Issue 21: Savage Times

DD says to Tabby, "or someone that can make their own electrical field. We should keep an eye out for someone like that too."

When told to move out DD nods, "I'm going to head up and move through the trees. I usually don't just stroll through at ground level."

He then moves forward trying to remain quiet but at the same time moving up into the trees and going from branch to branch using his skills and his billy club with towline to keep moving.

"Off with you...Understood." Tally says to Pietro as she follows suit and heads into the air to follow doing her best to match his speed and stay close to the ground.

Tabitha nodded at what DD said, and watched him go to the trees before going intangible and beginning to follow Wolverine's lead. The idea of someone generating an electrical field bothered her a bit because it interfered with her abilities, so she kept a watch for trouble.

Wolverine's team manages to make into the caves near the giant carved mural of Sauron. Both he and DD can pick up a lot of scents in the cavern (roll for recognition and tracking). The caverns are large and lit at irregular distances by simple torches.

Meanwhile outside, Barbarus (the four-armed mutate) manages to deflect She-Hulk's tackle (therefore no follow up punch) and is able to throw a punch of his own at the Gammazon.

Quicksilver points out a beautiful woman in an exotic dress. "Aura - take out Vertigo quickly before she can harm the others."



"I'll handle their other resident witch" He breaks off from Tally to strike at Lorelei (see below)




Gaza (The blind Mutate) swings a quarter staff at Atlas' ankles, hitting precise pressure points to bring the big man to his knees.



Stumbling, Atlas tries to recover as Amphibius (The frog man), and Lupo (the werewolf) pounce on him.

Tabitha kept quiet as they prowled along, surprised they had met no resistance yet. The large dinosaur man carving worried her a little, but rescuing the Xmen was priority now, so she kept wtch for signs of them.

"DD, you picking that up too?" whispers Logan, given the situation not wanting to give his location away, but knowing Daredevil can hear him.

Tally does not even respond as she just kicks the flight in high gear and chooses to ram him with two firsts.

Spider-Man starts swinging through the battle, slinging web where ever he goes. His first targets are the mutates piling up on Atlas. "Nope." He fires (Sticky Glob Strike: 1d20+10) a glob of web at Amphibius's face. "Uh-uh." He fires (Sticky Glob Strike: 1d20+10) another glob at Lupo's mouth. "No way." He extends his legs to swing kick (Strike: 1d20+10 Damage: 1d4+30) directly into Amphibius, hopefully knocking him off of Atlas. Landing on the ground, he says "Now, this seems a bit more fair, don't you think, Atlas?"

Wolverine thinks he's caught the scent of the other X-Men, as well as strange ozone smell - The Genetic Transformer once used by Brainchild and Sauron to mutate the X-Men as a means to increase Sauron's power.

Spider-Man globs Lupo and takes out Amphibius with ease. Atlas begins to stand when everyone is hit with Vertigo's distortion power

(Spider-Man, Tally, Blink, She-Hulk) - roll d20+ME bonus vs Vertigo Field effect - a 15 or higher is required. If failed, you lose two attacks and are -4 to strike/parry/dodge - double for Tally given her flight power and she has a 70% chance of crashing unless she cuts her speed by 70%)

Blink stayed out the fight ready to open portal and felt the effect. "That field has one hell of a range.." she thought to herself. keeping a tab on the fight ready to target to teleport allies out should the fight go bad. If it looked like only one or two would still be standing She'd port that one person away and at least they could free the rest.

"Lets get rid of that one.." she aimed at vertigo with a pin and would port her out the place.Better to not chance her staying conscious.

"That's right, big boy, I dare challenge you." She-Hulk said as she got ready to hammer him into the ground. She was vaguely familiar that he could take a beating. She plan on giving him one.

As they near the cave DD can pick up a change in the air. He pauses to try and identify what it is he is smelling
