So, a weapons expert and an operator.
Don't worry about the Captain... that'll be an NPC.

Hrm...
You know, Dome... You could, say, Be a pilot... and then just take your needed piloting skills, like Wash ;D Then I won't have a ship full of mechanics... Maybe take one of the BtS professions and mimic it with HU2's skills?
If you need to invent a category, let me know... I had to make a Paratrooper category when I first made Silverfire.

you know, I just got the new RT book. I could quick roll a pilot from there. I would not mind that one bit :-) (skill selection all done for the pilot OCC, probably only take one month as opposed to 3 :-P j/k)

Well... you would know there's no VTs, but you could certainly switch those out for other space pilotings, or other pilot-advanced... I would recomment at least somehting like pilot: jetliner and pilote: shuttle, or similar skills...

Maybe there are similar OCC's, but I don't have the BTS or MO books without alot of digging around the attic. RUE I actually use

Well, build a similar one using the skills of the books you do have... RUE has a bajillion skills, and HU2 has enough to help out.... So, you could just roll your HU2 education level and then gear the programmes to fit a role...
A trading ship can always use front-men, smugglers, and the like, that would help to run the business, and also be an extra hand.
Kurff, for your operator, make sure you can track down skills relating to environmental systems maintenance.
