[Dome]

Dante watches the monitor, and he doesn't need to be Psychic to know what Tiger is thinking right now. He shakes his head, "this isn't good."

He hands Jeckle the medallion. He stands and walks towards the cabin. "I'll co-pilot with Bel. You got enough on your mind."

To Kris he sends mentally 'try to calm her. She can't make decisions when she is that upset.'

He walks into the cockpit closing the door behind him, "hey anything exciting here? We got a mess waiting for us back at base," he says to Bel as he takes the co-pilot chair, and then relates what he saw on the monitor.

Tiger slumps against Khris. "You are right. You are right." She repeats as if trying to convince herself. "Lt. White. Good work. We'll arrive shortly."

To everyone else Tiger says, "Be ready to go when we land." Then she retreats to the bomb bay to change her clothes. She pulls Khris along with her.

Jeckle starts to examine the medallion. Bel is up front, asking Dante questions.

Akane is forgotten for a moment, but it gives her time to get ready to land.

[Dome]

Dante says, "let me ask you a question," still talking only to Bel. "Do you really think the fate of all mankind can be decided by children? I know they are gifted children, but it just feels wrong to put all that pressure on them. I mean look what happened to Rock, and who knows what we are going to do to get Dancer back, all because she can pilot a robot that may save us? I don't get it. Don't get me wrong a team member is missing and I am willing to do whatever it takes to find her, but she wouldn't be missing if we weren't all putting our hopes on her shoulders. The Americans help start the UN, hell it was their idea, and here they are basically attacking one of their basis to capture a child."

Dante takes a deep breath, "their has to be another way to stop these demons than this," he breathes out. After a pause he says, "sorry if I can't rant to you, who can I," he says smiling and reaching over rubbing her shoulder.

Akane prepares for the landing as it comes up but stays silent knowing that it is smarter that way just to observe and accept that which at the moment is not in her control. Odd the way that some of these people act. She thinks with almost a cool detachment.

Bel thinks about it for a moment. "What happened to Rock was awful. And now someone powerful is getting impatient again. Didn't they learn anything? At least with Tiger as director we don't have to worry about the kids having to fight when they aren't ready."

"You saw the shield tests. Rock could stop everything and he still died. Dancer's shield is even stronger. Everyone who has faced the Demons has died. The US troops wouldn't try to kidnap a pilot if there was another option. They are desperate." Bel pauses. She has her doubts too, but she is distracted by the landing plan and the news of the traitors on the base.

"So, does the little metal thing work well? Will it turn off Peacemaker or Merrow's powers?"

[dakota]

Khris didn't resist, though Tiger's forcefulness to have him accompany her caught him a bit offguard. Once they reached the bomb bay, he asked curiously. " Ok, maybe I'm a little out of line being so open, but I was just trying to be there for you"

Tiger looks glumly at Khris, "Please continue. I,,, I needed to think and I didn't want to be alone. I didn't mean to drag you-I just couldn't ask."

She starts taking off her weapons. "I don't think I should wear my guns when we land. Don't want to be tempted to shoot anyone."

[dakota]

Khris pulled her into his arms. He didn't quite understand why this had gotten to her so badly, but he hated to see Tiger this way. "It's okay. I'll be there with you to make sure you don't shoot anyone." He kissed her forehead. " So the Americans think things are desperate, I understand that, but the rest of the team stopped them and it looks like Rock is recovering enough that I think he will make one hell of an operative if he wants when this over. Providing the UN lets you go afterwards."

[Dome]

"That's what I mean. We put all the hope and faith and pressure on these kids, and look what already happened."

After a moment Dante shrugs and changes subjects, "it worked one me. So we will have to put it in their hands and see what happens. Do you need help with the landing," he asks as he reaches out and touches the controls, using his Telemechanics ability to understand how to fly the plane.

Bel gratefully accepts Dante's help landing the plane.

In the bomb bay Tiger nods to Khris. "Yes, he would, wouldn't he. Don't worry, the UN isn't going to hold me back." She scoffs faintly, if she could leave her father's organization escaping the UN would be easy.

Once they land, they make their way to the elevators. All the elevators into the secret base have been repaired. Polish special forces troops escort them into the base. Once inside, they bring them straight to the training area.

There, they find Dancer, Roan, Marv and Lt. White. "Rock was just here," White explains. "But he left once he knew you were coming. He says 'hi.'"

Tiger nods, trying not to show how much it hurts that her student has a phobia of her. Especially after her fought to save Dancer. "So the Gate's pilot candidate was working with you? We had no idea."

"She helped out," White shrugs. He doesn't really know that much about her.

Tiger gives Dancer and Roan hugs and slaps Marv on the back. She puts an arm on Marv's shoulder. "Thank you. Great work. Fighting a squad of power armor..."

Marv smiles. "Ahh. Rock was there. And Veil. No problem." His smile fades replaced by a vicious gleam, "And its my responsibility to watch over Dancer." Dancer gives Marv a hug and the dangerous gleam fades. "I'm all right," she says to reassure him.

[dakota]

Khris hung back a bit, yet close enough to let Tiger know he was there for her as they met with the rest of the team. After White filled them in, he suggested, "Tigger, you want Dante and I to go talk with Rockł and see if we can work him through this?"

[Dome]

Dante de-planes with the others. He waits for Bel and puts his arm around her. He walks towards the collected group, "I saw the video, I was seriously impressed," he says to the group. He pulls Bel along, "we'll find Rock. Want to tell him the same," he explains before taking Bel to find Rock.

When he does he says, "Good work Rock. Everyone is proud of what you did, especially Tiger."

Tiger nods to Khris.

When Dante, Bel and Khris find Rock, he looks fine. Well, as fine as a person can look after they beat up a squad of power armor. He has a bruise on his face, his hands are scrapped and bruised and he walks stiffly. Of course most people would be dead, so he is doing very well.

Bel starts tending to him with her healing touch. "Hey, Khris!" Rock says. "Hi Dante and Bel." He seems in good spirits. Until Dante tells him Tiger is proud of him. A shadow passes his face at the mention of her name. Perhaps fear. Or perhaps shame that he is afraid of Tiger. Perhaps both.

He recovers in an instant, no shaking in fear like when he was first diagnosed. "Thanks Dante. I was just doing what I needed to do...."

"Heck of a job there, kiddo. The whole team is proud of you." Khris said with a nod. " Took a bit of a licking there though, from the looks of things. Bel here will patch you up though. I was telling TIgger before we landed that I think we should sponsor you to join Omega Shield once this is over. You'll make one heck of a field agent."

Rock looks Khris as if considering the possibilty for the first time, "Really? Do you think I could?" Of course, he had imagined himself joining Omega Shield, maybe after a stint in the military. But he hadn't thought about it beyond that.

His face tightens again at the mention of Tiger, but Khris' reference seems to have less of an impact on him for some reason. Perhaps because he altered her name.

Rock asks another question, "What will they do with the 1st Air Calvary?" He appears calm, but there is a hard set to Rock's eyes.
