The blast missed Aura, and slammed into the bulkhead behind her. Her return blast seem stun her attacker, then he toppled to the deck. Laura easily pummeled her adversary into a pulp, leaving her a mess.

No more of the strange troops appear as X-23's sense of smell led them to an open elevator shaft. she could smell that some of the other team had used it, but there were many other scents permeating the air, including one she knew well. Sabertooth.

As Aura and X-23 started down the chute,they could see an explosion below from another open door. Below that were several figures heading down as well towards a third open doorway.

Seeing X-23 has not seem do done anything but jump down, Aura decides to indulge her curiosity and heads down to the level where all the rest of them are.
