Issue 7: Night at the Palace

DD stands and takes a moment to map out the new room. The continual jumping is harder on him than it would be for most. He tilts his head as he says to everyone, "it will only be moments before he is on us again. We should all spread out and as soon as he appears hit with all we can. Hopefully that help will arrive fast."

The images of the X-men, her X-men flooded before her. Iceman, Quicksilver...those that died appeared in her mind...the one among that made her startle was Creed. In her mind she knew he wasn't invincible. She did however believe him to be a force nature..One she let down. But the vision she refused to share. With anyone...save the one saved her.

Then with same ferocity she had against Holocaust she tried to push past..She had a team to save. and debt return.

Tally not even paying attention to the other finally realizes that all she has to do is deactivate her powers. Once done she checks to make sure the flame plume is indeed gone.

With the spell broken, Tabitha collected herself, snuffing and wiping at her eyes. " I don't know Heather. Aunt Ilyana [Majik] is the magic wielder I've ever worked with." Her voice was cracked and hoarse from the spell induced tears," but I don't think she's powerful enough to deal with this Doormat guy."

"Duumb-ummu." Gambit corrected Tabitha. "And Jean Grey or good psychic could help, too. Psychics can go places in the mind they way mages go in the voodoo."

Heather manipulates the icons on the crystal surfaces. "We don't have the water to flood all the chambers, and I don't think that will work on mystical fire anyways Gambit, but the psychics are a good idea too. As for Majiks, apologies Tabitha but my experience with them have been less than..pleasant." Her expression darkens. "Alright, so I've input all the parameters into computer - the AI will select the person with the highest probability to end the threat and bring them here using the back-up Talus I just put on Blink. Clarice honey? It's going to hurt a bit."

The Talus glows brightly pink, causing Blink's eyes to glow and feel like her body is on fire (take 4 SDC damage) and a portal opens in the room, with papers and little bolts of white lightning scattering about. You hear a yelling before .....



a naked Hercules crashes into the room! (he is carrying the barrels as shown here though).

Heather's eyes go wide. "Well, that wasn't what I was expecting!"

"By Zeus's beard!" he looks about and then puts one of the barrels in front of himself. "I will explain if you will do so first. Not that I object to being in the presence of so many beautiful women." He smirks ruefully.

" Ohh... my." Was all Tabitha managed to say, unable to help staring.

Hercules smiles at Tabitha's comment. "I get that a lot. Do not worry, you'll get used to it."

[Renekin Skywalker]

Gambit coughs. "No man minds that." He adds, covering Tally's eyes.

[kurff]

"Apocalypse made sure mages were dealt with on my world. Like telepaths and time travellers they were marked to be terminated on site or if they weren't threat made to work for him." Blink added.

"We have problem." Blink looked briefly about clothes, she continued, "We have a threat we are unable to deal with...what need is a mage or Mystic. Ever hear of Dormommu?" she asked handing him whatever she found or her cloak whichever fit him.

Tally had just finally calmed herself down from the flames but now to have this happen, not that she saw much as soon as the crash happened and looked like someone was standing up she had someone put their hand over her eyes.

"Why did you do that. I mean is there something I should not see?" She asks aloud not sure who covered her eyes.

" I wish I could." Tabitha said, then clamped a hand over her mouth in embarrassment for saying it. Blushing, she had to look away. " It's okay Tally. Gambit is just jealous."

"Dormammu? Yes, I know of him." Hercules looks about the barrels before opening one up and taking out one of his costumes and putting it out.

Heather looks at him as he changes. "We need a way of stopping him. Some weakness."

Hercules smirks. "Ah, that is simple, fair one. You simply need to outsmart him. Perhaps some negotiations are in order. I know of one here well suited to the task." as he slaps Daredevil on the back hard enough to shake him. "My good friend Natasha speaks very highly of your oratory skills!"

"Daredevil, your a Orator?" Blink smirked,"all these new faces I have my homework cut out for me." the young mutant was always did land herself in situations over her head..mostly of her own impulsive nature. Whether it was to an impulse to do a job in certain fashion or a gut reaction then explain later; Impulse usually got the better of her. She just hoped Pym and Morph were still fine.

DD lurches under the heavy slap. "I've made a few negotiations in my time," he says.
