Cal nods and takes a deep breath; focusing her attention on Sabertooth just as she had been taught by her mentor Kallisto. She could feel the subtle changes in her body as she copied the larger man's abilities. Sitting slightly straighter then she'd been and looking more alert. "I think I could take on Karnak now," she grinned.

"A lay out of the carrier would help. where do we port in? I'm guessing security won't react to kindly what can we anticipate when we arrive?." Blink nods and looks at Sabertooth then at Mimic does the change. Just like the old days, minus Magneto's death wish and morph.

" I've got this." Tabitha pulled out a battered looking pocket computer, and handed it to Blink. On it was copy of helicarrier spec, but the details of the file appeared to be 20 years outdated. " Best I could get on short notice. Luckily I had that memory disc."
Creed spoke up," If someone crashed a carrier, then security will most likely have too much on its's mind to worry about us. We'll have to look sharp just in case."

"Better than nothing. I'd hate to have us port into a bulkhead. We will likely have to go in to carrier and Erik kept telling me to know my terrain." Blink looks over the design. Her expression at the mention of magneto was a mock expression of irritation.
"Sabertooh taught me that before the 'Magster' even started on my case about my 'impulsive' tactics..." she comments. Once done reading the floor plan Blink hands the computer back, "Thanks Tabitha, when do we leave?"

"ahem" Henry cleared his throat to politely interject as he listened to the exchange going on, and tried hard not to stick his foot in his mouth again "I imagine those fears are largely misplaced, (I hope), and I should be able to help with the computers, depending on the security. Canadian tundra? so 'dress warm'. anything else we need to account for? are we going in 'light' or 'heavy'?"

"I need to put a thermal suit under my clothes." Blink adds "I'm off to get my field kit ready. I'll pack a few spare hand-sized diver tanks in case were near water and go through the ice", she nods at the team leader.
"Doctor, you might want to pack that fur-covered fedora and thermal lined fur coat..I'll be right back." she grinned trying to get Pym to relax a bit as she and started out the door.

Sabertooth laughed as Tabitha rolled her eyes. " the Tallus is pretty precise, so we shouldn't have to worry about where the portal opens. But Henry is right dress warm, and be ready for anything." She looked from Blink to Henry, " No need for diving gear, no water for 100 miles of where we're going, and I don't think the Pymp suit is gonna cut it," she smirked.

Henry pulls out a pen and a notepad, scribbling something down muttering "alright, 'no Pympin' gear', check!" he gave Tabitha a 'thumbs up' with a grin, a wink and a nod.

She looked at Gabrielle before she could leave. " Not used to you being so quiet Gabby. what gives?"
Creed smiled as they broke up, looking at the others. " Nothin' to worry about kiddo. Sounds like an easy one for a change."

Gabrielle grins at Tabitha. "Oh, there's nothing to worry about. When I have something to say, I will." Gabby then gets up and heads out to get some warmer clothing and to get ready for the mission.

"I'm sure you're a better judge of this then I am but... goin into a situation blind? Possible crazy mad scientists with hyper viper beams and who knows what else sounds easy?" Cal asked. "Remind me again why I joined up with you guys." After a little bit Cal appears dressed in heavy winter clothing wearing mittens and a scarf and the whole nine yards. "I'm ready," she says with a nod. "Should I use the bathroom before we go?" |
