Sam answers McCain "Yeah, I know." Her voice is quiet and tired sunding. "You and Albright go ahead. I'll wait here with Daebors and we'll catch up. Keep your eyes open."

" Don't worry, we'll save a couple of dem for ya." Albright replied. " Have fun babysittin." He glanced up at McCain. " Let's go play."
About five minutes later, the distant firefight dwindled and died. Moments later, the sounds of someone approaching through the underbrush grabbed both Sam and Lynn's attention.

Turning towards the sounds, Sam hisses at Lynn "Get behind that tree now!" She then hides behind another tree herself, and aims her rifle at the sound, in case it is the enemy approaching.

Either he was totally out of his mind or perhaps just the fact He had a head for numbers and played the odds. Either way few would have expected his next course of action based on hearing the sounds of someone approaching through the underbrush.
Lynn stood up strait and made no effort to run and hide rather he came to attention grabbed his rifle by the butt and brought it to rest against his shoulder while his free hand came up to his brow as he turned to salute in the direction of the approaching footsteps at a formal position of attention.
"Sam" Lynn asked to none apparently around. "I find it doubtful that we need to run and hide from 'him' .."

" Cut that out!" Shepherd snapped before he had even broke into the clearing. He stepped out with Dyson in tow, both of them looking a little worse for wear. " Are you trying to get me shot?" He turned his attention to Sam and grinned. " We ran into one of Sung's patrols that thought we were FAA."
At least we think they were." Dyson interjected.
Shep glared at him slightly, skaing his head before turning back. " Judging by the look on your face, you aren't happy to see me, LT. What did I do now?"
Sam and McCain were making good time, until Albright broke their silence. " Hold up, bub. I needs ta make a pit stop." Once they had stopped, he started through some underbrush . There was a loud snap with a buzz as he came to a stop and loud out a loud cry, nearly doubling over. McCain could see that attached to his calf were the jaws of a large bear trap, it's vibro jaws working against the armor. " Get it off!" Albright shreiked in agony over and over.

Sam is relieved to see Dyson and Shep (OOC: Yes, even Shep  ) alive and in one piece. Smiling gently at Dyson, she says "I'm just glad you're all right." Turning to Shep, she sighs and asks "Just when am I not annoyed with you, Shep?" Shaking her head, she adds "I do want to speak with you in private about that matter I asked about earlier though." Shep nodded off to the side to Sam and started walking until they were out of earshot of the others. " allright, let's have it." He groaned.

Sam turns to Shep "What's going on with Lynn?" she asks quietly "I know you probably can't tell me everything, but I'm not asking for his life story. It just feels like there's either something I need to start doing or something I need to stop doing in order to get him to actually follow my orders." The frustration is evident in Sam's voice as she continues "If this keeps up, he's going to get someone hurt or killed."
Sam sighs "I just don't understand why he follows every one of your orders to the letter and pretty much ignores all of mine." She looks Shep in the eye as she finishes quietly"If there's anything you can tell me that would help me deal with him more effectively, I would really appreciate it."

Lynn gave a pause for a moment as if puzzled by something and quickly lowered the arm.
Had anyone been able to see inside his helmet his face was void of all emotion save puzzlement.
Without much thought on the matter the eyebrow drops and he silentlymoves to follow Sheps order and trails with dyson to the FAA base's Primary strike point
"What is your ..views.. on Fraiser?" Lynn asked turning to look at dyson.
"Off the record.. Just between you and me?" His head turned to face foreward in a slow and lazy mannerism.
"I mean more then once ive noted that she allows her personal feelings and emotions to bring her to choose an option in a given situation that places her entire squad in danger, instead of just one lone member."
He sighed and shoke his head slightly "And even with my recent efforts to assist her in the rescueing of Shep and yourself. She felt it more vital to chase after me when i was attempting to be an obviouse distraction, instead of heading right to you both..."
He trailed off and fell silent as if no longer interested in Dysons commentry.
Then begins to move off briskly or the others trailing astride dyson

" LT. Fraser is one of the better officers I've served under." Dyson replied after weighing his answer. " I think she actually cares what happens to us. That's probably why she followed you instead of coming after us. She knew Shep would keep us from getting in too much trouble."
Dyson smirked beneath his helmet. " And she's good looking too. That got her some bonus points.
Shepherd sighed. " I wanted to tell you sooner, but his file is classified. I don't know all the details, but I know enough to figure out that Daebors isn't your normal grunt. Someone made him the way they wanted him, and now we get to test him. If you want the whole story, I'll ask him to tell you if it'll help. And maybe we can get him to follow your orders too."

Sam sighs, but doesn't appear to be mad, just tired and frustrated. "Fine." she replies quietly before turning around and heading in the direction Dyson and Daebors went.

McCain quickly scans the area for hostiles before bending to help Albright. He quickly cuts the bear trap off of Albright's leg with his vibro knife. With that done he moves to a position of cover to watch for any approaching hostiles.

After more effort than expected, the trap was cleared from Albright's foot. He collapsed holding his leg and unleashed a string of curses befitting a apc load of drunken marines. " Who da heck sets traps like dat? I'm lucky it din take my foot clean off." He sputtered, examining the damage to his armor.
" Sam... wait. It's not that I don't want to tell you, but I've got orders just like everyone else. but if he tells you himself, then I'm off the hook." Shep replied, starting after her, before muttering under his breath. " You're as hard on the head as your brother. Wouldn't Mar love this..."

Sam grits her teeth and frustration seeps through "I understand that. You seem to be the hard-headed one that doesn't seem to understand that I'm simply frustrated with the situation rather than being mad at you personally." Sam sounds upset as she adds "So just shut the hell up, because now I AM mad at you" Sam tries to control her temper as she continues towards the rest of the group.
