Yup, I'm a big serenity/firefly fan, but haven't played the RPG. How is it?
Whenever you get a chance is fine :-) I'm on YIM or AIM if you want to chat about character ideas.

The system is very simple and provides a fast paced combat system, once you get used to it. Overall it has a low learning curve. Maybe I'll see about starting up a game here if there's enough interest.

Well, Dakota invited me a long time ago, but I finally made it. Better late than never I suppose. And for those that don't know me (which I would assume is almost all of you) I am looking to play in the Heroes Unlimited game. Dakota, I'll PM you a character idea/sheet soon. I have about a hundred ideas, some which break the rules slightly so I'll send the ideas before doing sheets. And here I thought my invitation was wasted all this time... better late than never, and welcome aboard

Thanks. I've been kicking around a couple ideas and then the unthinkable happened. I got my hands on an advanced copy Powers Unlimited 3! And now I have a thousand more ideas for characters. The question is will you allow a character made from powers in PU3 (or PU1 or PU2 for that matter)?

By "fill me in" I'm pretty sure he meant "post it all here so that everyone can get a peak"

Sorry for disappearing, but I went on vacation where everyone seemed to have computer problems so I couldn't post anything. Now the downside. With all of the powers in PU3, I have about a 1000 ideas for characters. When I narrow it down some I'll PM you a character idea or three with a brief power description.

Good Morning!
I played in the old Omega Sheild game as Tiger. Is there anything I need to know/do?
Thagema, would you like me to re-send you the character so you can review or can you think of any changes off the top of your head?

Hey!
Go ahead and send me another copy. I don't have any of the old character sheets from the first OS game.
FYI, this is going to be a whole new game. We aren't going to be picking up from where we left off and I'm not going to do the training scenario again for the new people. Everyone will be active agents this time.
Also, post a brief character summary since I recall Tiger's sheet being very long and detailed.
I'm pretty excited to get this game going and can't wait to kick it off!

Thagema,
Don't worry, I was intending to send you the short version! I don't think the server would accept the long version as one post.
On that topic, I am planning on cutting out some aspects of the character that I didn't use much (the wish purse) and I've heard we are planning on 4th level characters so I'll make those changes too. I will also be editing a bit in regards to tech/items. Back scatter x-ray technology has made non-metal guns a lot less interesting so I'm planning on retiring alot of that kind of info too.
Do you or Dakota have any preferences on "the past" for example, do Tiger and Shroud still know each other from the old game, approximately how much time has passed. I thought perhaps being seperated for a couple years or something (or maybe continuing to work together). What do you think? Or would you rather me an Dakota just worked that out on our own and put it in our backgrounds?
I'll revise the character and post her shortly! Excited to get started.
-Nate

shroud had better still remember Tiger, since he'll need someone to keep him civil with the new people. He doesn't have a history of making friends well. And btw, I don't have Century Station, so I may need to be led by the hand a bit. (and remember, I am the administrator of this board before posting the cheap shots over this post... )

Well dakota, its grab bag time, and Century Station is a great book IMO. Very worth pickingt up.

I totally agree with Isamu about the grab bag! I got two last year. Also, add in Gramercy Island, PU3 and any other HU book you don't have. It's a good way to get Mutant Underground, as well. I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it. It's useful, but not really the best book out there.
As for the background question, I'll take care of that with the first game post. I planned on you two still knowing each other. The original team you worked with split after the first mission, but most of you stayed with OS. Patriot moved back to the government organization he was with, Wraith left after finding out the shadow-powered mutant that was brutally killed on the slave ship (if you remember that encounter) was her sister, Wrecker stayed on in a tech capacity, and the rest left (I can't remember who else was in the game).
Your mission commander/liaison will again be Mr. Alexander. It's been a couple years since you all joined Omega Shield. When the team disbanded, Tiger and Shroud augmented other teams based on the need for their unique skills.
I'm still waiting for the other player's character sheets, but I'll start the game with Shroud and Tiger just to get things going. Maybe that will speed everyone else up and perhaps pull in other players.

Curse you Thagema! now instead of waiting for PU3 to come in, I have both Century Station and Gramercy Island on order.
