No shots came at the helicopter as it skimmed in low to let the squad out, but the pilot was taking no chances as he revved the enging for a quick departure. Shep was the first off, dragging Cannons out with. Both of them had their rifles at the ready , just in case. Even Shep was taking no chances, having put his helmet on just before touchdown.

Sam puts on her helmet and also has her rifle out, just in case she needs it. Once Shep and Cannons are clear, she waits until the others have gone before following them. Once she has reached the ground, she immediately looks around for any signs of trouble.

Rhys hops out his CP-50 at the ready as he scans the area for any sign of trouble using his augmented sight and hearing as he scans.

Cabal follows the others out with his JA-12 at the ready, staying low both from the chopper blades and to break up the outline of his armor. relying on his psi-abilities to alert him to danger (sixth sense) he switches on his comm "orders, lieutenant?"

The helo lifted off after a thumbs up from the door gunner. Shep was still scanning the forest's edge. " I think we're clear, LT. Nice for a change, huh?"

"Hopefully it lasts," Rhys said quietly as he moves within easy hearing and speaking range of Shep and Sam. Pulling a copy of the map, that Sam showed him back in the infirmary, up on his HUD he attempts to place where on the map they are in relation to where they need to go.

Sam quickly and quietly lays out the mission to the rest of the group. "Ok, we'll split up into 2 groups: Cabal, you go with Shep. Rhys, you're with me. The first group to find our target first wins and is to contact the other team immediately. Remember: we are not to harm him. Yes, we can prevent him from harming us, but do not kill or seriously harm him. Questions?"

Sam internally moans, knowing that the new Lt was probably recording every single mistake she ever made in an attempt to get her fired says "You're with me."

Cabal grins "funny, at least we think alike. I was thinking the same thing, but was planning on me and Cannons forming one team. training vs. experience. no reason we can't keep this friendly. the challenge has been made, so what's the terms of the bet? losing team buys the winning team what? dinner? drinks? name your terms. a stalker thinking like a human. ironic, no? or is that borderline blasphemy out here?" Cabal flexes. he was ready for a hunt, and needed to blow off some steam.

Rhys nods to Sam when she splits the teams. "Lets move then, The sooner we get this done the sooner we can move on with the next part of the Mission."

Sam shakes her head at Cabal. "Any other time, I'd make a wager. This mission is too important and the information we need is vital to keep thousands safe. I should also add you'll find members in squads such as this to be a little more open minded, so can those kind of remarks. That goes for everyone." she glances at Rhys before shouldering her JA-12 rifle. "Let's move people. Keep your eyes open and stay safe."

Darryl nodded," Yes Ma'am." He almost sounded releived.
Shep looked at Cabal at the experience remark," That's why you're with me. So I can keep your attitude from getting killed. Rhys, nothing fancy, this old coot was a pro, so he'll be watching for anything cute." His tone softened as he doublecheck his rifle's charge again," LT, keep you're head down."

Sam nods at Shep and replies "You do the same." She then starts creeping away, motioning for Rhys and Darryl to follow her, keeping an eye open for any sign of an ambush or trap.

Rhys moves with his usual stealth, Blending into the shadows and bushes while not making a sound. Keeping fully alert with his augmented Eye and hearing.
(Prowl: 15/60 Perc: 19+5 (plus any bonus for Multi Optic eye and Amped hearing. Don't own RUE as of yet) =24?)
