22. Titan

After the rough but seemingly safe landing he started a Diagnostic on the main systems. One that could easily be quit should they need to leave quickly. Another task was to check the hull for scoring, holes or weak spots from the planet's atmosphere..not a fun job. But vital to keep a ship looking good..and netting good customers.

[Renekin Skywalker]

[Galley]
"The medical supplies we picked up, that we flew out to Titan to deliver?" Tawfeek said, putting things away. "You didn't honestly think we flew here for the shopping malls, did you?"

[Rest of the ship]
Do what you need to do.

[dakota]

McKenna stopped, and looked at Tawfeek. "Captain, this is the first I heard of medical supplies in the cargo hold. I'm just the help, remember? I cook, I grow vegetables, and I patch the rest of you up if you get banged around. I don't fall overly high on the need to know list, and it doesn't really bother me. And since I found out we carry vermin you think is a good source of fertilizer, I haven't been to the cargo hold." There was nothing to her tone as she replied, as she merely was pointing things out, but it occurred to her it sounded like she was complaining. "Don't get me wrong, I want to help out, but unlike the others, I know my usefulness to the crew is limited, so I just try to stay out of the way. If I had known it was medical supplies onboard, I would have offered to take care of them sooner."

"They should be fine," Tawfeek answered, in the reassuring way a captain could, that really only played the odds. "Just make sure that you can read everything on the roster."

[Dome]

Flip leaves the bridge after shutting everything down, and heads for the galley. He looks for something to eat. If anyone is there he says, "landing in soup has made me a little hungry."

[dakota]

McKenna felt a bit put off the way Tawfeek answered. " No, it's no bother. I'll get right at it, Captain. We have gravity on, right?" She said as she threw her dishcloth aside.

[Dome]

"Hey Captain, Doctor, sorry about the bumps as we touched down. Atmosphere here is a pain. Everything is shutdown and secured," Flip says to the Captain and Doctor.

"What you up to Doctor," he asks MJ.

[dakota]

"Hi Pilot." McKenna replied to tease. " Landing wasn't that bad, but a little warning next time would be nice. I have to go inventory the cargo manifest. No one told me we were transporting medical supplies."

[Dome]

"Well the ship is landed and shut down, so I'm available if you would like a hand," Flip says to MJ.

[dakota]

"Sure," McKenna replied, " unless the captain has work for you that he hasn't told you about too." She glanced at Tawfeek, expecting something from him.

[Renekin Skywalker]

Galley

"Fine," Tawfeek said, as he put things away. "But be quick. We won't have time for puppy dog eyes. And when you're done, Foreman, talk to Stephens"

Engines

Mensk's survey of the hull showed no punctures. However, without a visual inspection, there was no way to tall about scuffs or dents.

[Dome]

Flip stands and says, "all right you heard the man, lets get to it, and don't shoot any puppy dog eyes my way.

[dakota]

"I don't do puppy dog eyes, Captain." McKenna replied with a shake of her head as she started walking towards the hangar. She then patted her leg like she was calling a dog, " Here Flip, c'mon boy" She chuckled

[Dome]

Flip follows MJ and raises an eyebrow as he nears her, "really? Is that really how you see me," he asks as he walks past her not pausing and walks towards the cargo hold.

[dakota]

"Of course not Flip." McKenna couldn't hide her surprise with the question. " You're a great friend and the best pilot I know."
