"The Captain said I need training to pass the North America Trials. I have seen that everyone acts differently than I do. The people who decided on the tests will think like you. If I don't understand your way of thinking I will fail."
Peacemaker pauses, "This is the first time I have had a real job since I left home to find work. I don't mean to bother you." She looks slightly sheepish, "Is there a better way to find out what I should be doing and how I should act?"

Dante reaches out and puts a reassuring hand on Peacemaker's shoulder. "Your doing fine. Its great that your willing to learn so much. Just keep doing what your doing."

Khris scowled as Dante intervened before he could reply. He gave his teammate a bit of an annoyed look before looking away.

Peacemaker smiles at Dante and says, "Ok." Yet she doesn't miss Kris' scowl and continues to think.
Musing is interrupted by arrival at some kind of farm. A worker meets them at the gate and leads them into the main house where they spend a few minutes sitting and waiting.

Dante doesn't bother responding to Kris' scowl. He was obviously trying to figure something out about the girl, but Dante just thought the girl has been through enough. Dante stays standing and keeps his eyes peeled as they wait for whatever they are waiting for.

Kris begins to feel very strange. He is getting stronger, and so is Peacemaker. Peacemaker is beyond mega powerful. Tiger, Dante, Akane and Dancer seem unaffected.
The approaching presence is like nothing he has ever felt. He can tell that the person approaching is the reason for Peacemaker and his own surge in power. An amplifier.
Dante picks up on Peacemaker's strange expression easily and just then the door opens and a young woman enters flanked by two old men. The woman curtsies, and the old men make their greetings in Norwegian, then switch to English.
"Good morning," the older of the two says, "We appreciate your visit." The other man slides a contract across the table towards Tiger. She nods and begins to leaf through it.

Dante raises an eyebrow at Peacemaker, he sends to her, 'are you ok? Is something bothering you?'

Peacemaker thinks: Its her isn't it. She makes me stronger. Just her presence. I've never felt anything like it. Peacemaker is focused on the young woman.

Khris had never felt anything like the effects of other metas' presence. He kept his expression blank, but he tried to catch Dante's attention by tapping his temple slightly. At the same time he kept thinking Tell Tigger we need this one

Dante looked ate everyone else to see if they were all effected the same as peacemaker. He found it odd that he wasn't but it may have been due to the nature of his abilities. Catching Khris' look and gesture he listens in to see what he is thinking.
Giving a slight nod in acknowledgment, he turns his telepathy towards Tiger, 'it seems this one can boost others. Peacemaker and Khris both seem to be feeling some effect from her. Khris says we need this one.'

Tiger glances over at Dante and Kris looking up from the contract, she sets it down carefully and looks intently at the young woman, then shifts her attention to the two men, looking each one in the eye and then addresses all three of them.
"This is a marriage contract." Tiger says, carefully keeping her voice pleasant. Its hard since she isn't smiling.
One of the men smiles and nods.
"You are working on eugenics." Tiger surmises.
"Yes," says one of the men in english with a light norwegian accent. "Our organization has been working to advance humanity for hundreds of years."
"Wonderful," Tiger says, sounding sincere. She looks around. "I can give you genetic material from a non-human."
"I'm afraid that won't be enough...."
"How about a psychic then?"
"Hmmm... I don't think that is what we need."
"An immortal with a host of sensory powers and extraordinary abilities?"
The other man smiles. "We don't use gene splicing. We are rather old-fashioned. We find powers are best explained by a caring parent, thus we use natural methods and marriage."
Tiger stops for a moment to think about that. It sounds reasonable enough, but it presents numerous problems for her. Its not as if they will agree to marry Peacemaker to the girl after all. She tries to think.

Dante is shocked at the revelation of the contract. He doesn't even try to hide it, although the sunglasses he is wearing do hide the look in his eyes. He is especially surprised when Tiger starts offering up everyone's genetic information. He thinks to himself, 'she want's my DNA for some experiment, she's going to have to take it from me by force.'
He glances at everyone from behind his glasses, to see how they are taking this news, and also takes a second each individual to listen to their current thought before jumping to the next person. He starts with Bel, Peacemaker, Dancer, Khris, then Akane, and finally Tiger. Lingering on Tiger for a moment, he then decides to turn his attention on the woman that seems to be expanding others powers as well as presenting this contract.

Khris spoke flatly. " What about DNA that would allow you to create a tracker? you say gene-splicing is old-fashioned, but sometimes tried and true works best. Especially when you can find the sources you need." He knew the potential that he was offering could be devastating in time, but he hoped the trade off in the short term was worth it. He looked at no one else except the man at the table.

Peacemaker's knowledge of DNA is quite limited, and she is still trying to understand what is going on. She doesn't really know what eugenics are either.
Bel's thoughts are guarded. What do you think? Is all Dante gets from her initially. She feels skeptical, but its hard to tell what she is thinking.
Tiger is blunter. We have nothing, Dante. They don't want DNA. They want a husband for this... this... girl. I hate eugenics. Always creeps me out. And I'm not too keen on arranged marriages either. You wouldn't really agree to raise a kid with some stranger just so we can sign her up? Any bright ideas? Unless happen to have a meta friend who would sign up for a mail order bride I don't see how we are going to succeed here.
The young woman's name is Veil, and in her mind she appears to alternately picturing Kris or Dante in tuxedos, standing next to her in a beautiful wedding dress.
