"Stay behind me as and extra shield kiddo, and put an arrow in anyone pointing a weapon this way. Duchess, Rider, see if you can give us some cover." Lex said as he raised his weapon to his shoulder and pointed at the closest guard center mass before pulling the trigger, the thunderous sharp boom of the twelve gauge overshadowing the roar of chaos of the throne room. His mind slipped back to the war in Europe, and without second thoughts he began firing as targets presented themselves

A small satisfied smile appears on Vivian's face when she realizes her shot was true. Nodding to herself, she quickly nocks another exploding arrow into her bow. "Got it." she replies to Lex, staying behind him as she aims her bow at the nearest guard coming toward them.

(Rex)
Rex could intuit the nature and purpose of the design if not the exact mechanisms - this core was some kind of massive, automated intelligence to direct the planet, but it needed several living operators to manipulate each individual function - like separate generals each controlling one aspect of a nation's army. Removing all of the controllers would render the operation paralyzed, while changes at key points could make drastic changes in operation - for navigation, or operations.
The Mayerts brothers were raising havoc as August grabbed a guard by the neck and lifted him into the air, only to slam him onto his back. Ezekiel shouted. "I'm running out of arrows here!"
(Lex and Vivian)
Vivian's shot went wide, sailing past the guard as it detonated over the royal court, dispersing them further.
The guard Viv had missed charged at her, but was met by Matt's Tomahawk piercing its skull.
"I gotcha covered, Steelfist." The Rider grunted as he drew his revolver. "Now let's make a mess of things."
Lex's shot cut down one guard, as another advanced.
Both of you could see Relak and Powell in a sword duel - Relak kicked Powell the length of the chamber and bounded after him, but Powell rolled to his feet and parried - the two were evenly matched it seemed.
(GM Note: Be cinematic, but as many or as few rolls as you like)

"Shall we?" he asks Lady Maraby, who nods. "Keep them back long enough for us to work. Never tried mind tricks in this fashion."
Without missing a beat, both roll up their sleeves, gloves removed, place them firmly on the pillar, trying to synch up.

Lex paid little attention to the others since he knew they were more than capable of looking out for themselves and would call out if they needed his help. In the meantime, above the chaos thundered the distinctive boom of his customized scattergun as he continued his slow approach towards Powell's fight. He swept side to side, unleashing when one of the black armored troops made the mistake of pointing a weapon his way. He counted each round, so he knew the last shell was in the chamber as he began the only downfall of his prized weapon, the somewhat slow changing of the drum magazines. Normally he took care to recover the spent drum, but in the chaos of the court room, he let it fall and stepped over while reloading the Trencher.

(Rex)
Rex manages to enter the mindscape - he feels colors, tastes shapes, and sees scents. An entire planetary ecosystem opens up to him as he feels the minds of all the others linked lash out at him.
(Save vs. insanity, save vs. psi)
(Lex and Viv)
Vivian knocked down a guard with her shot as Lex opened up his weapon, mowing down guards and members of the court.
"Geez, he's getting into it!" Rider could barely be heard over the sound as he reloaded his revolvers.
The Duchess had exhausted her ammunition and was now striking out with a bullwhip; given her increased strength in the low gravity, she was pulling guards to her and using them as living flails to beat others.
Lex fired his shot and hit a wall.
Except it wasn't a wall.
Nine feet tall, the being seemed to have the complexion of solid stone - pockmarked and a dark rich brown not unlike freshly tilled soil.
But it was stone.
The being moved towards Lex and swung out.

Lex hesitated as he saw his last shot strike a wall. But it was not a wall. He looked up over the trencher and realized it was a monsterous member of the court, and tried to duck out of the way of the incoming punch.

Rex is able to clear the mental chatter. He senses a voice beyond them all - quiet, deeper. The voice is in pain. And then you realize - this is the voice of the planet - a living consciousness - and it is enslaved. It needs help.

The Trencher dropped to dangle the shoulder sling, as both of Lex's hands came up to struggle against the stone giant's grasp around his neck. He struggled, trying to get air into his lungs as the monster, when he was suddenly free and gasping as the brute stumbled away from him. Stumbling away, "Sure, thanks," he croaked before going for his weapon again.
He only raised the shotgun to his hip before he began to rack and fire at the huge target

A map appears in your mind - at the bottom of the spire, there's a large, mechanical collar.
(Lex and Viv)
The giant rock man was phased by your combined attack and started to draw back his fist before Matt lassoed it.
"GOTCHA!"
The rock man pulled and began swinging Matt around.
"OK! YOUR TURN TO HELP ME!" Matt hollared.
