Sarah an Coop, as you shadow meld, you notice the world take on a different look. Safe zones and unsafe zones, reality a haze beyond the wall of darkness. What do you do?

Sarah looks around for the media and says in a quiet tone of voice, "Ok. We should get going. Are we headed back to the guild?" Assuming that is where they are headed, Sarah will head in that direction, taking care to stay in the shadows.

Coop did his best to contain his amazement he melded into the shadows. Coop stayed close behind Sarah, careful he didn't step into one of the unsafe areas. As his caution was starting to make him fall behind, he said lowly, " Hey, wait up. I'm new to this kind of stuff, remember?"

The reporter turns at the whispers and attempts at quiet shuffling, but mostly because the door slammed shut. "Hello?" He asks in the night. "I know you're out there." He says to the door. "I just have a few questions I want to ask."
Besides the night-time animals, the reporter and the sounds of the City and their heartbeats, Coop and Sarah don't hear a response (unless they choose to respond).

Sarah slows down at Coop's request and shakes her head at him, indicating that he should not respond to the reporter. She then moves cautiously and quietly, hoping the reporter would go away.

Coop winced when the reporter seemed to hear them. He mouthed Sorry to Sarah with an apolegetic look, doing his best to keep up to her without making any more noise than he had to.

As the two make their way away, they hear the reporter continue to taunt the air. "Come on. I know what's going on here. I know the truth. Botufa's not a Decree Slayer. The Guild's going to have to answer to it soon. Might as well start now and save yourselves the trouble."

Sarah rolls her eyes at the reporter and shakes her head at Coop silently, reminding him that he shouldn't let the reporter goad him into responding. She continues to move quietly, intent on leaving the reporter behind.

Coop was curious how the reporter knew it wasn't El, but decided it was better to ask him later and not blow their escape. He noded to Sarah, motioning for her not to worry and keep going. He wasn't much for talking to reporters anyways.

The pair eventually make their way to the guild, keeping to shadows for several blocks until the magic in the cloaks wore off. Arriving at the guild, they see the black-armoured men (I'm just gonna call'em Fayde  ) hefting the bagged demon into an examination room. When Coop and Sarah are signed into the main hall (now just a formality for the pair), they see Tobrias talking with one of the Fayde, though, with her helmet off, she doesn't look much like him. She looks like she could be Coop's younger sister (well, relatively tall, built), except for the all-green eyes and the solid, blue, messy-braided hair. She's quite cute, in an exotic rasta teenager kind of way. With a nod, Tobrias dismisses her and turns to Sarah and Coop. "I hear out little rouse about Eleutheroi has fallen victim to genealogists." |

Once they reach the Guild, Sarah sighs in relief at having gotten away without having to confront the reporter. Smiling at Coop, she says quietly "You did good out there." She glances at the Fayde, and resists the urge to smooth her hair down, feeling not quite as pretty. Sighing, she tries to keep her mind on the task they have ahead of them.
Blinking at Tobrias in surprise. "I'm guessing that's what the reporter was referring to when he said that they'd figured out that Eleutheroi wasn't the slayer." She reasures Tobrias "Don't worry, neither of us talked to him, he was trying to get us to reveal ourselves, but we didn't."

" Thanks, so did you." Coop replied. He could help himself from watching the Fayde walk away, but his attention focused when Tobrias addressed him. " He knew we were there somewheres. It's gonna get alot harder for us to keep up the charade much longer with the press knowing El's just taking the credit as a cover." He smirked. " Even though this time he did finish off the critter, after we softened it up for him."

Noticing Coop staring at the Fayde, Sarah looks a little sad, but covers it up as she waits for Tobrias to reply to what they've just told him.

"You have an interesting idea of 'softening up'." Eleutheroi says to Coop, slapping him on the back as he walked past into the examination room.
"The revelation was bound to occur." Tobrias says. "It'll be quite some time before they trace the lineage to you. When it was only a few families left, about 4 generations ago, the who system went into hiding." Waving to the examination room, he says, "I believe we have a more disturbing discovery?"

Sarah nods at Tobrias "Yeah, the demon was branded. It's not something you normally see. Why would someone want to brand their demon?" she asks him as they head into the examination room.
