*Sierra just grabs a heavy nearby object and sails it down the alley toward the source of the gunfire. the fact it bounces against several buildings as it travels lets the shooters know that they were spotted and a 'defense' is underway.
'i don't think i need to worry about them Avi .. you okay to move? .. that should jkeep them out of hte picture for about 3 minutes. .. lets go .. 2 powers are down .. kinda low volume just now .. '
*she will take any hits coming from the area of the alley so Avi can go first 'correction .. one is faltering now .. i think we better hurry .. and now would be better ... '
*she gives Avi a nudge with a hand and follows using her body as a shield for now and hopes she won't have to do worse than toss something.

" Next time don't be so subtle." Avi smirked as he led Sierra using her directions. She could also feel the other of Taipan's teammates following them. On the good side, they were nearly to Tom and Ryne. And no more gunfire came behind them.
Ryne leaned on Tom heavily as he tried to steady himself even as Arc smirked. " Why would I retreat when I have the two of you outnumbered." even as he said it, a squad of armed men formed up behind him, with M-4 tactical rifles at the ready.
Ryne groans," This is gonna suck."

Tom sighs. "Yep." Tom looks around for any possibly metal barriers such as a car or dumpster. "Listen people, you really don't want to do this."

Ryne muttered under his breath. " Their bullets won't hurt me, and it feels like the poison is starting to wear off. I'll give you a few seconds to come up with something to get us out of here." Tom was big, but Atlas was large enough to nearly completely shield him as the ausault rifles began to chatter. Ryne gritted his teeth as another electrical blast hammered him," Hurry up."
Ahead, Sierra and Avi could hear the automatic fire open up just around the corner. " Thats gotta be Ryne and Tom."

Tom magnetically levitates a dumpster to form a barrier between the tactical team and him and Ryne. "There, that should cover us until we get extracted"

" Hiya boss." Nicholas answered the phone, with a grin she could hear over the line. " Mario must have laid it on thick for me. Just wanted to find out what the story was with the gift after you already paid off all my medical expenses?" On her camera monitors, Sasha could see both the guy who called himself Fusion and two of his companions with weapons in hand run past the elevator. "In case you needed to move or get security or something like that," Sasha said. "Besides as hard as you work here you can use the money to take a vacation if you want it. I seem to recall someone promising a ring to their significant other at one point," Sasha says into the phone her eyes glued to the television. As Sasha watches the guards go rushing by she realizes there is little she can do to help even if she wanted to. These were agents who knew fully how to make their powers hurt others. She'd only get in the way of Avi and the others; and as much as it stuck in her crawl that was the last thing they needed. |

" Oh..., uh..., yeah," nicholas stammered, indicating he wasn't alone," Never thought about that. but boss, I can't take your money for that. It just doesn't seem right."
As she watched, more armed men moved passed the camera. Apparently Fusion had brought alot more help than he had in the bar.
" Hey boss," Mario popped his head in the door," Ol' Felix found this by the basement stairs coming out of the washroom." He tossed her a cell phone before heading back out to the bar.

" Good, let's go before they figure out how to get around it." Ryne said. " We'll have to make tracks before we get hauled out." As he moved, Tom could see there were several flattened bullet scattered behind the bigger man as he urged Tom in the other direction." might draw less attention if you drop the steel skin."

*as Sierra moves and guides Avi to the others, she spots some bottles and a couple of larger chunks of debris. she holds onto them, in case and updates Avi as they move 'k .. the third is still following us, not sure what he does yet, but its back up to 3 in front of us .. the fourth is kinda not there or really faint now. about the next corner .. i got ammo for 'discreet' this time'

As Tom and Ryne round the corner, they practicallybowl over Avi and Sierra. Avi held up his hands in self defense as Ryne instinctively was readying a punch," Whoa, easy big guy."
" No time to talk." Ryne replied, thumbing to Tom," Tincan here bought us some time to scoot."
" Sierra bought us some too, more coming behind us." Avi replied. " but we gotta split . Now. sorry Tom, your chair is still in the car."
" Chair?" Ryne looked at Tom

Sasha turns on the phone to look through the numbers; praying it's not Avi's phone like she thinks it is. "It's not my money, Nicholas. It's your money now. You spend it as you see fit."

'only thing i can think of is we go up to a second story and use it to get to the next block. i got the third one on my six moving in .. but hold on .. that window should do .. can any of you climb without activating your powers? and can you aid the next one up and in?'
*she turns to face the direction they came and starts juggling the items she's picked up. 'i'm thinking that this might buy us a little time. if i can hit one in the shoulder or make them think that we're someplace else, it will help to hrow them off our trail'

The cell phone isn't marked, but when Sasha brought up the phone's number, she recognized 999.067. 1016. She had dialed it only a few moments ago and explained why Avi wasn't answering. Nick paused on the line," Boss, I know you don't have that kind of cash to throw around, the place isn't making that kind of dough yet. What gives?"
* * * * *
" it could work." Avi shrugged, not having a better plan.
Ryne looked at Sierra and shook his head," could endanger to many civilians too. Let's look for a better place."
As they moved along, Avi pointed out a small warehouse on the next block. " There. That one. and we stick to Sierra's idea."
Ryne nodded and looked at Tom and Sierra," Can either of you get us up there?" He pointed to the roof of the three story steel building.
