"More time to information would help for another reason. Shingu and I could recharge our magic. It takes some willpower to cast. A few more hours could help find out more about the invaders' strength, weakness and composition." She looked thoughtful and sighed.
"But with the enemy's mobility, he could be a-thousand kilometers away before we are ready. We will join your attack. What are your instructions, Lt. Fegh?" She didn't seem to even notice the snub over the dinner, and was ready to fight.

Shingu listens to Janxi's reasoning. He found it sound, along with Balus's justifications.
"Ryoukai," he said, which seemed to be the equivalent of "Roger" in English. "Ariawase. I amma ready, but how will we gettu from the ga-round to the sky where the enemy is?"

" We all can't get up there." Balus said, hating what he was about to say. " Krystal, you're the only one who can get up there, so either you're gonna have to go and invite him to play or take me up so I can do it. Unless you think you can rig that laser really quick?"

"You have no UFO? No jettupack? No hericopter?" Shingu looked a little surprised. He was accustomed to walking in the Empire. In a world of UFO's and space aliens, he figured everyone would own anti-gravity sliders, a rocket in every garage and soylent green in every pot. As fantastic the technology in the Republic of Japan, it was nothing like this world's because no Japanese space ship entered or left orbit since before the rifts.
"Maybe with suruface to air misser, you can shoot him down." Shingu gazed at the man in the air and tried to figure him out. He sighed, realizing he would likely miss the fight if it would be in the sky. He sat in a corner, crossed his legs, held his palms in the air and began to meditate. If needed, he could call upon more spells and greater chi for his martial arts.

"Well if there is no room for us on the train, perhaps we should rest. I think you were right the first time, Balus. It doesn't seem likely Ms. Krystal will entice him down to the ground where he can be set upon by all of us. Maybe you can persuade him."
She reached into her ruck sack and produced one of the rice balls she got from Shingu earlier, and found the most comfortable place to relax and eat. Rest, maybe a nap would get her energy back as quickly as possible. Like Shingu, she studied the burning man, to see what brand of magic he used.
"If you need us, or can think of a way to get us up there, count us in. But I'm going to recharge, like Shingu-kun." As she ate, she stretched out and rested, waiting for a plan or an idea for something to do.

Krystal is sure that she can probably not lift Balus in an atmosphere very easily or manoeuvrability . "How about I go get him to play and then the rest of the time work on that laser idea. We will prolly need intel more then we need our weapon. So I am good with whatever is decided."

The Captain nods. "Alright Engineer, you're up. Corporal, with me, you're going to be our first line of defense. Lieutenant, ready your fireteam."

Shingu seemed not to hear, focused on his meditation. He sat silently, legs crossed, palms upturned and eyes barely blinking. His breathing could lull a baby to sleep. He felt his state of calm restoring his strength, but took no action to the outside events.

Krystal still having her personal FF up decides to start the ascent up to the person. She heads up as quickly as she can and once up, hovers on par with the individual to study him. That is unless he strikes first, in which case she will dodge until she gets up there.

"Gunchou? We can sit and recharge, or you may give us an order." Reika said with nearly a sigh. "Your flying girl is taunting the enemy reader, I mean leader. So what can we do to help? I'm not going to let Balus and his kawaii do all the fighting!"
The tall woman sat back, and finished her rice-ball. She chased it down with some water from her canteen. "Are you going to let your only two fight, or have you a plan for the restofus??"

Fegh turns towards the human his tail swishing behind him. He says, "can you both attack from range? Or are you better close range fighters?"

Fegh's fireteam - all biofreaks:
Private Genda - Crystalized humanoid who can also project light from her fingers. Private Wayl - An armored giant who can only speak with a sonic boom that he projects whenever he opens his gigantic maw. He communicates by "Speaking" through the radio commlinks or displaying his messages in code on his armored crest with a holographic light. He wears the crest of an Epoch Rider. Private Botu - Another Epoch rider, he's blue skinned and bald. He can turn invisible change his arms into a variety of weapons, including projectile shooters.
Krystal flies towards the figure - she can feel the heat even from hundreds of feet of away. The humanoid fire is red-yellow and burns like the plasma of the ship's power core, the air all around him giving the faint tinge of ozone.

Krystal debates if dropping her shield would be a good idea, then realizes that the heat and fire may not hurt her, nor any radiation, but her clothes are another matter. And decides to fly all the way up.
(If it does do damage to her field she will drop it, clothes be damned. She will just be embarrassed at a later moment.)
"Excuse me sir. Can I talk with you?"

"Yes Captain." Balus replied , but his attention was firmly planted on Krystal and the other being.

Shingu continued his meditation, seemingly oblivious to the world around him. He did not chant, but seemed focused on the wooden sword in his lap. He was conscious, but clearly in an altered state. It might unnerve some unused to Eastern mysticism and spirituality.
