For your stats, roll 3d6. Re-roll 1's and 2's. This is for human characters, if somebody wants to play another race, let me know, we'll figure it out how those work then.
All characters are assumed to have attended college or learned trades or other similar. I'm using a version of the Heroes Unlimited skill packages for this. You choose 4 of them. After that, there is Basic Training, two MOS schools, and then five specialty schools.
I have not by any stretch of the imagination tried to include everything, I've focused on the main MOS's that would be the path into a special operations unit. I've left out things like Veritech Fighter Pilot and much more. Let's face it, no pilot is going to voluntarily become a ground pounder no matter what. If you REALLY want to play something like that, come up with a good background why and we can talk about it. If there is an MOS that you want to play that's not in there (say for instance a former Spartus Hover Tank pilot) let me know and I'll come up with it. Also, if there is a specialty school you think I left out, I'll come up with that too.
Currently the MOS's are:
Infantry MOS
Heavy Infantry MOS
Combat Engineer MOS
Cavalry Scout MOS
Communications MOS
Military Police MOS
Ranger/Recon MOS
Security Team MOS
EOD Technician MOS
Scout Sniper MOS
Advanced Courses:
Airborne
Space Ops
Combat Lifesaver
MOUT (Military Operations in Urbanized Terrain)
Underwater Ops
Forward Observer
Para-Rescue
Underground Ops
Hostile Environment
Pathfinder
Cyclone Familiarity
Silverback Familiarity
Damage Control
Air Assault
Mountaineer
Landing
Culture Specialist/Linguist
Special Weapons
