' .. i know .. but can you honestly think of a better ploy than to split the competition up and beat the living tar outta them? he was after something. don't think he found it and will come back .. just need to learn how he was slowed down here and hope to repeat it'

Tom sighs and slumps, for the first time looking defeated. "Yeah, I know. Let me just get my laptop and a few other things. Anyway we can get someone to pick up the salvagable stuff later?"

Ashley nodded. " Dmitri can open a portal to and from. He can bring Janie and I over later and pick up your things. Isamu, can you use your powers to put patch the wall or block it or something for now? Last thing we need is for Tom here to get looted." She then smirked deviously, " Oh, have I got an idea."
Dmitri nodded, and led Sierra back to Tom's place. Outside, a sizable crowd was forming as police kept them back. " Unless you can copy two powers at once, we better land away from the crowds, or your face will be all over the 6 o'clock news." He smirked, his own concealed by his coppery transformation.

Tom attempts a small smile as he grabs his chair. "OK. Let me just get a few things" As he gathers his computer, camera, and a bag of books for school as well as a few clothes. "Ready." His voice barely above a whisper.

' .. uhh .. nope .. one at a time .. that back alley looks good' *heads that way first and even as she moves out of view of the crowd, she lets the power drop she's copied. her years in the circus show as she lands and hops with a tight somersault to eat the momentum up. she looks up at Dimitri 'guess i'll start walking then. i'll head to the beach and go along the shore from there. you might as well go to the others. no one will look for me there. safer, cause no one will believe i'm a part of Control. well the jacket maybe .. '
*its not really a case of her not being able to pull it off. she's pulled off more doing less, its something else. something that started at the house before they left. she touches the radio and speaks quietly 'on the ground about 2 blocks away. a crowd has formed. think Di should pop over, i'll walk the beach back. if that's alright with everyone .. '

Isamu walks over to the whole in the wall. He calls up a wall of rock form the ground right up against the house so that it blocks up the hole. He looks at the others and says, "that should protect your home until proper repairs can be made."
Isamu taps his coms and says, "Be safe Sierra we will see you at home."
When Dimitri makes it into the apartment Isamu asks him to create a portal, and then he helps Tom through.

*Sierra replies 'copy .. over'
*to Dimitri she simply says 'good luck .. i think you're gonna need it soon'
*she gives a smile then heads down the alley to the next street and changes her mind about walking. uses the radio 'gonna catch a bus instead .. its number *gives number* .. see you later then'
*she gets on and settles into a seat and seems to blend into the crowd easily. this way she's not fully alone and will cut off a good 30 minutes at least off the walk home. sitting in the back seat, she observes the other passengers. her attention goes to any 'meta's' she senses as she assesses their powers.

No other metas get on the bus, though a car passes by with one in it, but it didn't feel familiar. The bus soon nears the beach area.
[Tom and Isamu]
Dmitri opened the portal for the others. " I'll block up the hole in the wall and be home in a bit. I'll keep my band-adio on."

*Sierra pulls the ringer carefully, and alerts the driver of a passenger wanting off, then moves for the back door. once he comes to a stop, she heads down the back steps and towards the corner to cross the street.
*her eyes follow various 'meta' signals she picks up. she just wants to get to the beach. maybe with her kicking the water and geting splashed, no one will notice her tears. self doubt sits heavily on her shoulders.

Isamu says to Dimitri, "the wall I erected should shield his home. You can check it if you would like. Also, let the authorities know we are leaving the scene. If you have any problems at all, contact us immediately."
With that Isamu ushers the others through Dimitri's portal.

Tom walks through the portal wheeling his chair and other possessions. Once through, he levitates slightly off the ground while still in metal form, before turning back to normal and positioning himself in the chair. He's dirty, and looks tired and forlorn.

" Yeah, but you missed the wall inside, or where one used to be." Dmitri pointed out. " Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
Once they were through, the first thing that hit them was the smell of burgers cooking. Ashley looked at Tom, " You need a shower. come on, I'll show you to one of the spare room."
Janie met them at the door. " Hi guys." She was clearly looking for Dmitri. " Is, MacColter is waiting for you in the conference room. Something is eating him."

Isamu is taken aback a moment when Janie says MacColter is waiting. "MacCoulter? If you excuse me I will speak with him. Dimitri should be along shortly. He is boarding up Tom's home. How are our guests?"
Waiting briefly for Jane to comment on the brothers, Isamu then makes his way to the conference room. Making his way inside he closes the door behind him. He bows at MacCoulter and says, "MacCoulter-san it is a surprise to see you."

" they're fine. Kristian has been keeping an eye on them. " Jainie replied as Isamu headed up to the conference room.
MacCoulter stood as Isamu entered, returning the custom. " Hello Isamu. I wish it were under better circumstances. Last night, the team I pulled from Miami once you folks were operational was all but wiped out by one of their own. the team leader, Ryne Malloy was somehow taken control of by a villianess called Charisma during an operation and she caused him to turn on his teammates when they were already beat up from a run in. Atlas, as Ryne goes by, killed two of his teammates and put the other three in hospital before he was done and broke free of Charisma's control. Ryne lost it and took off from Atlanta, headed this way since he's originally from Miami. I need to find him as soon as possible, Isamu. All other operations take a back seat to this."
Ashley opened a door to an empty room. " Both rooms are empty here, so take your pick. The big shower is acrossed the hall from you. Nothing personal, it was built for Jason before he had surgery. I just thought it would be easier for you."
