*Mariana slows, and waits for Shep to catch up* "You didn't read the signature on the my traqnsfer order, did you?" *she chuckles* "And remember the rifle?... and they said you're the smart one..."
*she continues on for a moment.* "I'm out of Psi-Bat, on orders from Col. Black. And, being Psi-Bat, they have these things called 'Psychics' *with the finger-quotes*. Maybe yoU've heard of them?"

" Look, I've had just about enough of your lip." He pointed at her as he stepped up just that he wasn't jabbing her with his finger, but eyed the creek behind her. A sadistic grin crept on his face as he got an idea to knock her down a few notches. His hand shot out quickly, catching her in collarbone and knocking her backwards into the small stillwater he'd realized she was standing in front of.
"Oops, I slipped." He said mockingly as she fell backwards.

*Her face says "You bastard" before her mouth can form the wards, and she lands in the water* "You bastard!" *She jumps out of the water, and lunges and tackles him down* "I had dry clothes in my duffle!"
*Her hair now greasy and dripping wet, her armour, running rivulets onto Shep's*
"Hope you're happy" *She wipes the water off her face, and wips it on Shep's as she stands up, and continues her way.*

Forgetting about they're being in hostile territory, Shep roared with laughter as she knocked him down. Landing awkwardly, he fought back a grimace with a blatant smug look as he pulled himself up and wiped off his face. " You have no idea how good that felt. But you could have told me you like to be on top, I'm not fussy."
Picking up his gear, he took a quick look around before following her lead once more.

*Mariana continues walking on, pulling water from her hair, fuming 'Of all the nerve... arrogant smug... kill someone for him, and he pushes me in the water... stupid, smug... her rifle trained, waiting for someone to try.*

his smug look faded as he realized what she'd done but it was too late as he lost his balance. He crashed to his back with a thud, and laid there for a moment groaning, staring up at the night sky. " If you wanted me on my back, you could have just asked."
With another groan, he tried to pull himself up, but his body protested his first attempt. Under his breath he muttered." I'm getting to old for this crud. Damned psykes always make my head hurt." A second effort brought him back to his feet accompanied by cracking of joints aged well beyond their years from beneath his armor.
