Hydroponics
"You know that we are in the middle of a crisis situation, right?" Jessica said, in a verbal down-pegging. "We're all doing busy work."
She then took a moment to collect herself. "Right now, we need to know how long until the engines fail, and the air. And we need to know if we'll live long after that. We might end up spending days sealed the hydroponics bay eating cold beans because it's the best place for air and water. If you want that to happen right away, keep up the attitude. If not, you had better start treating the ship like a life raft."
Engine room. So far, none of the engines or fuel tanks have been ruptured. There is still air left in the cargo hold that is getting slowly sucked spaceward.

"Have to find that air leak and survive doing it. I better keep a suit on just in case. Now to find a leak...if this were a tire he'd poor soapy water on and see where it bubbled. Water or dust may harm the hull and open it sooner. But smoke was harmless. After locating a smoke or a similar gas he could see he let some loose to see where the hole was by following it. The process of having to fix it was easier than spotting it. It was a technical issue to fix the leak and that he was far more skilled at that.
Once repaired He'd Radio he fixed it..provided the materials were here. With Zero gravity weight of the materials would not be an issue. The mag boots on the space should give him the means to get foot hold to do the work easily.

Flip had turned back to the controls after speaking to the Captain. He kind of understood why the captain did what he did with MJ, but she was an adult and as much a part of this as the rest of them. Besides she could read an instrument readout and run the computer which could leave Flip to make sure no debris from this rock hit the ship, but he was the Captain, and Flip was just the pilot.
Then the Captain says to do a sensor sweep, "Another ship? I checked things before and didn't see anything," Flip says as he does another sensor sweep. (FAILED ROLL) "I'm not picking up anything out there Captain. Maybe it was debris from the explosion," he suggests.

"I know Jess, it just ticks me off that he doesn't trust me enough to be any more than support staff. Go, I know I'm holding you up. I have busy work to do now that the Captain's assignments are completed and recorded." McKenna replied flatly.

Bridge
Eventually, everyone was backl on the bridge, and had given their reports.
"Well," Tawfeek said, with a clap. "That's great news! We'll most likely live through this. Next round of actions. McKenna, you're up here, with me. Foreman, you're resting on my couch. Stephens and Mensk, I want all available air to include the galley, the medical bay and hydroponics, and the top deck and the stairs. All other areas are closed off. Move the suits up to the dorsal airlock, for now."
He leaned on the navigation table. "We're hot-bunking rotations with my quarters as the sleeping space. We have not heard back from space command. Likely some bureaucrat's all a-fuss about his ship being asked to save someone else's country. This means we're in a holding pattern, breathing whatever air we have left until someone finally makes a choice."
"It's pretty shitty, really. Anyways, let's get this done, and we can move back to something like routine."

McKenna was not overly enthused about the arrangements, but nodded in understanding before moving to sit so she was not in the way of any of the equipment. " Worst case I can bleed off the medical oxygen I have into the atmosphere, but have to be careful doing it since it very flammable. Could buy us a couple days if you're willing to chance I won't need it, and we'll need to replenish when we get planetside again." It was not much, but at least she was trying to help.

"See?" Tawfeek says, gesturing to McKenna. "It's easy to think outside the box and stay optimistic."
He paused and thought. "Actually, would you be able to make the mix needed for the suits? And Stephens and Mensk, double check that her tanks would actually link into the ship's supply."

"They should be able to link to it if I can find the right parts. I'll double check for them." he nodded and went to make the proper adjustments. the concept was pretty basic. With a look at the ships air flow system he went about the tanks mentioned.

"But I don't wanna take a nap," Flip says jokingly as he leans away from the controls, followed shortly by a yawn, "Ok maybe I do. With as much time as they are probably going to have on this trip, he hoped that he could get some alone time with the good Doctor.
He stands and stretches around and motions to the doctor to take his seat, "keep her under the limit and watch the paint job."

Heading towards the main airlock
"I think just one tank, for now," Jessica said. "Last thing we need is leaking O2 tank in an engine room."
With that, she went into the medical bay, leaving Mensk to grab a space suit.
Captain's quarters
The place was still clean, even after all the time the crew spent there watching movies. The notable exceptions were the personal effects that had been knocked about by the impact. Foreman found the couch needed a little tidying of objects before he could lie down.
Bridge
After the rest of the crew had left, Tawfeek sat, fiddling with communications.
"C'Mon CPAC, give me an emergency session..." He mumbled.
Followed by an "Ah ha!"
Tawfeek turned off the feed.
"Well, shit."

Flip drops onto the sofa. He thinks about how nice it would be to be with MJ alone in this room. He gets a smile as he thinks about that. But then he starts to think about the situation they were in. Stuck out here for who knows how long. They may never make it back. The Captain said he thought someone was coming that could help them.
Flip shook his head, he didn't agree. With the dominion of mankind and the politics surrounding that, Flip was pretty sure they would survive based on their own actions, not that of anyone else.
He started going over possible actions in his own mind until he dozed off from the effort.
(uhhh. oops on the name there. Sorry.)

Once in a space suit went about his work and ensured the air flow was proper and all that was sealed stayed sealed. The idea of conserving air made sense to him. What didn't was why they were so willing to just sit by let an asteroid hit earth. Even if the hit didn't strike anyone they'd still be blamed for not acting. Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
The captain was so concerned about staying below the radar that he was willing to sell out on earth. Protection of the crew was quickly looking like an excuse to not act..But he was captain and whether Mengsk agreed or not did not matter. After all a ship a sea is its own world and all..and space was just another sea.
