Issue 21: Savage Times

Tally still happy that Pietro is in his own way showering her with a form of affection but kins it to a kind of step father type relationship smiles at his words.

Still it is not the time nor place to act as Tally flies out of the ship and goes to help with the fire flying down and copying it so as not to be hurt at all.

She then uses her powers to best possible by making fire breaks and trying to drain away if possible.

"Oh I'm sure Pietro could probably do that better than anyone of us put together; but enough about his love life." Jen says with a playful smile. She heads for the door as the jet goes on autopilot. "Lets go see what trouble the X-men are into now."

She would stand up for any member of the mutant group any day of the week, but boy do they get into trouble a lot. If was safe she'll open the door and leap out, heading as close to the crashed plane as she can. If any thing big and scary, and a meat-eater, is there they would see the green amazon landing into the ground with a sizable impact crater.

"Dino-bait to Avengers, radio check." She says over their comm.

Opening a portal..Anyone going through, go now.." blink called as she opened up the portal to the ground. Once all who were going through did she went through.

"Just for clarity..anyone here know anything about fire fighting?" Blink followed suit and kept an eye out for any fire she could teleport dirt on or the burning item away. the terrain was primal and inviting somehow. the concept of a nearly untouched land was an experience. This was one that was not a wasteland either which made it even better.

"I like the Vibe out here...no traffic or human noise...could get used to this." she grinned.

Spider-Man and Atlas leap out of the Quinjet; the latter growing to 25 feet and landing with a crash.

Tally flies through the flames - there's no one inside.

The rest of the team creates firebreaks where they can to keep the fire contained as the Quinjet sets down.

DD stands and and offers Tabby his hand, "care to walk through a portal with me?"

If she agrees he will walk towards Blink's portal holding her hand and through to the other side. As they walk through and he is now in the Savage Land again, he pauses. The sounds are all different than he is used as are the smells of the jungle that assail him.

"I think I miss the skyscrapers already," DD says looking up.

Seeing the fiery wreckage, Logan says nothing, but eager steps through Blink's portal to the ground. "Not really, more an expert on burning in one," he quipped, working hard to keep it from spreading further.

"Quit your whining, horn head." Tabitha teased as she took Daredevil's hand and followed him through Blink's portal. Once on the ground, she transformed into her metal form and helped prevent he fire from spreading. She looked at Logan," So is there anyone here that would want the Xmen out of the way, besides dinosaurs eating them of course?"

Tally comes out from the burning hulk that is the blackbird and reports, "No one seems alive in there, but there is none that are dead either. So looks like all is good or at least they got out." She then moves out of the ship at least glad the one article of clothing she has is unstable molecules.

The combined efforts of Atlas, She-Hulk, Tabby and Tally put out the fire.

Wolverine is able to catch the scent of the X-Men on the wind, and several others - too many to make out easily.

Completed with her task leaves Tally ready to join the others and as such she flies to where Tabitha is, "If we are done I guess that means we will have to find the others. That is if it is at all possible. But then again we will see." She smiles trying to put her positive spin on things.

As the others deal with the fire, DD wanders around the crash site trying to use his senses to pick up clues on the direction the others may have gone.

She-hulk claps her hands together, carefully, to get the majority of the soot off. There was no longer a danger of a massive fire burning through the area. That was a complication they did not need while they search for the X-men.

"We'll find them." Tabitha said, deciding to stay in her metallic form in case any dinosaur's were prowling. " We're Avengers, and the Avengers always get the job done.Right? I almost hope one of those big meat eaters. Can't have any harder a head than Juggie, or smell worse than Wendigo did." She chuckled, then slipped over to Daredevil," Finding anything?"

Wolverine, after getting the soot out of things, sniffs the air, trying to follow the group scent through both his smell and tracking.

Wolverine finds his sense of smell dulled by all the smoke and soot from the firefight. Daredevil similarly is having a hard time orientating himself, though he manages to catch something familiar in the air - ozone - something that uses a high level of ozone was used not too long ago.

Songbird and Quicksilver exit the landed Quinjet. "OK, any ideas on where to go first?"

Quicksilver responded. "I can do a quick reconnoiter. Join me, Aura." He motions Tally to come to him.

Songbird let the two go. "Atlas?"

"Watchtower duty, got it." The big man swelled to 60 feet in height, looking over the treetops. "Anyone have any idea what to look for?"

Spider-Man chimed in. "Maybe an Arby's?"
