Issue 2: Into the lair

"No, but if we don't move soon will miss the floor show on deck..." she grinned. She goes through once all the others go through.

" Well then we have an issue, sir." Tabitha said, watching the sleazoids bear down on them. " Our primary mission is to rescue you and the others here, and that includes all of our people Blink just sent to the deck when there's a bomb almost ready to blow all of this to dust ready to go off in less than ten minutes. Trust me, I not staying behind. Now go,"

In close enough, Tabitha shoved Cap into the portal. She turned to Blink," I'll hear about that one. Come on, Blink, time to get out of here. You'll have to be ready to open another one back to the Quinjet as soon as were get up top." With that she stepped through.

Creed looked at Cal. " Can you copy him? Without copying his temper."

Fury gave Cap and Tab a look," nice of you to join us."

X-23, Aura and Gaby all notice at the same time that Hulk has noticed the group and was coming towards them, knocking Colossus aside for the fun of it.

"I... I don't know," Cal mumbles. "But the good news is ya'd only have to get me 100 or so feet away fore I'm not like him anymore."

She turns to look at the rest of the group before quickly sprinting off towards the hulk, hoping that she can get to him before he reaches the others and anyone seriously gets hurt.

She gets close to the hulk and hopefully stops out of arm’s reach. “Hulk, stop please,” she says trying to buy time to fully absorb the hulk’s powers. “I can’t fight you. Listen the ships going to blow. We need to escape.”

“Morph never explained what to do when facing the hulk… he said don’ do it,” she gulps mentally to herself.

"Ghostsabre, go get Rasputin. The rest of you form up on me." Captain America looks down the Hulk. "Hulk! We need to leave now!"

Hulk responded in true Hulk fashion, and the enraged roar echoed off the the deckplates as his charge increased speed to meet Cal head on, but as she spoke while blocking his path. His eyes seemed to give an indication she was getting through to him, though his gaze kept shifting uneasily to the rest of the group. but he didn't attack.


Well beyond him, the others could see Tabitha helping Colossus to his feet, and the suddenly turn towards the carrier's edge and draw her blade and stand in a defensive manner in front of Colossus. then the sleazoids started to pour over the edge.

" I knew this was too easy." Creed sputtered.

"Hulk, we need to leave here, ok?" Captain america reaches out with an open hand.

Blink opens another portal. Seeing the aliens coming..If it is not infinites its another monster.

"Doors open." she kept an eye on her back..

Banner seems to understand, but then he sees the sleazoids, and it all goes out the window as he roars, "HULK SMASH BUGS!" and charged. Tabitha was helping Colossus up, using Hulk's distraction, although struggling a little under his bulk.

Creed grinned at Mimic, and held two claws barely apart. " You were this close. " He sneered at Cap," You're the hero, make your call."

Captain America looks at Sabretooth. "Go help Ghost Sabre with Rasputin and evac. The rest of you follow me." as he darts after the Hulk.

Mimic sends the Brood flying as Cap and X-23 tear into the alien creatures. The Hulk stops his ausault as Mimic spoke to him, and turned back towards the others. He charged at Sabertooth just as Ghostsabre handed off colossus to him. " Get him through the portal, Creed." Hulk was on top of them and slammed his fists down on Tabitha blocking his path. but somehow she withstood the hammerfist, blocking it with crossed forearms over her head though it still drove her down to one knee.
