Yup, we have that funnky safety net to hold the crates down with too. but if we do that the ship's Badminton contest will be on hold..

Careful where you tread, good sir. This isn't 1850.
Tie-downs, sure. Safety nets are unlikely in this context.

On batteries:
After the "battery" came the much more compact, poweful "gimmule" (pron. "gihm-mule"). Lithium-based, the size of a grown man's thumbnail, and able to run an LED spotlight for 20 straight years before recharging, it was said to be the way of the future.
Unfortunately, as with all advancements in the human endeavour, after the military demands it, science makes it possible, and inventive corporations make it commercialized, the adult entertainment industry got in the way.
Turns out, people like a little heft in their personal electronics.
The gimmule, then, went on to have a productive life lighting flashlights, powering phones, and, eventually the descendents of Hubble.
But, it could never replace the battery.

Kruff, if Mensk wasn't on the bridge, how would he know where to find Jessica?
Also, please, for future reference, state whether the engineering station is on the bridge, or in one of the engines (as each engine has its own station).

Well that it was a simple thought she might be working in her work shop...I would guess. Since that where she works most off the time I would think. at anyrate I'll withdraw that post. an have Mengsk stick around in engineering left for bit. Since he probably knows little of whats going on anyway. his mind on the new engine mod ideas he's constantly thinking up. kurff

If he wants to go wandering looking for people, I have no problem with that. Posting a motivation is very helpful.
I was actually confused because you never posted him actually leaving the bridge (that I could find), and then suddenly was headed to the bridge.

He never went to the bridge as far as I know. after the cargo bay he went straight to engineering. I tend to avoid the bridge unless I'm absalutely needed. an old habit.
At anyrate I fixed my post so I should be back in sync with the story. I hope I was not getting in anyones way or interfereing with anyone's PC in appropriately. If so I'm sorry and I'll try and be a better player.

Actually, now would be a good time to air confusions in the Galley.
Two quick things: yes, it's a Firefly corollary, though, please refrain from using Firefly's catch-all terms (Indendents/Alliance, brown coats, purple bellies, etc.). "Gaspatcho soup" were Rimmer's last words.
