Tom smiles, seeing Dylin's expression. "My point being, sir, is that when people like you do what you do, you weild more power than myself, Ragnarok, and the rest of us combined. The power over real freedom, people's rights and their safety. I don't doubt your intentions, and by no means do I wish to imply that I'm casting doubt on your character. I question the system, its necessity, and those who will come after you. Any one person can wield power on that scale, but as man is finite, its the person two, three, generations down the road, the one you can't see coming, who won't interpret the rules you operate under with your moral compass, that scares me. I've said my piece, and I've agreed to your terms. I just state for the record what I feel, as is my proper due as a citizen." Tom extends an open hand.

Isamu follows MacCoulter as he approaches Tom. He allows Ashley to sidled up next to him. He says nothing as Dylin and Tom argue there respective points. His face stays stoic even when Dylin threatens Tom with imprisonment. Dylin forgets that Isamu had similar views to Tom when he first met the team and his loyalty to his friend would out way any idle threat MacCoulter had made.
He waits for the conversation to finish and never says a thing as the two have their confrontation. He realizes this is how MacCoulter is going to handle the brothers as well. When they walk away from Tom he asks Dylin to join him in the other room before they speak with the others.
Once there and in private he says, "MacCoulter, perhaps it is time that you find someone else to lead this group. Perhaps it is time I move on. You seem to favor the heavy handed way of dealing with people that William also employed. I cannot work that way. The man you just threatened with imprisonment has been here for everyone in this house. He may not have been sanctioned by you, but in all honesty, he has been more help to all of us than you have been. If you cannot see that and respect that, then I cannot work for you any longer."
Isamu pauses and reaches into his jacket to pull out whatever credentials he has. He also removes his radio and places it on the table.
"You and William and others like you demand to be followed, whatever you want you get by whatever means necessary. Where did that leave William? You are no different than the mayor. I will not be your Wraith.
"I agreed to join this group because I felt I could do good for others, for innocent people. That did not include giving ultimatums and threatening people who have risked there life for me or others. If that is how you must operate, then you will do so without me. I am sure that there are other organizations that are willing to work without having to resort to means that you feel are so necessary."
If Dylin tries to speak before he is done Isamu raises his hand to stop him. He continues, "bear in mind I mean you no disrespect. It just seems our ways of doing things do not work together. It is unfortunate, I thought I could do some good for the people in this city."

Ashley's grip around Isamu's waist drew tight as he spoke, her eyes growing wide in concern as she looked at him. Behind them, as Sierra's message came acrossed the band-adios, Janie ushered Dmitri out of the room towards the stairs, and Kristian bounded down the stairs towards the beach.
MacColter cleared his throat as he shook Tom's hand, then adjusted his tie while composing himself before addressing the two men. " first of all, Isamu, you are not in the same situation as TOm here, nor are the brothers by your accord. Tom , though self defense , is responsible for alot of damage at his home. and with today's court view on such cases, he would be found guilty before he even rolled into the courtroom simply because he is a meta. The brothers would get a slap on the wrist for disturbing the peace, and may still. They, on the other hand, unlike the both of you, have yet to prove they are team players that we need, especially with the disaster in Atlanta. But it is your decision, Isamu."
He turned back to Tom, " We may need your abilities soon. With another meta stronger than Ragnarok that may need to be subdued. Ryne needs to be taken alive. and as unhurt as possible."

"First day on the job and getting janitorial duties? Nice. Well, as soon as I've had a chance to read the paperwork of my contract and talk to my lawyer, I'll be more than happy to help." Tom turns and wheels away.

" Very cute." Dylin replied. " I wish all the young people today were as sharp as you. Should I have delivered with pizza and beer?" He replied sarcastically. " " This is no joke, Tom. One of my other team leaders is out there in serious trouble and we need to find him."

"You threatened me with prison. Had I not agreed, I'm sure you would have moved up to threatening my parents. You don't joke, and neither do I. Let me know when you've faxed the document." Tom shuts the door behind him.

"MacCoulter unless you want to come and lead this team yourself, perhaps you should allow me to do it. Forcing someone to work for you, for us, will not produce the same results as convincing them that it is the right thing to do. However if you feel that your way is best and that you do not need my services, that is your choice to make."

" Very well Isamu," Dylin replied with a nod," you can talk with Tom. I will go talk to the McManus brothers. I beleive Ashley can keep me from strong arming them as well."
Ashley smirked and winked at Is," I think I can handle them."

Isamu watches MacCoulter and Ashley leave the room. He sighs deeply and shakes his head. He turns and follows Tom. When he finds him he says, "Tom I apologize. Had I known how MacCoulter was planning on speaking to you, I would have never suggested to him that we speak with you."

Tom turns around. "I appreciate that Is, but what's done is done. MacCoulter can't have it both ways - if he really believes that I'm a dangerous vigilante, then I really can't help you until I've had a chance to go over whatever contract he has to sign me up and discuss it with a lawyer. Otherwise, well, he'll have to think of a way out of his own mess."

"I do understand. I want you to know, no one here feels the way he does. You are a friend to us all. I do feel that with Ragnarok knowing your home, that staying here and working with us is best for you for now. Please do not let what he said cloud the friendship you have with those of us here. He will be leaving soon and the rest of us will still be here, and still need you."

" Aww, that's sweet, a little bromance to smooth things over." Ashley said as she came in. she gave Isamu a peck on the cheek to show she was only teasing before handing Tom a stack of thirty or so papers. " MacColter asked me to bring this in to you, he said you'd understand."
The title was 'Terms and Conditions', and Tom could see it was so loaded with so much technical jargon that Tom would need a lawyer to decipher it. She grinned , Glad I didn't have to fill one of those out, I'd still be trying to translate it to english. I'll let you get back to your bonding." She ducked back out of the room , chuckling.

Tom skims through it. "Hmm...ask him to bring me back the version that explains everything in layman's terms with every loophole, or tell him that I'll see if City Hall can make me a better offer. If I'm going to sell my freedom, I might as well see what the competition is offering." as he hands it back to Ashley and grins and winks. "But let him know either way that if he expects me to go through all of this, there's no way I can help him with his current problem. After all, until I'm a full government agent, I'm a 'dangerous vigilante' that he can't have running around."

Ashley turned, but didn't smile at his wisecrack. " That's not even remotely funny, Tom." she replied, taking the papers back.
" No, but expected." MacColter replied, further down the hall. " Fine Tom, let's end the charade. What are your terms? You must have some."
