Richardson stays quiet. He looks all around behind them keeping an eye out for any movements. His Rail at the ready. He doesn't expect anyone coming behind, but he still keeps watch while the animals are on the prowl ahead of them. He wonders how the doctor is holding up but now isn't the time to ask. Not much for her to do at the moment anyway.

Either a nap or a trap. Socrates thought to himself, the sounds of the storm starting to get naturally filtered by his subconcious. The longer they waited, to more likely they would rust. Or a tree would fall, in which case no hut would make a difference. Is the hut even worth this effort? He pondered. If it was a supie gearing up, he and the cats would have sensed it. If it was a mortal - even a D-bee - no way they're be outside.
"Is it worth it?" Socrates said into his radio. Waiting to see what Tori did in response.

Nearly invisible from her hiding place, and with her cammo, Tori decided to use the radio. "Ay-firmative. We may find an ally to help guide, a neutral with intel to share or a hostile to interrogate. I recommend the soft approach with hard backup."

Sam answers softly on the radio, indicating she agrees with Tori's recommendation. "Agreed." Sam then adds "Let's move quickly and quietly, people."

"Watch your backs or circle the flank?" Came Shepherd's voice over the comm. He was no wheres to be seen in the darkness of the storm.

*Sam replies to Shep over the comm* "Watch our backs and be ready to move."

" Copy that, boss lady. Drop the Doc to me and happy hunting" Shep replied.

Socrates started making his way towards the house, his eyes, and psychic senses becoming more alert in the storm. Let's hope this is the contact's house. He thinks to himself. Or that we have the presence of mind to not completely destroy the door on our way in.

Tori gestured for Janxi to follow her in. The big cat could pound a door if needed, while the smaller one could defend her, enter quickly and sweep the corners. She gestured for Soc to cover her approach and moved in slowly, rifle at the ready. She scanned all around for trouble- traps, mines, hidden dangers- whatever. She stood ready, flush against the house on the handle side of the door, waiting for the rest of the team to line up for an entry.
She watched Six approach, and made a knocking gesture as she listened for signs of life inside.

As Tori approached slowly, she failed to notice one of the oldest tricks in the book as her foot caught a piece of fishing line that rattled a cowbell hung under a bush.
From inside the structure, a hound barked a couple times, defensively.

"Shit," hissed Tori. She backed off the tripwire and pointed to it, before she leaped over it and the remaining ground between her and the house. She readied her weapon, standing beside the door, ready for an armed response. She gestured for Janxi to follow up and cover the other side of the door. Even in armor, one could see she had taken a defensive posture and held herself higher, to look more intimidating. She waited with weight on her heels as if to pounce. It was one thing to have a dog on the team, but the hound inside could be on two legs or four. She wished Socrates was closer to use his sniffer. Instead, her ears perked, seeking sounds like radar. She could hear something, but couldn't tell what it was. She used her nose to see if she could determine if anything supernatural stayed within.
Inside, Tori berated herself for missing the alarm, but it could not be undone now. She used her rifle-butt and gently rapped on the door. "It's Team Shagcat," not a lie. "Can ya help us? It's rainin' cats and dogs out here, and we'll trade for information." She stepped back slightly to not give the occupant an easy target, giggling at her pun softly.

Oh! A friend! Socrates though to himself, as he heard the bark and his animal instincts kicked in. I wonder if he'll play with me? He added, smirking under his helmet.
To put them off Tori's scent, Socrate circled towards the back of the house. Opening his helmet, he barked a greeting call over the storm.
He's also come around to the back to make sure no-one snuck out a window.

The big cat snickered almost silently at Tori's blunder. She felt okay, because a professional would have rigged a bomb and have
Jan bounded over the alarm and leaped to Tori's side. She took her place on the other side of the door and slung her rifle. Wicked vibro-claws sprouted from her wrist, as she readied her FWS. The weapon was nasty up close. She could punch as hard as she could shoot the thing, and it was more versatile in close quarters than a rifle.
She stood across the door from Tori, sissing lightly still about the tripwire, then about Tori's knock. Then, she passed the little cat a 1 gesture, indicating she would enter and clear the door, if engaged.

A voice came from inside the cabin," You all get out of here. Storm or not, I'll blast yer ass you try to get in this door. Go on back to your own damned village, whatever you call yerselves. I ain't got nothing to trade and I ain't in the the mood for company the way it's blowing.
The dog inside woofed out a challenge to see who or what was outside. Even over the wind, the cats could hear the hound sniffing heavily at the base of the door, trying to get their scent.
Autumn felt a hand on her shoulder. Shep spoke, " Doc, you hang back with me until we know whats going on, okay?"
Sam, Richardson, Nothing else seems to be moving except the team approaching the cabin.

Socrates continued barking, lonely, over the wind, getting close to the house the way a lowly dog would. Like it or not, company is upon you, kind sir. He thinks, crouching lower, and readying his rifle.
