" Sorry bud," The big guy stood up from the hood of an old Chevelle he was working under and looked at Tom. " But your building is next to a repair shop. You're gonna have to get used to a little noise, but we'll try to keep the hour a little more reasonable. We were just trying to make up for a little lost time last night."

Tom is a young man, barely twenty years, in a wheelchair. "No problem" THe young man smiles, trying not to show the signs of restlessness "I don't get much sleep anyway. I'm going to go for a little jaunt and take some pictures. Take all the time you need."
Tom wheels off, looking for a park or some other sights to photography with his new digital camera.

The big guy watched Tom leave before going back to work, pausing only long enough to turn the shop's stereo back on and filling the air with classic Black Sabbath. Down the street only a short ways Tom found a small park in an empty lot used mainly by locals as a dog park. There were several people and their pets there. No one paid him much notice despite the chair.

Tom wheels into the park, and begins testing the settings on his new camera taking snap shots of trees, birds, dogs in the park, and so on.

After one shot, and older gentleman approachs Tom. " Excuse me, young man," he said directly with a faint trace of some sort of european accent, " but I must ask you to be careful where you point that camera. I have a thing against anyone taking my picture. You haven't have you?" For a man who looked in his fifties, he gave the impression of being in tremendous shape. He was also toying with an epi pen he'd taken from his belt. Realizing what he'd done, he smiled and put it away," Apologies, I am allergic bee stings and there are plenty of them buzzing around today."

He checks the imager on his camera "I don't thing I got you. Don't worry, sir, I'll keep my distance."

" Thank you. I'd appreciate that." The man said. He smiled, but there was nothing friendly about it. " I couldn't help but notice you coming from that new body shop down the street when I was coming here. Do you by any chance know the owners?"

As Alice spots Tom, she says to Jason "Hey, I just want to stop for a second. I see a friend from school I want to say hi to." Finding a place to park, she'll get out of the car and walk toward Tom. "hey there. Long time no see." she says to Tom with a smile. "How have you been?"

He looks over the man closely, taking note of his features and demeanor, and never breaking eye contact. "No, I just got my new apartment so I'm afraid I don't know them, but they seem friendly enough"
He turns his head and smiles as he hears Alice's voice, he then looks back at the man. "I'm very sorry, I'm just going to say hello to an old friend. If you'll excuse me. I hope you have a pleasant day." He begins to wheel over to Alice.

" Very well, good day to you." The older man said as Tom began to wheel away, but not until after getting a good look at who he was going to talk to.
" Hey, wait up Alice!" Jason called after her, following at a much slower pace due to the cane. She had reached Tom long before Jason got to the two of them. He stayed back a step or two, politely staying out of the conversation.

Alice waits for Jason to catch up, and says to Tom "Hi there, how have you been?" She gestures to Jason and says "This is my friend Tom, Tom, this is" she pauses for a second, and takes the plunge not sure of how Jason will react when she says "my boyfriend, Jason."

He smiles at Alice "Oh, Ok. I just moved out of my parents place and got settled in town. Classes are starting soon. " *Looks at Jason* "Nice to meet you" as he offers his hand

Jason shook the hand firmly, grinning slightly at Alice's introduction. " Likewise." He intentionally ttried to avoid not looking at the chair. He averted his eyes to Alice," I'm suprised you admit that in public." He teased.

Gives Jason a sympathetic look as it's clear this isn't the first time someone hasn't looked at his chair.
"So, what have you been up to?"
He waits for the response, keeping an eye out for the man who had been speaking to him earlier.

Alice smirks at Jason and replies "if it bothers you that much, I won't say it again." she replies in a teasing tone of voice.
To Tom, she replies "Not much. We're just going to visit Jason's brother. He and his fiancee had a baby a little while ago, so we're seeing how the little one is doing."
