Sylwia herself felt the impact on the forcefield and starts to turn to see the source while pushing the bandadio, "Avi and the others look like they are on the ground and not moving. Not dead I think not but not able to tell from here up. I think someone trying to hurt me as well but I not think they realize that hard to hurt I am. Do want you to me engage.?"

Long's focus made sure there were no more incidents as he raced across town.
However, his high speed maneuvers gained some unwanted attention, and soon the red and blue lights of an unmarked patrol car were in his rearview mirror, and he still had a couple miles to go.

"Alice, Avi took a team to the research base." Beth replied.
Jason hit the dash hard. "Dammit, that makes sense. Custer timed it so our meeting would keep me away from his real goal!" He pushed the car as they headed for the base.

Kristian lifted off as soon as Tom and Calvin were in, and they soon found out that crossing the city from the air was far faster and the HSUVs were incredibly fast.
They were almost there, when something streaked through the air towards them, narrowly missing.
"WAS THAT A MISSILE!" Krisian exclaimed as it exploded not far behind them.

As Sylwia waited for an answer, not far beyond where the team was down, a large man stepped into view with a shoulder mounted weapon and fired at something approaching quickly. A projectile of some sort streaked at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing.
On the ground, the large man was reloading.

Long keeps speeding to his destination. When he is able to get a free hand he taps the band-aid-io.
"Hey Beth, I had a little accident on the way over to help Avi. Took a corner too fast and hit somebody's car. Sorry about that. My bad. Now I got a blue-and-white chasing me. I don't want him to get hurt by any collateral damage from whatever Avi is facing. Can you call the precinct and have them pull him off me? Thanks."

When Kristian exclaims about a possible missile, Calvin is worried. I'm not invulnerable, and I've got no ranged abilities. "Can anybody see what's targetting us?"
Calvin looks out the windows to see if he can spot the source of the attack.

Sylwia noticing the man decides best way to take care of him is to zip down and as such she dives down putting herself in the path of any weapons fire that could be coming her way should he reload before she get there and stops a little ways away, "Are you not smart?" She simply asks.

Tom tries to set up a magnetic field to repel any metal heading their way. "I don't know but keep going!"

"Give me a second, Long." Beth replied. After a moment, the patrol car turned off it's lights and slowed it's pursuit. "Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of a 1997 Chev Impala."
Something streaked overhead at a rate of speed far greater than Long was driving. Or someone was a better choice of words.

The man with the rocket launcher had already began reloading as Sylwia landed in front of him. He hesitated, looking at her before something blindsided her heavily from the side. It did not penetrate her force shield, but it had plenty of force to knock her aside. It reminded her of something, which became clear in an instant as the brute that had leveled Gabe at the mall stepped into view.
The man with the rocket launcher resumed reloading and fired again at the approaching vehicle.

A second rocket was much closer, veering away at the last second thanks to the magnetic shield. "That was too close, mon. We gotta get to ground" Kristian said, as he took the HSUV to ground level, skimming along impersonating a normal vehicle. "Calvin, why don't you fly on ahead wit Tom. No need for all of us to be a sitting target."

Jason went to make the next turn, and something slammed the rear of the car and pushed them through the intersection to miss their turn and glance off a pole.."Are you okay?" Jason asked, and scowled as Custer and another man waved to him from the vehicle behind them. Jason floor the accelerator, and the car lurched an continued on, with Custer pursuing them. "Alice, can you do something about them?"

"Dude, I'm good. Sheilds up and all that. I've got you covered - Calvin can go ahead." Tom shot back as he maintained the field and kept himself in metal form.

Sylwia stands up, "That was not nice and what you did to Gabe not nice either." She states leveling her hand down to fire at the man who attacked them earlier but instead turns and shoots the rocket launcher instead.

"On it." Calvin looks to Tom. "Mind being carried?" As long as Tom's okay with it, Calvin puts his arm around him, opens the hover SUV door and rockets out, accelerating to near-sonic speed.

Alice replies to Jason, "I'll try." Closing her eyes, Alice tries to picture where the brake on the other car would be and tries to push it down with her telekinetic ability to stop the car from following them.

Long hoped that whoever that was one of the other Sentinels was handling it. Right now nothing was more important than getting to Avi.
What he was really afraid of was that might be The Jury flying overhead.

Calvin smiles at Tom's reasoning, and wordlessly rockets off, leaving Tom to follow his plan. He accelerates to Sonic speed, hoping to cover the distance in a moment's time.
