Issue 5: Riders Cometh

Cap takes a defensive fighting stance. "Be ready for anything. Zola's creations sometimes appear absurd, but I guarantee you they are deadly as anything you've ever faced."

Tally walks up to the field and makes an attempt to copy the energy that the field uses. (OOC - it is not in the book so I am not sure) If she does manage to copy it she will attempt to open it up so others can enter.

Tally soon found she couldn't stop the flow of energy through the wall, but she could manipulate it. As she did, Tabitha passed through slowly. after a moment, she came back through. She looked confused," It's a lab in there all right, with some weird little guy with his face on his chest. He told me to wait outside and he'd be right out." She shrugged.

"That would be Zola. Be careful everyone." Captain America cautions.

"You heard the man lets be alert. Gambit, Mr. Creed and DD..keep your senses alert." She spoke firmly while Centering her self like Silver Samurai tried to teach. The Meticulous warrior was intent on making her a samurai..but he he found her to impulsive...Hmmm Blink impulsive? yeah right...she thought.

“ What is the meaning of the meaning of this disturbance?” Came a heavily accented voice as a vault-like door opened to the side. “ How am I to complete my work with these distractions…you? What are you doing here?” Asked the Armin Zola, looking straight at Captain America and Daredevil. “ Where are guards?”

“ We left them where we found them.” Sabertooth replied,” The pieces anyways.”

Tabitha stepped forward. “ Why are you working for Apocalypse and what is he up to?”

“ Apocalypse? Who is this Apocalypse? I don’t do any work for this person. “ Zola said. “ The lovely Synthia and her friends came to me with a proposal to build bio-plastoids for her.” He looked at the others. “ She is such a wonderfully wicked creature, how could I say no? Johann must be so proud of her. And this team she has assembled” Zola put his fingers to his holographic lips and kissed his fingers in admiration.

“ Does anyone know what this nutjob is talking about?” Creed scowled

“ Shut up, insolent. “ Zola snapped at Creed. “ You remind me of that arrogant Rossovich. I should have listened to Emil about that one. Ruthless, yet simple minded.”

“ Emil?” Tabitha asked. “ Blonsky? The Abomination is part of this? What the hell kind of mess are we part of?”

“ Emil is just a college I confer with from time to time. He is too intelligent to get mixed up with this. “ Zola replied, starting to grin. “ a trait all of you obviously do not share.”

Creed snarled, “ Just let me gut him.”

Tabitha smirked, holding a quarter,” Flip you for it?”

Captain America flinches every so slightly at the mention of the name 'johann'. There's a noticable coldness in his voice when he speaks. "We need to know where these people are and what they plan to do. Tell me where the Skull's daughter is, Zola, and I might be convinced to leave this place standing."

" I don't know where they went, Kapitan." Zola replied, his arms spread wide. " They came and offered me the job, then left. What do you expect, I watch them leave? See where they go prehaps?" He looked at Blink and Tally," You travel with some lovely creatures of your own. My my."

Creed snarled," This guy's annoying me. I'm going to have a look around. " He didn't wait to see if anyone was going to follow.

After a moment, Daredevil's enhanced hearing let him hear sounds of a scuffle in the direction Creed went.

Tally still stays back and silent letting the more senior members of the team deal with whatever is going on here. If need be she will react to whatever is happening and is content to observe everyone, especially with X-23 not here she has no one to really serve as an adult figure.

[Renekin Skywalker]

Gambit, not satisfied with the situation, either, decides to follow Creed, to see what else there is to learn about this structure.

[Dome]

Daredevil listening to the sounds says, "Somethings going on. Creed may be in a fight."

He then takes off running towards the sound of the fight.

Captain America follows Daredevil, and looks at Zola. "You better come this way."

Blink said nothing and coldly glared in response to the comment toward her. She was of the same mind as Creed. Gut this slimy bucket of bolts..and she really needed to do something about her wardrobe.

"Tell me about Rossovich, Zola. What do you know about him? What did he say while he was here? Did he say who he was working for now? And I recommend you go with us." she knew if Apocalypse had a plan he would not tell it all to one person. Only what they needed to know, nothing more. She went with DD and the captain. motioning Zola to follow.

" Go with you? Little girl, my work is far too important for that to happen." Zola replied, starting backing towards his lab. " My doorman will show you out if you like." He began to giggle.

Behind him, the Door itself began to unfold from the hinges, spouting arms and legs. The door itself was actually a concealed robot. As the robot took a thunderous step, zola used the distraction to escape into his lab.


Gambit, joined by Daredevil, soon discovered it wasn't much of a fight. Around the corner was Omega Red, with Sabertooth's limp form wrapped in his tentacles. Beyond them, a woman with purple hair had opened a portal similar to one of Blinks. Omega Red passed through with Creed as the woman blew Gambit and DD a kiss before following.

"Sorry, But you can't go just yet." as Captain America leaps after the woman.
