Storm looks at Lazarus. "Ok let's do this. You and Kurff scout ahead and we'll bring up the rear. Let us know when you find the thieves camp...........or they find us. Fair enough?" Storm asks as he loads Todd back up as well.

Lazarus nods. "Sounds like a plan" Moving to the down the trail. "Kurff lets move" *heading down the trail to scout ahead.*

Kurff followed keeping Meka close. her superior sense could be helpful. If the pixie came he was he would need to keep his eye on there guides safety.

Lazarus and Kurff - As you spend the hour and a half making your way up the trail Lazarus you pick up the trail again and follow the two sets of horse tracks. Meanwhile the Pixey talks non stop. "So where are we going? What are we going to do when we get there? Are you going to surprise Jeb? Is there anything to eat? Why are you riding a dog? Have you even been to a city? I always wanted to go there. Is there a lot of people there? What is that thing on your head? Why is it so shiny?........................." Your night vision allows you to see the outline of what might be two horses up ahead but you are still about 100 yards off. Meka sniffs and sends an image in your mind that something is up ahead.

Meanwhile once the rest of the group is ready they follow the scouts from behind waiting for any signal from them................

"two horse's..and Meka's sensing something." He nods to Lazerous. The others might of had issues but he found the creature curious. She was a bit talkative...

Lazarus quickly whispers to Kurff, "Quiet her down we are trying to scout here not bring attention to us." Drawing his twin long swords when Kurff mentions that Meka senses something. "How far ahead does she think it is?" Looking intently up the trail and checking to their flanks.

Kurff - As Courtney takes the food she nibbles a bit then says, Jeb is my friend, just don't make him mad, he get's cranky once in a while. Ok if you take me to the city I'll be quiet, you won't even know I'm here. Nope I'll be as quite as a mouse. Not saying a word. Keeping my mouth shut.........not saying anything. Hey this is good bread. What kind is it. Do you have any cheese? Do have wine? I like wine. but no beer. makes me fart.........................."
Meka mentally acknowledges to you that it's the same sent she smelled earlier with the tracks.

"It's what was on the trail we found earlier.." he whispers back showing concern for once.

Derik nods. "I am curious to see how it is a Faerie knows all this and is not worried about a dragon."
(Not always... besides, sometimes, an NPC has to lead until the players are ready to take on the reigns... See HU:CS for evidence of that. :-P )
