Tarnished - A game in the Golden Age

For the Rifts thing, it would be a return to the quasi-empty fantasy world of Rifts Earth as it was depicted before the CS War Campaign book came out. That's not to say I would ignore the later books, but I would be aiming for a world of trade caravans, and where power armour and MD weapons are unique and costly, and people who can use magic properly are special.

Add some mystery, intrigue and stuff, and that's it.

A really straightforward fantasy setting.

Should of extrapolated on what would be allowed character wise?

As mentioned, no megas or Carella uber types. I'm not looking to nerf, I just want a game that is not populated by the super powerful (or the super munchkinned). The focus will be non-CS North America. So Non-CS PCs for North America would be wanted (unless they're retired Trasskmasters... erm taskmasters). Starting period would be before 108 PA, with back-dated PC types from later books to be considered.

Hmmm. Still haven't tickled. What about a Godling game?

ninja style play works. I can see ninja with things like Vibro-Blades, personal Camo-fields and trick throwing stars or throwing weapons (EMP, Radio interference and other chemical or sun effects similar to batarangs and of standard non trick versions.) so yeah ninja's definitely fit. Looks to me like the 2099 Marvel universe..which is pretty cool. I call dibs on the name "Stormshadow"..

Been busy lately. I am interested. CE and the golden age of man was an area I'd like to have explored but in usual Rifts fashion we humans can't have something work right....us silly humans. so a CE: Age of Man golden era sounds good.

Parthenon game? could be interesting. I can could get into that too. but would have to be the right time and set up. I can see godlings having corporations or being in places of power keeping other evil powers in check. Guys like Hercules and heroes being treated like heroes in HU. Add in a few mythical monsters that conflict with the gods..ooh ya.

I suppose they might, if they were, you know, all into that kind of stuff. But not these Godlings. I had considered plagiarizing a page from Sasq and make them youngins about to start out.

Also depending on GM there is the any hand to hand that godlings can take.

Hmmm. I expect polite combat might have to happen. Especially if you're a child of Ares. Or Athena. Etc.

If you do, it would have to be in a style that reflects the pantheon(s) from which the Godling descends. For example, a Greek godling would not have access to Asian martial arts. But then, a Japanese-Greek godling would not have access to Chinese styles, either - only Japanese or Greek.

And it would be for flair, anyways.

Agreed and actually how I do it on tabletop.

In order to take a martial art you had to have a good reason to have it. We usually do greek pantheon.

If we allow martial arts there are some certain cultures would have too. Like the Viking MA Glima.

Looking at that Glima...I'm kinda thinking being a Norseman with a very cool pair of hand axes and knives could be fun. lol!
