cap gets to program this thing."

"OK, so we are attacking Ninjas, who are evil warriors. Got it." She looks like she is trying to commit all of this to memory. She then hears Hawkeye, and looking at Melissa, "Oh goody. A movie. I think I will go watch it." And heads to watch the movie which she will enjoy immensley just on the fact it is a movie.

Embarrassed, Tabitha shirked back to her seat. " Umm, maybe later, sir." she replied in an attempt change the subject. " I've never heard of any of them, whichever is good I guess. " She replied to Hawkeye, trying to forget what she had just done.

[Dome]

DD grabs a seat after stowing his bag. He doesn't say anything as he sits down. He contemplates the events that got him on this quin jet. He also wonders why the letter to him asking for the fantastic four smelled like Jasmine and cherry blossoms.

It's sunset in Tokyo when the Quinjet touches down two hours later outside a private airfield near a large manufacturing sight.

"Gotta love Tony Stark - who else keeps private landing strips next to his factories?" Hawkeye chuckles as he lowers the boarding the ramp.

Hawkeye and Songbird help lead the others out.

"OK, now let's find who we need to find, kick the butts we need to kick, and get home for Letterman." Hawkeye slaps his hands together.

Daredevil and Wolverine both catch a scent on the wind (roll to recognize)

[rolls 1d100 and gets 53, 86,74,41; Identify specific odors passed, chemicals/toxins failed, by scent for a person failed, track by scent passed] Wolverine passes the trip in reflection over his past, and once catching the scent, looks about, head tilted back some.

Tally hops off of the plane and stays in the air a bit. She looks at Hawkeye confused by what he said and gives an eye to Melissa as if posing a question.

[Dome]

DD walks out of the plane and moves as if he is looking around, instead he is actually allowing his senses to map the area.

Tabitha followed the others off the Quinjet, still a little embarrassed by how she had reacted to seeing Wolverine. Instead, she foocused on Tally's enthusiam and smirked.

Wolverine, the scent you catch is all too familiar - it's the poison the Hand tips their arrows with.

Daredevil, you catch a different scent, one that you wish to deny until you hear her voice, low as a whisper, yet clear as day to you.

"You should not have come to Japan, Matthew. I am sorry for your friends."

You can hear the drawstrings being pulled on their bows.
