Bel giggle at Dante's comment, "Later dear." She has a twinkle in her eye, as if later might be when they take a break and let the Polish pilot fly.
She addresses Khris, "Lt. White mentioned to me that other than us and the team that recruited eventually recruited her, Foxglove has killed nearly everyone who has sought her out as her meta ego. Japan's intel agents, CIA operatives, SCRET agents, criminal organizations.... You must have done something right."
"Besides, its just the three of us for a couple weeks. And you haven't been drinking. Might as well put your soberity to good use." Bel says in a practical tone.

"Which means Foxglove is playing us for her handlers." Khris sputtered. " More reason to watch her. So let's get this disaster over so we can get back before she kills the poor psychic I asked to keep tabs on her. And maybe you two can keep me from screwing this up." He looked at Dante," You didn't tell her the only reason I quit drinking was because I blew the first mission Tigger put me in charge of?"

Bel glances over a Khris, "Who says anyone told me? We've been stationed in two different underground bases for months. At Omega I'd see you and Tiger drinking all the time. Have you even been any of the bars in the Poland base?"

Khris nodded, " I haven't had time, but I'll be honest, I've wanted to have a drink. But after I blew the mission to recruit Foxy in the first place because I got half tanked in the first place, I swore off booze and I'm trying my damnest to stick to it. That was the only time I have ever drank on an assignment, and it was the worst I have ever failed, so it won't happen again."

He lets that hang before going on, "Look man we are a team, we'll keep you dry. We've also got your back too. Its just whoever we meet down there is going to expect to take orders from one person not the three of us. Like I said, your the most seasoned, and probably the most known by these guys. They'll respect you before one of us. We'll be right there the whole time."

"We are directing this unit in taking action against one of the demons. They aren't going to win, but they should be able to slow it down to buy time for the kids to prepare more," Dante says.
He waits a moment and then goes on to say, "I'm not sure I like the nature of the mission actually. We're sending them on a suicide mission. Guess we need to decide if we tell them to hold their ground no matter what, or just hit and run and slowly give up ground in favor of not dieing."

"I was being facetious, Dante." Khris replied with a bit of a smirk. " And I agree with you, suicide missions are a bad idea. Hit and shift are more my sort of tactics, but not sure if I can instil sniper tactics in a situation like this."

"I know you were, but it doesn't hurt to review the briefing, especially since we still need to come up with a plan," Dante says.
"I think these demons, are used to just walking over anything standing in their way. We have to hit and run, veer off, hit them from the side, veer off hit them from the other side."

"Not sure it would be hard to sell. Simply Explain, try to hold the line, get run over. Hit and run, keep living," Dante says with a shrug.
"Do they have knees? Maybe focus fire on a knee or the back of a knee," he adds.

Dante chuckles at Khris' innuendo about the back of the plane. "We are going to stay focused on the mission for now. We'll celebrate when the job is done. You can enjoy your card game though. We'll alert you when we're about to land," he says to Khris.
